C'den and Charissa's Weyr(#514RAJLVe)
A large cot situated near the center of the weyr has replaced the small broken one that had once been there, with pillows of all shapes, sizes and colors strewn about it. At the foot of the cot is a large woven basket where two sleeping felines can often be found. A woven tapestry of a green and brown dragon the length of the entire wall hangs above the cot, probably the only thing in the weyr that isn't too horribly gaudy or tacky. Several holes in the walls provide perfect perches for firelizards.

Charissa strides in, pushing her goggles off her face. A few red marks are left behind, as the brownrider rubs at them for a moment. Ow. Owowowowow. "Cal?"

C'den is currently plopped on the couch, waving a bootlace around for a tiny brown firelizard to chase. "Hey, Chari." He says cheerily, looking up at her entrance.

Cal warbles. That's his boy C'den is playing with. Charissa gives a quick smile, before ooohing softly. "He's a cutie... where'd you get him?"

"Fei's clutch." C'den replies, grin broadening as the larger blue Aoi joins the fun.

"Fei? Oh! Fei! Khav's green, right?" When Cal answers Charissa, she chuckles at the brown. "I remember now... Cal caught her." Hey...

C'den nods. "Yeah, Khav's.." He glances up in surprise at that. "I did not.. That's impossible." And that's just /wrong/.

Charissa shakes her head, pointing to the brown with the puffed up chest, watching the smaller brown play. "No... this Cal. The lizard." She didn't tell him? Must have slipped her mind.

That news didn't help. Big Cal is still blinking in surprise. "Your 'lizard caught Khav's..." He mumbles slowly, frowning. "And you didn't even tell me?" He sounds close to roaring, now.. Yikes.

Charissa blinks, taking a step back. "Um... yes?" Bad answer, Chari. Bad answer.

C'den glares darkly. "/Your/ firelizard caught /Kh'vil's/ firelizard." He doesn't sound very happy about that...

Charissa ums, very, very softly. "Yes... Cal caught Fei. It's not like Khav and I, well...." And they didn't. C'den just happened to be around when the brownrider suddenly turned amourous, right? Let's hope.

C'den must have been in the caverns or something, 'cause he doesn't remember any amourousness... "You /didn't/? How is that possible?" He sniffs and turns away, still glaring. "Well, it's not like I give a shard, anyway." He sniffs again, indignantly. "Do whatever... or /whoever/ you want. I don't care." He mumbles, wiggling that bootlace again.

Charissa blinks, eyes widening. Just like that. He bootedher out, just like that. Expression changes, as she moves back from the couch, and C'den. "A.. alright," she mentions, subdued. A roar comes from outside, as she greenrider picks up her gloves and goggles.

C'den has decided to ignore the offending brownrider. Sniff. He glances down at Muffins. Do you hear anything? He doesn't.

Charissa opens the door and walks into the ledge.
Charissa has left.

Ilexth> Oryzath spreads his wings and leaps off of the ledge.
Ilexth> Oryzath has left.

C'den watches Charissa leave, but seems completely uninterested. Was someone just there? He didn't notice.

Ilexth> Oryzath backwings for a landing.
Ilexth> Oryzath has arrived.

Ilexth> Charissa slides off of Oryzath with practiced grace.
Ilexth> Charissa has arrived.

Charissa opens the door and walks in from the ledge.
Charissa has arrived.

C'den is still sitting on the couch, his back to the weyr's entrance.

Charissa wanders back inside, an empty sack over her shoulder. Head tilts left, then right, before she moves toward the cot. She dips underneath, pulling out her boots. They get stuffed into the bag, along with some clothes.

C'den glances over at Charissa, smirking. "Back so soon?" He asks mildly...

Charissa continues to stuff things into that bag. Scrolls, clothes, everything she can get her hands on. "I'm moving down into the guest weyr until I can talk to Sorsha about getting another weyr."

C'den sniffs, but hides it with a cough. "Oh. That's nice. I'm sure you'll be happy there.." He glances away, scowling. "And I'm sure you won't have any problem finding someone else to warm your bed." Bitter? Never.

Charissa says, flatly, "No one's shared by bed but you, Cal." So what if he doesn't believe her? She'll say it anyway. She looks around, before giving a sigh. "I just know Cal caught." Vividly.

"Say whay you want. I'll believe what I want." C'den mutters, rolling his eyes. "And you've obviously shared a bed with someone else before... Or was that nonesense about Cal catching Fei just an excuse to get into Khav's pants? I know you had a... a /thing/ for him during candidacy." He covers the hurt expression with another roll of those eyes.

"Jays and wherry feathers! I tell you the truth, and this is how you treat me? /Fine/," comes the cold exclimation. "You can sleep in here by yourself forever for all I care." Angry words from a hurt Chari, as she begins to walk to the doorway.

"So, you're alowed to get angry when I don't do /anything/," C'den begins, shouting as he stands quickly, "But I'm not alowed to be angry with you when you /really/ do... something." He snorts, rolling his eyes. "At least you aren't denying how you feel about Khav." Feel? What happened to /felt/?

Charissa rolls her eyes, turning back to shout. "What are you talking about? I don't feel anything for Khav anymore. Didn't since I found out you actually liked me." When /Khav/ posed the question to her. "But of course, you accuse me of everything in the book, and when I've done nothing...." She turns away. "I am leaving." Little Cal creels, moving to his owner's shoulder.

C'den sniffs again, whirling around on his heels and turning his back to Charissa, arms crossing in front of his chest. "Fine! Go between and stay there for all I care!" He shouts, loud enough for most of the Weyr to hear.

Charissa winces, visably, before she rises up to her full height. Nothing compared to a giant... but she's really mad. Over to the greenrider she strides, and without a warning, places her foot cleanly in his shin.

C'den gives a startled cry as he falls to the floor, moaning as he curls into a protective ball. "What was that for?" He growls, dark eyes as cold as between as they meet hers. "/I'm/ not the one who... who... Well, you know you did." He snaps, glaring again as he slowly manages to rise to a sitting position.

"Be lucky I didn't kick higher you unfeeling Jerk. Why can't you believe me? I didn't not sleep with Khav. I don't see why you don't ever take my word. I do with you." Lucky... Chari's not kicking him while he's down.

"You do not!" C'den shouts angrily, slamming a fist on the ground. "You never believe anything I say! Not with a lot of convincing, anyway. And," He looks up, those dark eyes unfeeling. "/And/, how did you not sleep with Khav if Cal caught Fei?" Poor ignorant sap.

Charissa hrms. "Cause I was here?" Don't mind the tears pouring down her face, at present. "And I do, because I love you... you, you Jerk!" She looks away, hands moving to wipe angrily at her face.

"No you weren't." C'den says softly, looking away as the anger melts back into hurt. "I would have remembered." He may not be the brightest guy around, but he does have a good memory. "And... And don't you understand anything, you great big dimglow? I only get mad because I love you. I love you, and I can't stand to see you even near anyone else." He sniffs audibly, turning away.

Charissa hiccups, embarassed and angry that she did so. Her gaze falls back on C'den, before she murmurs, "Feeling's mutual. I don't even think about til someone says that you've been seen with someone." And mostly teasing her about it, blowing it out of proportion.

C'den sniffs again, pulling his knees to his chest and resting his chin there. "Well... Well... If you felt the same then you wouldn't have... have..." He trails off, ending his sentance with a shrug. Nevermind that it wasn't even her fault...

Charissa gives a snort. "See... you still don't believe me. I haven't been with anyone else, and just just don't believe me." She moves to heft the bag on her shoulder.

C'den sniffs again, burrying his face in his hands. "Don't..." Comes the soft, muffled cry from the ball 'o' greenrider on the floor. Louder, "Don't."

Charissa pauses, head bowed. "You don't want me to go?" Head turns, as she lets the bag slip. Just a touch. Not completely.

C'den's head rises slowly, but he doesn't move to look at the brownrider. He bites his lip and says so softly that it's barely audible, "Don't leave me. You can't. You just /can't/..."

Charissa's gaze doesn't lift, but she does continue to listen to C'den's comments. "Why not? I thought you wanted me to." Honesty pours out, now.

C'den sniffs yet again, arms wrapping around himself tightly. "I wish it weren't so, Charissa, but I just can't live without you." Sniff again. "And I think that spending all my life in between would feel better than being hurt by you." So /that's/ why he's shivering...

Charissa blinks, eyes widening at that. "Oh /Cal/." Well, the firelizard knows it's not him she's talking to, as he takes to a perch. She drops her bag, moving to wrap her arms about the shivering greenrider.

It's funny how Cal always inadvertantly solves these things, isn't it? Lex helps every now and then, too. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." C'den mumbles, all in a rush.

"Shhh... I just didn't think to say anything because nothing happened." Charissa pretty much forgot. Little Cal told her. Otherwise, she didn't care too much.

C'den is probably just shivering 'cause he has a cold, but that between idea sounds nicer. He leans against Charissa, sighing softly. "I love you, Chari..." He breathes, the corners of lips finally twitching into a weak smile.

Charissa returns that smile with one of her own, lips pursing to press against his. "Love you too." Smile widens a touch, as she lets out a quiet yawn. That kick must have taken a lot out of her.

C'den sniffs again, idly rubbing his nose. "I dunno.." He mumbles, shrugging. "An hour ago? I get.. I get sick when I'm..." He licks his lips, then sighs. "When I'm upset." Aww. He was upset over her. Isn't that sweet?

Charissa tsks, taking out a pink hankie. "Here... and you shouldn't get so upset. If something like that were ever to happen... I wouldn't hide it behind you. The only way it could ever happen... well, everyone'd know about it." Dragon flight. 1
