People Long Ago, Part 3

School boys from Grand Isle

This looks like a group of people who just got out of church(notice the hats in the girls' hands or on their heads and the clothing worn by all--not everday clothing on the island). The background with the boats looks like this might be the blessing of the fleet.

Adam Vizier, my uncle, served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Ocean.
My old aunt "Nis"(Anesia Esponge) sitting in our garage. This was taken when my mom had given a Christmas party for all the kids in the neighborhood in 1957. We had a lot of fun. I think Mc Vey was the Santa and he arrived in a squad car.

A group of Grand Isle school children in the late 1930's or early 1940's. In the backgroung is the Coast Guard Station on the left and on the right is the old Catholic church.
