The small frame of the youkai sat in the crook of two branches leaning out above the overgrown roots of the huge oak tree, watching. He watched as the silhouette of the graceful figure sat at his desk, reading a book. The figure stood up, stretched, making it seem like the most luxurious thing in the world, and left the room for a few moments. When he came back, he stopped by a chair, and took off first his shirt, then his pants, until he was wearing only shorts, getting ready for bed, folding each item of clothing neatly and putting it on the chair. The youkai saw him open the window, looking out on the city. He gazed out for a few minutes, training his eyes on the lights of the buildings. Then, barely turning his head, he swept a surreptitious glance out over the trees, as if looking for something... He started to close the window, but deliberately left it open a crack.
The fire demon longed to leap up to the sill and sit on it, silently, until the human/youko noticed him. He would take the demon into his arms and hold him, and he could drop his angry mask. But why would that beautiful youko, Kurama, notice Hiei, a small insignificant fire demon, a Forbidden Child, a Forgotten Child? He had no reason to- all those ningen girls at school fawned over him like he was their savior. What reason did he have not to have already chosen one of those females, some of them considered quite pretty by human standards? The lights in the room blinked out and the human/youko made his way by the moonlight to the futon in the corner of the room and lay down on top of the covers. The fire demon steeled his face into a stony façade of indifference as he thought of the body of Minamino Shuuichi as it was now and that of Youko Kurama, as it had been, two souls in one body, Shuuichi's silky red hair and deep pools of bright green above a full, sensuous mouth, the part that could love and feel, and the long mane of silver hair and golden eyes belonging to Kurama, shimmering in their brightness, though they were colder and harder than Shuuichi's eyes. That person with two souls, the person who loved and laughed so easily, how could he love this, this monster full of hate and anger?
With a barely audible sigh, the fire spirit leaped up and raced away as fast as he could. He needed to get this out of his system, running blindly and barely dodging buildings, people or animals on the side-walks and rooftops of the city. Soon, to his surprise, Hiei found himself right back where he had started, although this time he was at the front door. He started, and began to back away, when suddenly he heard a noise and leaped up to the nearest tree branch as a blue sports car sped by underneath him, reminding him how much he disliked the Ningenkai. He looked up, only to find himself staring almost directly into the bedroom window of Minamino Shuuichi, the human/youko he'd been watching earlier that evening. It was considerably late, so the youko was most likely asleep. He crept silently out to the edge of the limb, and from there onto the window sill. Sliding open the window already slightly ajar, the small figure in black entered the room, blending with the shadows. He sat over to the side on the sill, watching the ravishing youth on the bed sleep in the moonlight streaming in from the window. He tried to content himself with just looking at the beautiful human, but it wasn't working.
DAMMIT!!! He couldn't stand it any more. Hiei, heart pounding with longing, threw himself out of the window, almost slamming it shut, and starting to run. Then--
"Wait!"
"Nani?" The Forbidden Child skidded to a halt on a tree branch. Cautiously, he crept back to a tree where he could see and not be seen. Although the light was not on, he could see the tall figure of Kurama's human body in the window, searching among the trees. could it be? The black clad form stole closer and closer, until... their eyes met through the trees! He jumped back in the shadows, mortified that this person had caught him, sneaking and spying in a world that wasn't even his, on his own teammate. How could he ever face Kurama again? But- wait. There had been something in his eyes, a... longing, a wanting of his own. No, it couldn't be meant for him. More likely he was wishing that one of the girls from his school was with him. Many boys his age, or at least his human age the demon thought wryly, did that sort of thing. Or maybe it was someone from his past. There had been many- maybe someone still held a place in the youko's fickle heart. Oh, it hurt so much, he wanted him so much. He wanted to caress the human's slender face and smooth, muscular chest. He envied and hated all of the former lovers Kurama had had, even though most of them had been long before Hiei was even born. He envied them the time Kurama had given them, as well as the wonderful gift of his body, and his love, and his smile...
But this was no time to be thinking about that. Hiei leapt from tree to tree, until he found himself one in the park with a suitable branch on which he could sleep for the night. He lay down, and prepared to go to sleep. But try as he might, sleep would not come. Hiei let his mind go blank, as he'd done so many other times when he had to go to sleep, sleep when you can, in the life of a thief and a vagabond.
Still, no sleep, but something else. There was a little glimmering of something, or someone in his head. sob No, it hadn't been him, there were no teargems. It was someone, someone else, who was terribly sad, enough that his sorrow would reach through space to find him, even though no one was seeking to bond like this. Slowly, the glimmerings grew as the person grew more and more despondent. And as the glimmerings grew, so did the identity of the person: Kurama!
Soon Hiei could 'hear' what Kurama was thinking, practically shouting in his mind:
Why? Why did he leave? He saw my longing, I know he did. I felt his presence, even in my room when I was getting undressed. But he left. Maybe there is someone else, and he'd wanted to say goodbye to me. Oh, Gods, what could have possibly taken my Hiei away from me? Please let there be no one else! I don't want to lose him! Oh, Hiei!
At the mentions of his name, Hiei froze, listening. It can't be. He knows. No, I'm imagining this. But I can distinctly feel his ki, his presence. No. Please.
Almost against his will, Hiei arose from his position on the thick tree branch, and started darting across the trees towards the Minamino household. Moonlight shrouded everything, and cast a soft glow on all but the shadows, which was where Hiei tried to stay. All the while he could feel Kurama's pain and depression in his head, and his heart; and though he would never admit it to anyone, the feelings in his heart were his own.
In no time at all he reached the area, where he started to slow down. As soon as he got within the usual range of the youko's ki, he felt it begin to diminish. Immediately, he slowed down to almost a standstill, warily testing to see if Kurama hadn't suddenly seen someone who comforted him. One of the girls, or his Ningen mother... A sharp pain contracted in his chest. He forced it down and listened to the voice in his head:
Is he going away again? It's not coming any more. No! He's going away forever... come back, Hiei!
That was all Hiei needed. He flew across the trees to the window he knew would be open, and stopped just behind a screen of leaves to see where Kurama was. Good. he thought He wasn't at the window; he was on the bed, asleep.
That was a dream! Hiei realized that Kurama had been dreaming all the while, but he also realized to himself that he would not be able to live without the tall youko, and if he had to, he would kill himself before condemning himself to a life alone, a life of misery. Well, dream or not, he didn't care what had called him to Kurama's window. He knew that if he didn't find out what Kurama's, well, outlook, was on the whole thing, he would go crazy.
"Creak" Hiei froze at the tiniest sound of the window opening. He silently entered the room for the second time that night, and once again, stood staring down on the human form of the kitsune. However, this time, he did not run away. Silently, he stood there for what seemed like eternity, but was really only a few minutes or so. Finally, when he just couldn't stand it anymore, he left, again. Hiei didn't go quite as far this time, only to stand on top of a light post at the end of Shuuichi's street, to watch the house. He could still feel despondency tugging at him, although less urgent than before. It's only a dream Hiei told himself. But it was a dream about him. No. People can't control their dreams. He doesn't love me. He couldn't love me. No one could love me, not even my own mother. I've never had a lover before; I don't know how to act. He doesn't want someone as inexperienced as me. After all those lovers he's had over the years. I would seem so, so innocent, so naïve. He wouldn't want that, not for what he deserves.
More doubts began to crowd Hiei's mind. He began thinking things that no rational person who knew Kurama would even think about thinking. He desperately wanted to go back to the Makai, curl up in some corner or tree and go to sleep for ever. But something held him back. Maybe it was Kurama's mind hold that was strong, even in his sleep. Slowly the fears and doubts began subsiding, if not leaving entirely, as Hiei calmed down atop his perch. He made up his mind, pushing the remaining doubts from his mind and in one swift movement was gone from the lamp post, reappearing on the top of the nearest tree. Seconds later he was at Kurama's windowsill, pulling open the window, being careful around the squeak. For the third time, he entered the room where his true love slept, and gazed down at him. But this time he didn't stay there. He steeled himself, and walked up to the futon and sat down. The sudden movement on the bed woke Kurama, who opened his shining leaf green eyes to see the fire demon in black, almost invisible on the edge of the bed. Still half asleep, and caught up in his dream, Kurama reached up and started to pull Hiei down to the bed. Startled, Hiei began to pull back, then relaxed as Kurama, who was beginning to wake up a little more, loosened his hold on the little Koorime. Kurama, now fully awake, realized who was there, and sat up.
"Hiei!" Kurama's eyes lit up at the sight of the tiny but compact body. "What are you doing here? It's late..." He said with a sly grin.
Hiei shrank into himself, as if embarrassed by something. He hesitated, then whispered, "I needed to talk to you, Kurama."
"Mmm? What about?" asked Kurama lightly, still with that look in his eyes.
Hiei growled, "You aren't making this any easier, kitsune."
Kurama's face softened. "Sorry, Hiei. What is it you needed to talk to me about?"
Hiei almost melted at the sight of his beautiful Kurama looking at him like that, so compassionate. Almost. But he kept his face a mask. He refused to show so much weakness like that. He would not be overcome like so many of those Ningen fools. But he did so envy Kurama being able to do that, to show feelings like he did, so openly.
"Well, um, Kurama..." Hiei didn't know what to say. He almost never did. Finally he gave in to his pleading insides and let his expression soften into one of almost pleading, looking to Kurama to figure it out. Which he did. And took the smaller person by the hands and gently pulled him down so that they were sitting side by side on the edge of the futon. Kurama looked directly into Hiei's eyes, said nothing, and very soundly kissed him on the mouth. Hiei's eyes widened, but he said nothing, nor did he pull away, much. Finally Kurama broke the kiss, pulling away softly so that the inexperienced Koorime would have some time to adjust. Kurama gazed questioningly at Hiei, who barely nodded. He closed his eyes and let himself be pulled down onto the futon by loving, gentle arms.
Kurama had waited so long for this moment that he was being overly careful not to ruin it. He was determined to hold back until the fire demon gave his okay, in whatever form, despite his growing passion. He opened his eyes to look down on the tiny body lying on his bed, finally, after having sought for so long for this moment.
Hiei was lying down on the bed; his eyes were still closed and he started to curl up on the futon. Kurama rolled over, and curled his longer body around Hiei's, reaching around Hiei's waist to put his hand over his stomach. Hiei started to curl up even more tightly, but Kurama gently took hold of his shoulder and pushed him flat back onto the futon. He opened his ruby eyes to gaze up into Kurama's jade coloured ones.
"Are you still sure?" whispered Kurama hesitantly. He still didn't know if Hiei was going to go through with it; there was still a chance that Hiei would just get up and leave. At the thought, Kurama felt his eyes start to sparkle and tears welled up, tears of love, of hope, of fear. He lowered his head so that the fire demon wouldn't see this weakness; he knew how Hiei pushed weakness as far away from himself as possible.
Hiei, on the other hand, was just as nervous, but for a different reason. Now that he had started something, all the old doubts and some new ones started popping up again.
Why am I doing this? I should leave. Does he really want this, or is he just doing it for me? Maybe he's just doing it to satisfy his enormous libido- I know he has one... But then Hiei looked up into Kurama's deep green eyes and what he saw there quelled all fears of rejection and abandonment. Love, desire, longing, even protection was written in Kurama's eyes.
But then- tears? Kurama was crying? Yes, there were the huge teardrops welling up out of the love.
No! It's my fault. I knew I shouldn't have done this! Hiei scowled. He started to get up to leave, but the thought of the look in Kurama's eyes stopped him.
"What's wrong?" Hiei muttered as he sat up... Kurama sniffed.
"Nothing, Hiei. I'm just glad you decided to come here tonight."
Kurama bent lower and kissed Hiei deeply for the second time that night- for the second time at all, for that matter. Hiei started to pull back, then leaned, still somewhat hesitantly, into the embrace, responding to the kiss as he gave himself up to the fox.
He paid closer attention than ever to what Kurama was doing, hoping to learn from him since he had never been in quite this situation before. Hiei was still afraid of doing something wrong and pushing away the instigator of these sudden strange feelings of joy and contentment.
Kurama broke the kiss as they both seemed about to collapse for want of air, and leaned back on the bed, pulling Hiei down with him so that they were both lying on their sides facing each other. Kurama drew Hiei over to him and wrapped his long thin, but strong arms around Hiei, just holding him. Finally he sat up. Hiei followed, with a suddenly worried look on his face.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, Hiei," Kurama smiled. "It's just that I was feeling a little hot-" as he took off his shirt. Hiei gasped; he was so beautiful! He couldn't wait to caress that gorgeous body, and...
"What are you doing?!" Hiei snarled.
Kurama hesitated, "Just taking off your shirt... do you mind?" He gave the fire demon a shy smile as he tugged the familiar black tank top off of Hiei's body. "Wow." Then he turned his attentions to Hiei's also familiar black pants; he undid the two belts and slid the pants over and off Hiei's rear and over his muscular legs. He was amazed at Hiei's size; it contrasted sharply with his small stature. Then he went to work.
Kurama decided to start at the top and work his way down. He kissed Hiei's Jagan lightly, feeling him shiver underneath him. He made his way down Hiei's cheekbone with tiny butterfly kisses, agonizingly light. He covered the demon's neck with firmer kisses open-mouthed, playing his tongue over the smooth skin. He licked a straight line down to the crease in the middle of Hiei's chest where the pectorals met, and watched as goosebumps rose down the line from Kurama's breath. Kurama moved his head over slightly and gently bit one of the small knobs on Hiei's chest. As his mouth closed over it, he felt it grow hard and taut under his tongue. Kurama teased the small piece of flesh while he caressed the firm flesh of Hiei's abdomen.
Kurama glanced up at Hiei; he was lying still, trembling with the overload of feelings running through him, with his eyes closed. His hands were clasped around Kurama's upper back, occasionally moving to caress his shoulder blades. Kurama himself reveled in the sensation of those rough yet terribly tender hands rubbing his bare back. He smiled and lowered his head, proceeding to lick a spiral around Hiei's right nipple, lightly tracing the same shape around the other nipple with his right hand. Hiei shivered. Kurama went lower, kissing his way down to the little indentation that was Hiei's belly button. He kissed it, opening his mouth and dipping his tongue in to dab at the sensitive area. He sucked at it a little. Hiei arched his back, bringing his hands up from Kurama's arms, where they had slipped when Kurama had moved downwards, and placed them on top of Kurama's head. Indulging in the feel of Kurama's silky hair, he pushed down, forcing Kurama's mouth towards the place where his pleasure was centering.
Kurama felt Hiei's hard manhood against his stomach and chest. He wriggled, feeling it rub against his chest. Hiei moaned, and pushed Kurama even farther down so that he was facing Hiei's crotch. Kurama took his hands off the bed and took hold of Hiei's long hard shaft, caressing it and stroking it up and down... He licked it, from the base to the tip, then turned down to the soft sacs underneath, and took them into his mouth, working them with his tongue. Suddenly he sucked hard, causing Hiei to gasp and arch his back; skillfully moving so as not to get poked in the eye, Kurama started to pull back, but then returned to the soft wrinkly pouches. He kissed each of them gently, then moved up to kiss the tip of Hiei's manhood. He felt Hiei shudder, and saw that he had closed his eyes, giving himself up completely to the tall redhead, trusting completely.
Kurama smiled to himself and continued on his mission, concentrating on making this first time as utterly pleasurable as possible.
He swirled the tip of his tongue around the tiny opening on Hiei's length, and tasted the salty/bitter taste of Hiei. He closed his lips around the smooth skin, still moving his tongue in faster and faster circles as he took more and more of Hiei into his mouth. Hiei groaned involuntarily, and his hips started pumping back and forth with desire. Kurama used all of his previous experience to bring Hiei into ecstasy. He pulled back for a moment, then scraped his teeth lightly against Hiei's head making him breath harder, then returned to his previous position, taking him in until he almost gagged.
Hiei rotated his hips, faster and faster, his fingers entwined in Kurama's long red hair; he was wholly oblivious of everything outside of this tiny universe made up only of himself and Kurama. His mind could only focus on his pleasure, centered on his groin, throbbing with almost pain, more exquisite than anything he'd ever felt. He felt Kurama's tongue rubbing, slick, against his pleasure-center until- then- there was only pure electricity racing through his body, touching every nerve, and, release.
When he opened his eyes, he found that he'd been clutching Kurama's head so hard that when he took his hands away, some long red hairs had come with. Kurama smiled up at him, and slid up, leaning on one elbow, to kiss first his stomach, then up to his mouth. He looked deep into the rose-leaf eyes and reveled in the love and devotion he saw there, not to mention the inherent lust... Seeing that, he got an idea, and whispered into the kitsune's ear, "So, now we get to see how good of a teacher you really are."
Kurama smiled, no- grinned at Hiei with amusement as the smaller youkai imitated his earlier actions, gently pushing at his shoulder until he lay on his back, staring up at the Koorime. Hiei bent down and firmly kissed Kurama, pushing his lips open with a gentle but firm pressure of his tongue. He tried doing that thing Kurama did with his tongue, but didn't quite make it. He resigned himself to making things of his own up. Running the tip of his tongue along the roof of Kurama's mouth, over his white teeth, and trapping his upper lip between his tongue and his upper lip.
Fascinated by the beauty of Kurama's face, he kissed the side of his mouth and then went upwards, following his cheekbone to his temple and across his forehead. He closed his eyes and delicately caressed Kurama's face with the tips of his fingers, then tracing those paths with his lips and moving his hands down to Kurama's slender torso as he did so. The kisses were so light that they were terrifyingly arousing, and finally Kurama just couldn't take it any more.
"Please, Hiei," he pleaded.
Hiei took pity, and moved down and kissed his neck with more force, ravenously, never getting enough of his skin and the salty sweat taste on it. He bit down just next to the Adam's apple, leaving a mark he knew would still be there in the morning. Kurama threw his head back, shivering. He sucked directly on Kurama's jugular leaving red circular marks peppered down his neck and spreading down onto his breast bone. Swiftly he moved down, licked one nipple and continued down, peppering his chest with kisses so light in their inexperience, they were hardly satisfying yet almost painfully stimulating.
Kurama felt those kisses shock him, electrifying his entire nerve system simultaneously. He had never known such pleasure, in all of his years of sexual experience. Since all of his former partners had been experienced, confident and sometimes even brutal in their lovemaking, he had no idea how incredible Hiei's very inexperience could be.
Suddenly, his body jerked as Hiei got lower; he seemed fascinated by Kurama's swollen organ. He drew his hand down, stroking the soft, slightly darker red crinkly hair around it, then moving his hand further to feel the silky skin of Kurama's genitalia. Using one finger, he traced the length, until he got to the tip, already slightly wet from Kurama's seed.
Kurama, going insane form all this teasing stimulation without release, moaned, and hissed urgently, "Hiei!..."
Hiei was suddenly worried that he'd done something wrong and realized that he had not been paying attention to the task at hand. No matter what they happened to be, Hiei always completed his tasks unless they threatened him, and he was not sloppy. He cursed himself for screwing up (pun not intended) and started to take his hand away.
"No, don't stop!" Kurama opened his eyes, which overwhelmed Hiei once again, besides the fact that this time they were filled to the brim with pleasure and lust. "Just don't tease- oh!" As Hiei caught on very quickly, and enclosed Kurama's head in his mouth (you know which one), discovering just how versatile his tongue really was. Swirling it around the taut skin, he enclosed more of it into his mouth and rubbed his tongue up and down the smooth tight skin. He reached up and entwined the fingers of one hand in Kurama's, who lovingly clasped his hand over Hiei's smaller one.
Kurama moaned involuntarily. He now knew first hand just how well fire demons gave blow jobs. He didn't know what it was that made this time so much better than anything he had ever experienced. Hiei could win a medal with his skill, if there was ever a contest for this sort of stuff.
He started moving his hips, in sync with Hiei's rhythms and tongue. He moved faster and faster, holding tightly to Hiei's hand with one of his, and grabbing the headboard with the other. He let the sensations cruise through him until they burst, and his seed flowed deep into Hiei's throat. Hiei was a little surprised, but be swallowed the thick liquid. They lay there for a few moments, Hiei's head resting on Kurama's lower abdomen.
Snuggling up to Kurama, Hiei laid his head on Kurama's chest, tickling him with his spiky black hair.
"Oh, Hiei," Kurama whispered. "Arigatou gozaimas."
"Hn." Hiei looked up at Kurama with a barely incredulous, slightly self- contemptuous look, questioning his own abilities to please anyone. Whatever his thoughts may be on anyone else, he still had many doubts about himself.
Kurama wrapped his long arms around Hiei's muscular chest, both covered with a light film of sweat from their earlier exertions. Just cuddling, he settled down with a sigh, resting his chin on Hiei's head with the fine hair poking up into his face. He didn't mind; the smell of the Makai trees where Hiei usually spent his nights pervaded his nostrils, reminding him of his days as a six tailed fox romping through the woods.
Hiei seemed worn out, spent. With his head firmly settled on Kurama's chest, he wrapped his arms around Kurama's slim torso and snuggled, looking cuter and more innocent than he ever did in public. Kurama settled down, curving his body to fit over Hiei's perfectly, and prepared to sleep, and dream of their future together.
