“Cordelia?” Buffy called as she stumbled over the mess on the floor.

“In here.”

Buffy opened the door to Cordelia’s bedroom, and was shocked to see that it was even messier than the rest of the place.

She didn’t know that was possible. “This is gross.” Buffy said, trying to find a seat that didn’t have something on it.

“That’s what Doyle says, but I think it’s my choice and I choose to-”

“Be a slob?” Buffy filled in dryly.

“Well, yeah.” Cordelia answered defensively. “It’s not like you’re the neatest person in the world.”

“True, but still. My apartment has never looked like this.” Buffy accidentally knocked over a dish which contained a slice of pizza covered in green slime. “Ewwwww!!!!!!!!!! Cordelia!!!!!” She cried, trying to get as far away from it as possible.

“Oh, I forgot about that.” Cordelia said with a shrug.

“Forgot about what?” Doyle asked, coming into the apartment.

“That.” Buffy said pointing to the pizza.

“What is it?” Doyle asked, wrinkling his nose.

“Pizza.” Buffy said, still glaring at her best friend.

Doyle examined it, and then turned towards Cordelia. “Delia, that’s disgusting.” He said with a shudder. “Shouldn’t you at least *try* to keep the place tidy?” He asked.

“Are you calling me a slob?” She asked, obviously insulted.

“Yes!” Buffy and Doyle said in unison.

“Yes what?” Angel asked as he joined the other three.

Buffy pointed to the pizza. “Would you believe that’s pizza?”

Angel examined it. “How old is it?” He asked obviously slightly disgusted.

“About six months old.” Cordelia answered him.

Three people stared at her in shock and disbelief. “Six months?! It’s been six months since you last cleaned your bedroom?!” Buffy asked, her mouth dropping open.

“Over, about eight, and so?” Cordelia asked defensively.

“So your a slob.” Doyle answered her, getting fed up with his girlfriend. He turned to Angel. “Can I stay with you in the bat cave for a while? I was supposed to move in here tonight, but.....”

Angel nodded understandingly. “Yeah, my place has two bedrooms.”

“Thanks.”

Cordelia protested. “But...Doyle you were supposed to move in!”

“It’s a pigsty, I’m not movin’ in until you learn to tidy.” He answered her.

Cordelia turned to Buffy. “Buffy, will you help me clean it up?”

”Why me?” Buffy protested.

“Because you’re my best friend, please?” Cordelia begged.

“Fine.” Buffy gave in with a shudder. “Gross.” She said as she stepped on something which she didn’t even want to know the identity of.

Doyle and Angel were shocked when they walked into the apartment 6 hours later. It was spotless.

Buffy came out of the kitchen a slightly green colour to her face.

“What is it baby?” Angle asked immediately, talking her in his arms.

“I’m never going to be able to eat again.” She moaned into his shoulder.

Doyle went to the bedroom when he heard another moan. There he saw a pale Cordelia laying sickly on the bed.

“What’s wrong darlin’?” He asked, coming over to her.

“It was horrible!” She wailed.

“I know.” He commented. “I saw what the place looked like beforehand.”

“Doyle, don’t let me get that way again.” She begged.

“I won’t.” He promised. “I don’t want to go through that again.”

“Neither do I.” Cordelia shuddered. “Neither do I.”
