Juliena walks in from the Living Caverns.
Juliena has arrived.

Annalise is walking around in a circle, head uptilted slightly towards the sky. She notes J'dan's and Juliena's entrances, and so glances down to nod politely. "Hello!"

Juliena emerges from the caverns, certainly not following J'dan, nat at all. "Annalise?" Her step picks up somewhat, and she waves her hand in greeting. "It's nice to see you here.."

J'dan blinks bright green eyes in surprise at the greeting, but eventually gives Annalise a nod of acknowledgement. "Hello.. Annalise." He finishes after Juliena supplies the girl's name.

Annalise smiles at Juliena, gesturing to the new knot on her shoulder. "I was Searched by Knetseth and Kawinth," she explains, "and I see you've had a similar honor. Congratulations, Juliena!" She turns her head slightly to simply grin at J'dan, as she doesn't know the dragonrider's name.

J'dan is just shy, not a sociopath. Really. He just blinks at that grin.

Wiysath nudges his rider, who finally suplies - "J'dan.. Rider of Blue Wiysath."

"You've met J'dan, haven't you Annalise?" Juliena turns from candidate to dragonrider to introduce the two. "Kawinth only for me," she grins softly to the other girl. "He almost buried me, but I managed to get out of it with a new knot."

Annalise chuckles at Juliena. "I was covered in dust by Kawinth, and Knetseth had a grand time blowing most of my hair out of its ribbon." She offers an upturned palm to J'dan and introduces herself, "Annalise, Sen...er, Candidate now, and Senior Apprentice SeaCrafter."

J'dan nods to Annalise again, "Well met." but doesn't do anything about the hand she's offered. She might glomp him, after all.. Lots of female candidates have been doing that lately. Eek.

Coralee walks in from the Living Caverns.
Coralee has arrived.

"You've been here very long?" Juliena peers at the freshly woven knots, adjusting her own without knowing it. "The barracks are filling up fast, it seems." She tilts her head, and Sasha snores and turns away, eyes still closed in sleep.

Coralee grins at everyone as she wanders out of the great hall, straw still in her hair, but she looks cheery

"'Evening Coralee," Juliena calls out, almost cheerfully. "Have you met Annalise yet? It seems she's among the newest of us." Candidate, that is. She holds her hands still behind her back.

Coralee grins at Annalise. "Hello Annalise," she says. "Haven't seen you since... that day at Keroon. Ever catch up with P'rsons again?" there is a wicked glint in her eye, but it's not malicious. "Oh, congratulations.

J'dan spots Coralee and sloooowly sneaks around to hide behind Wiysath. Can't see him.. Nope.

Annalise glances down at her hand, then withdraws it as she looks back up to J'dan with a tentative smile. She grins lopsidedly at Coralee then, and replies, "Congratulations to you, as well. He visited a few more times..." Her eyebrows pull together a bit, a sure sign of slight confusion.

Coralee grins and rests her head on her hands. "Oh /did/ he?" she asks in a knowing way. She spots J'dan trying to hide from her. "Hello cutie," she says with a wink

J'dan ducks behind Wiysath, who, fortunately for him, is almost bigger than most of the weyr's bronzes. Definitely no J'dan here.

Annalise blinks, tilting her head. She watches Wiysath for a moment, then glances at Coralee with quizzically raised eyebrows.

K'dris walks in from the Central Bowl.
K'dris has arrived.
K'dris walks past, tapping a rolled hide against his leg as he crosses the bowl, apparently headed for the living cavern. He slows and pauses as he spots the other people, offering a wave in greeting. "Evening, everyone." He calls.

J'dan pokes his head over the top of Wiysath and spots K'dris. He glances at Coralee, almost pleadingly. Look.. A nice bronzerider. Much more studly than a bluerider. Definitely.

Annalise seems to be quite preoccupied with J'dan and Coralee, both eyebrows raised. She does look away momentarily to wave and smile at the bronzerider, however.

Coralee gives Wiysath a smooch on the snout. "Hello," she says with a wink at the bronzerider. "That P'rsons," she elaborates for Annalise's benefit, "seems to be doing his best to be living up to his reputation. Seems he's going to be a father again." She peers behind Wiysath looking for J'dan. "I can't talk to you over there," she pouts

Annalise grins. "Is he?" she asks as she hears the news. "To tell you the truth, the only time he was ever very flirty was when you were there." Annalise stands on her tip-toes, trying to get a look at poor J'dan.

K'dris slows to a halt, a puzzled frown appearing. J'dan's trying to.. hide? What's this? He edges closer to join the candidates, smiling to Wiysath and peering over towards J'dan. "What're you up to?" He asks curiously, trying to figure out what's going on.

Coralee giggles. "Well, I don't like to tell him to go /completely/ away," she says. "What would be the fun in that?" She frowns at J'dan. "Oh I /don't/ bite," she says exasperatedly. "Do you want me to come and get you?"

Annalise points at Coralee. "She winked at J'dan," the Candidate explains to K'dris, "and he hid." She cups a hand around her mouth and lowers her voice slightly to ask the bronzerider, "Is he very shy?"

Poor J'dan crawls out from behind Wiysath and stands, brushing himself off. "Just getting this...Fuzzy green thing for Wiysath." He explains, holding up a small caterpillar which he tosses to Wiysath who pokes at it with his big blue snout. << Pretty! >> "How are you, Ked?" He asks the bronzerider, though he glances warily at Coralee. Sure she doesn't. "I'm /not/ shy." He says, meekly, to Annalise.

Coralee grins and grabs J'dan by the arm. "'Course you're not," she agrees, and gives him a big smooch on the cheek.

K'dris stifles a grin at Annalise's explaination. "I didn't /think/ so. Not unless it was Daphne, anyway." He adds as an afterthought, barely noticing he's spoken it aloud. "Who me?" He snaps back to reality, blinking a little. "I'm fine enough," He says, trailing off and staring bemusedly at Coralee.

Annalise looks truly apologetic as she tells J'dan, "I'm sorry. You just seemed it, is all..." Her eyes dance as Coralee grabs the bluerider.

J'dan frantically tugs his arm away from Coralee. No use trying to be nice.. This girl just can't take a hint. He stops abruptly, gaping at K'dris. "What about Daphne?" For once, he actually likes the way the conversation is going.. Maybe Coralee finally /will/ get the hint.

Coralee giggles. "You cheating on me already J'dan?" she asks, her eyes glinting amusement at Annalise. "You're going to break my heart."

Annalise bites her lip in an effort to keep her giggles down, but her shoulders shake in betrayal. She doesn't say anything, but just watches.

K'dris scratches at his head slightly, looking rather absentminded. "Daphne? Well you always seemed to blush whenever I mentioned her after Wiysath flew her Kotoryth, is all." Not that Ked can talk, really, given the way he used to blush around a certain resident. "Well, they're not weyrmated or anything, I don't think," He tells Coralee helpfully. "At least, I don't think so..?" He glances enquiringly at J'dan, all innocence.

Coralee pouts. "I hope /I/ impress a green," she says with a suggestive look at J'dan. He's so much fun! "Then /we/ could be weyrmated." She grins to see how he takes this latest statement, and seeing as he hasn't managed to release himself from her grip, plants another big old kiss on that there cheek.

J'dan was blushing whenever Daphne was mentioned even before he impressed, but that's beside the point. "No, we're not weyrmated.." D'ooh.. That was definitely the wrong thing to say. He rubs the back of his fist over that cheek, still trying to tug his arm away.

A fit of coughing ensures as K'dris struggles to cover his amusement at Coralee's words. "Well, you never know, Cora. Didn't Wiysath search you? He likes green things." He's not helping his fellow rider much, is he?

Coralee giggles and shows off her new /green/ outfit, wonder why she chose that particular colour. "I'm /so/ glad," she says to J'dan's denial. "I'd be /so/ disappointed if I missed out," she winks at Annalise again. "Yes Wiysath /did/ search me, do you suppose it means that he likes me?" she asks K'dris with a completely straight expression

Annalise's face is turning pink with her efforts not to laugh. It becomes harder and harder to remain silent, and every now and then a giggle escapes.

K'dris nods carefully in agreement with Coralee. "Oh, yeah. I'd say so. Wouldn't you, J'dan?" Innocent, innocent, sweet l'il Ked.

J'dan looks around frantically, then gives his arm a violent tug. He doesn't care if it gets ripped out of it's socket; he was about to start chewing it off, anyway. His gaze finally falls on Ked, and he snags the bronzerider's hand, squeezing tightly. "Dear, please.. Can't we stop pretending? I don't want to hide anymore." He throws his arm around K'dris' shoulder and gives him a half-hearted hug.

Coralee frowns as her extra appendage gets ripped away. She looks at J'dan and Ked dubiously, pouting. "Aren't you weyrmated?" she asks K'dris

K'dris is so busy being amused at Coralee, that at first he doesn't realise what's happening. He chokes a little, staring at J'dan in wide-eyed surprise. Puzzlement gives way to realisation, as he suddenly 'ohs!' and catches on. "Are you sure, Jer? I'm worried what everyone will think." He pats J'dan's arm a little, before answering Coralee, "That? Oh, that's just a flight."

Isabel walks in from the Central Bowl.
Isabel has arrived.

Coralee pouts, "but you said..." she says, her voice assuming that little-girl voice. Since she's not terribly interested anyway, and just having some fun, she decides to ignore this latest development, maybe even improve on it some. "Wonderful," she suddenly says brightly. "I think /he's/ cute too," pointing to K'dris. "I wonder if all three of us could fit in a weyr?"

Isabel blinks. What did she just walk into? And does she really want to know?

J'dan nods vigorously in agreement with K'dris. "Yes, yes.. The two of us have been secret..." He blushes.. He can't say the l-word.. No way. "We've been /special/ friends for /turns/ now.. Neither of us has eyes for anyone else. Isn't that right, Ked, my dear?"

K'dris is lightly hugging J'dan, the bluerider's arm over his shoulder. At Coralee's words, he freezes. Well.. that was an unexpected development. Ked glances at J'dan, wondering how to handle this one. Oh, that's good. He beams at the bluerider, "Yes, that's right, hon. We don't want anyone else but each other." He's getting the hang of this.

Dear? Special friends? Isabel starts to turn right back and go out the way she came. She must need more sleep or something. She's hearing and seeing things.

J'dan is evil.. Corrupting that poor, innocent bronzerider. He makes a kissy face at K'dris. "That's right, dear."

K'dris spots Issy and winces. That's gonna complicate things. He turns back to J'dan and.. ewww! "Not in public, dear. You'll frighten the children." And Ked as well.

J'dan wasn't gonna /kiss/ Ked.. That'd be just plain gross. "Oh, poo." He heaves a melodramatic sigh and pouts.

/Maybe/ she'll stay. Just to see what happens. Issy turns around, slowly, arms folded 'cross her chest, no-nonsense nanny look in her eyes. "So what have I been missing?"

K'dris peers over to try and see if Coralee's convinced. Maybe he can still get out of this while it's safe to do so.. oh, right. He lifts up the hide in his hand, saying, "Well, I hate to run, but I really do have to deliver this. Er, soon."

J'dan keeps his firm hold on K'dris' hand. "Oh, dear.. Why don't you just send Snoot?" Did Ked catch his warning glare?

Coralee smiles sweetly. "That's just wonderful," she says. "I think he's cute too," winking at Ked. "Surely they could find a weyr big enough for us three."
Coralee doesn't necessarily mean this, but she'll stir anyone.

"Weyr for three?" Someone had better inform Isabel of what's happening before she gets.. peeved.

K'dris is.. trapped? Eeep. "It's.. er.. a very important message. For Rita. Can't have the Headwoman mad at us, can we dear? She'd never help us clean out that weyr we want to move into." Did he catch the glare? Maybe. Did he catch the warning? Doesn't look like it. Shaking his head at Coralee, he adds firmly, "Just for Jer and I. And our lifemates."

Coralee aws and winks softly at Isabel. "What a shame," she says. "Oh well, I guess as the resident harper, it'd better be me that breaks the weyrwoman the news," and she makes to walk in the direction of Mataya's weyr.

J'dan nods emphatically. "Yes.. Wiysath and Knetseth are both so large, there'd be no room for anyone else. Jus Ked and I. And our lifemates." K'dris' hand gets another squeeze. You're not going /anywhere/, bub.

K'dris peers, wide eyed, after Coralee. "No, wait, /Candidate/," He stresses the word. "You'll do no such thing! You're a Candidate now, and all of your former duties are moot." Woo, he gets to throw his authority around.. for a good cause.

Isabel has connected.

Coralee frowns. "but /Bronzerider/" she says innocently. "I wouldn't want /you/ to trouble yourself.

K'dris can't escape, he's trapped. So he'll make the most of it. "Oh, believe me, I won't be. Say, Coralee, have you scrubbed those stables clean? Because if you've finished I know there's the guest weyrs that need a good cleaning."

"Weyr for three? Perhaps someone would like to explain what's going on here?" And from the flash in Isabel's eyes, it might be good to do so before she gets.. peeved.

J'dan is a big strong bluerider with a big strong bronzerider. He's not afraid of someone getting peeved, but he's afraid of being glomped. "Ked here and I are... Special friends. Very special."

"Oh? Do tell." Eyebrow arches, arms still folded across Issy's chest, foot lightly tapping on the bowl floor. She wants to hear.

K'dris clears his throat a little embarrasedly. He lets J'dan talk though. Issy scares him.

Annalise has been standing off from the group, giggling quietly this whole time. Really, she has been.

No fair.. Issy scares J'dan, too. "Uhm. We've be very /very/ good friends for several turns, now.. Isn't that right, /dear/?" He emphasis the dear quite a bit.

Issy isn't scary. Just because her father has a lifemate who could sit on all of you and squish you doesn't make her scary. "I see." She's not buying this one bit. "Several turns?" And what's up with this dear business?

K'dris winces. Dragged into it again. "Uh.. yeah. That's right. Dear. He's right." Blathering, Ked? Never! "Weyr for two, that's it."

J'dan nods. "And we've been thinking about vacationing /together/ in Ista. Alone." He gives Ked's hand another squeeze.

"Sounds lovely." Issy rolls her eyes, foot still tapping. She's /still/ not scary. Just watch out for the fangs. "The poor women of the Weyr. They'll be.. heartbroken." Isn't she fun when she's sarcastic?

K'dris can't help it; he chokes over that one. "We /have/?" He splutters in surprise, quickly followed by, "Oh, right. Ista. I remember now." He shoots Isabel an unreadable look. "Coralee, at least, dear, that really was a /terrible/ way to tell her." He says to J'dan, looking a little disappointed in his.. special friend. A terrible way to tell Ked, too.

"I wonder what Mataya will say when she finds out." Isabel smirks, though something steely glints in her eyes.

"She already knows." J'dan explains. Hey, he owes Ked, after all.. Kind of. "She was the first to find out, after us of course." He grins goofily at K'dris.

K'dris shrugs a little, pretending not to care, then nods agreement to J'dan. Yeah. "She understands, though she doesn't like to be reminded. So I expect you /candidates/ won't go upsetting her." Hrm, maybe this'll work out okay after all. He beams in return to J'dan.

"So is that what caused the.. problems?" Very scary Issy? Naaah... Just as sarcastic as ever.

K'dris blinks wide eyes at Isabel. "What problems?" He asks, all innocence now.

J'dan blinks, then echoes K'dris. "Problems? What problems?" He's confused, but he doesn't let that show.

"Problems." If they don't know, Isabel isn't going to elaborate.

Juliena gives J'dan a big snug, resting her head on his shoulder. J'dan is snugged!

K'dris shakes his head confusedly. "Problems?" He repeats. He doesn't know.

Coralee smiles wickedly. "Why J'dan, why didn't you tell me before..." she trails off, but what she's said is enough to suggest... "If I get pregnant, I won't be able to be a candidate."

Isabel nods, steely glint steelier. "Problems."

J'dan just shrugs. "Well, /dear/ I should really go find... Wiysath's rock." It was already found, but he doesn't mention that. "I'll deliver that message for you since I'll be inside." He smiles sweetly at K'dris and snatches the scroll away, striding into the weyr.

K'dris gapes after J'dan. Hey! You! No fair! You can't run out now.. eek! "Er.. yes." He answers Coralee. "You won't be." Isabel, he tries to pretend like he didn't here. Problems? What problems?

Coralee pouts after J'dan. "Never mind, bronzerider," she says, with a wink at Isabel. "I'm sure he won't be gone long enough for you to get lonely. I wonder if they've heard about this at the hall. Issy, you just came from there, have they?" 1
