Adventurers Club

Guests looking for a one-of-a-kind experience should head to the Adventurers Club, Pleasure Island's most hilarious and unique nightclub. As soon as guests enter, they are transported back in time to a small club where adventurers from around the world gathered to tell their tales. When guests pass through the doors, they find themselves in the Zebra Mezzanine overlooking the Main Salon. The walls are adorned with knick knacks and photographs collected by the clubs members. In the Main Salon, situated underneath a large and undeniably-unique chandelier, guests will first encounter some of the clubs zany members and loyal employees. They include Pamelia Perkins, the persnickety female club president; Otis T. Wren, the blowhard club treasurer and supposed adventurer; Graves, the very serious and loyal club butler; the Maid, an eye-catching but not too bright presence; Hathaway Browne, a daring adventurer and official aviator of the club; Fletcher Hodges, the slightly off-centre club curator; and Samantha Sterling, a daring adventuress. On the wall of the Main Salon, guests will also meet the Colonel, head of security, who will probably teach you the club's song, and if your lucky, his beer song. Branching off from the Main Salon are three rooms: the Mask Room, home of rare and unusual native masks that have a mind of their own; the Treasure Room, which houses the club's most rare and unusual booty; and the Library, where all the main shows take place. Inside the large wood-paneled library, guests sit at tables facing a small stage (although the action is rarely confined to the stage). On the right side stage is an organ that has supposedly fallen from the balcony above and is now haunted by a musically-inclined ghost named Fingers. The wacky shows, which come equipped with great lighting, sound and neat special effetcs, occur about every 45 minutes. They star the club's zany cast of characters and any of the audience they feel like picking on. The club serves a variety of interesting drinks and light snacks. In the Zebra Mezzanine, there is a small gift shop where you can pick up a multitude of adventurous souvenirs.
