Agent 3-AR1

Agent 3-AR1 was a shining star of the Inquisition. Early in his career, he was identified for his genius, not only in scholastic matters of the Inquisition, but also in matters of planning as well - strategy, tactics, logistics, manipulation, dimplomacy. After years of exemplary service within the Inquisition and the Ordo Malleus, some began to question his pursuit of the Black Library. Always pouring over old texts, diverting missions to chase after rumors and legends, he came under scrutiny from within the Ordo Malleus itself.

Knowing that he was increasingly under suspicion, he planned waited for the right time to make his move. Durring the purging of a small research station whose crew had become tainted by chaos, 3-AR1 killed all 12 members of his team.

Since going renegade, he has been spotted in nearly every corner of Imperial space. A master of disguise, he travels freely, and has thus far evaded capture. His knowledge and experience in the Inquisition has enabled him to dupe local commanders on multiple occassions. 3 loyal agents of the Inquisition have been killed while confronting 3-AR1. His capture or execution are a priority within the Inquisition. His motives are unknown, though it is suspected that he continued to pursue the Black Library.

Using Agent 3-AR1: 3-AR1 may be taken as part of an Imperial Guard, Space Marine, Sisters of Battle, or Chaos army. He may not be used if other Inquisitors or Ordo Malleus troops are used, nor may he be used in the same army as any other special characters.

SPECIAL RULES

Master Strategist: 3-AR1 is always the last model to be set up. If your opponent has a model with a similar ability, roll off to see who places last.

Mislead Opponent: Agent 3-AR1 uses his cunning not only to outmanuver opponents, but to mislead them as to his intentions. After all figures are set up, the player fielding 3-AR1 may move one hero or squad (not vehicles) from the enemy army. The figure(s) must still remain in the set up zone, and abide by all normal set up rules. The model may not be placed in unpassable terrain, or in terrain that would be otherwise unreachable by the model under normal circumstances.

Custom Bolt Pistol: 3-AR1 has tinkered with his standard issue imperial bolt pistol and ammunition. This has resulted in a higher rate of fire, and slightly better penetration. The weapon is AP 4, and may fire twice if 3-AR1 moves, or three times if he remains stationary.

Note on miniatures: Since he is a master of disguise, there are many possibilities for figures to represent the rogue agent 3-AR1. Necromunda figures, Arbites, Imperial Guard, Inquisitors, and other figures are all pretential figures or basis for conversion. The figure I currently have chosen to represent 3-AR1 is one of the old Warzone figures from Target Games:
