A TRIBUTE TO
DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES
1 July 1961 - 31 August 1997

"A Rose Blooms and then Fades, but the Beauty and Fragrance Are Remembered Always."

Diana, Princess of Wales died in a car crash in Paris. A sea of flowers formed at Buckingham Palace as people flocked to pay their respects to her, millions went to sign Condolence Books at British Embassies around the world, many lined the route her cortege would pass by on the day of her funeral, and this little webpage is my personal tribute to her.

The Princess of Wales will always have my respect for her work with AIDS patients, the underprivileged, the sick and dying, and landmine victims. There are stories circulating around that she did all the charity work because she wanted to be in the spotlight, and that she is glamour-seeking. All these didn't matter to me. What is important and relevant is that her work has done a lot of good. By openly hugging AIDS patients, she put across to the world that we are not going to contract AIDS by mere physical contact with them---something that a thousand pamphlets would not achieve; and she also highlighted the plight of the underprivileged, the sick and dying, and landmine victims by her trips to various homes, hospices and Africa.

The world mourns and tears flow across nations. Let us all say a prayer for her soul.
