The Magister, called Fouga for it's original
French manufacturer, was the first plane manufactured by the Israel Aircraft
Industries. Although this aircraft is designated as a trainer, Fougas were
used in combat during the Six Day War. These planes were remodelled at
IAI in 1980 and renamed the Tsukit. Over 300 engineering changes, improving
control
systems and cockpit displays, have prolonged the Tsukit's
life by at least a decade.
