The Buddhist stupa at Bodhnath is the largest and perhaps the most important stupa in Nepal. It stands on the outskirts of Kathmandu, and it marks the center of a small Tibetan community in the city. This image was taken in the late morning, and though resized and cropped, it is otherwise unaltered. I'm told this is not, strictly speaking, a Tibetan stupa but rather is Newari. Nevertheless, my recollection is that the Tibetan community is most prominent there.
