A Brief Biography
The man behind the legend. Tropical Tim - a dead ringer for Tom Selleck for the visually challenged. Check out for yourself the strange "coincidences" in the lives of "Honest Abe" Lincoln and Mostly "Trustworthy Tropical Tim."

Pictures Of Our Beautiful Hawaiian Isles
Some of the best pics of Paradise on the web. If these photographs don't get your heart a racing, check your pulse - you may be dead. Some sites include a "slideshow" preview, which presents a series of pics that load automatically and sends you to the homepage of the site.

My Brand New PhotoPoint Site
I bought a digital camera for myself last Christmas - I was tired of all those lumps of coal Santa used to bring - and set up a site at photopoint.com to show them off. I have lots of pics of Waikiki, and add to on a regular basis. I have pics of the beach, the hotel where I work, the gals of Dukes, and many more. Just click on the link and you'll be magically transported. If for some unknown reason the link doesn't work, just surf on over to PhotoPoint and enter in my email addy - tdbinwaikiki@webtv.net - in the visit album space. If you'd like to be notified when new pics are added, just send me an email.

Tropical Tim's Other Photos
These are some pics I took before the digital camera. Most are my own pics. A few, a friend (Curly Sam) took - HI SAM! There's a bit of a look around the island of Oahu, including the North Shore, some pics of the Anderson Estate used in the Magnum, PI series, and a few pics of Maui. Worth the trip - and FREE!!!

Before You Come
Some tips on how to get more out of your visit. This is what I did before my first trip here (and I had such a good time I ended up moving here) - it could happen to you. Even if you don't end up living here, you'll enjoy your vacation more.

How Do I Get There?
I recommend you fly. Or, failing that, (and boy, are my arms tired), let an airplane do the flying for you. It is possible to save BIG BUCK$ on airfare if you take a little time to plan ahead. I've put together a few tips to help you save $$$ getting here.

Where Do I Sleep?
One of the biggest lies about Hawaii is that all hotel rooms cost a gazillion dollars per night. LIES!! It's quite possible to get a very nice room for under a million dollars per night. If this is still out of your price range, I have a few suggestions on finding lodging for under (or around) $100 per night. If you don't mind spending a million per night, please email me for a very special 50% off offer (tax included).

Cheap Grinds
Everybody has to eat. If you forgot to include food in your budget, do not worry. I have personally researched the cheap grinds available in Waikiki. These tips will satisfy the growling in the stomach without relieving you of a lot of green. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner - tips included. Chow down.

Dreaming of Hawaii
If you can't be in Hawaii right now, let Hawaii come to you. Take a little mini vacation to Hawaii. Listen to Hawaiian music, courtesy of KPOA live from Lahaina, Maui.

Critters
A reprint of a story from the Honolulu Advertiser about a visitors reaction to an encounter with a gecko, which is a small harmless lizard that eats bugs. Also: My Mom's first encounter with these same critters .
