There are those within the Klingon Empire who do not believe that Kahless the Unforgettable was the saviour of the Klingons. Instead they believe that he was a liar sent by evil beings to draw the Klingon people away from the truth.
Before the arrival of Kahless the Klingon people worship many deities, each family had their own gods.
But there was one group among them that had discovered which one really ruled their lives,
and whom they should worship. Just as they were about to spread the word of this God, a stranger appeared with a new way of life. A way of honour and loyalty. This swept the Klingon people away from the true religion and to what is the Empire today.
But the small group of Klingons who had discovered the truth persevered. They formed a small
organisation, known simply as teHchu'. They survived underground for 1400 years, where they worshipped their lord in the ways he had shown them. For their God was one of desires and fantasy, of power and indulgences.
After that time they emerged to discover that the Klingon people were still pursuing the way of honour and loyalty. The teHchu' then discovered what the liar Keyless had done to their true God. He had turned him into the enemy of the Klingons, and he had named him veqlargh, or Fek'lhr. Seeing this, and watching how the Klingons treated the veqlargh, the teHchu' decided to change their name to veqlargh juppu', and the Friends of Fek'lhr were born.
The veqlargh juppu' saw that they would not be welcome on the homeworld of Qo'noS so they travelled to a new world. During journey there was a great disaster and very few survived the pilgrimage. They eventually found their new home world and on it built a new monastery. The named the world yuQ bel, or Planet of Pleasure. And it was from here that they began to spread their words.
It has been 100 years since the Great Pilgrimage, as it came to be known, and the veqlargh juppu' have grown in size. Their teachings have been spread across the Empire and the Federation. More and more Klingons have been joining and small covens have sprung up all over alpha and beta quadrants. These covens worship the veqlargh by having huge feasts and performing rituals.
