The Flinstones, one of the most popular cartoons of all time, was based on the sitcom called "The Honeymooner's". The Flintstones continues to air around the world, and is still watched by many.

The show mainly revolves around a man named Fred Flintstone, his wife Wilma, and Little daughter Pebbles. Fred works at "The Bedrock Gravel Company", where he crushes stones day after day. Wilma, his wife, is a housewife, and basically keeps their life in order. She does everything from washing clothes, to cooking Fred's dinner (and that's no small task)

Next door to the Flintstones live the Rubbles. The Rubbles consist of Fred's best friend Barney (occasionally), Wilma's best friend Betty, and Bam-Bam, their little son. Bam-Bam was once left on the Rubble's doorstep one day, and from that day on he was their son. (In the live-action movie, he was adopted by them through an agency). Later on Bam-Bam and Pebbles grow up to marry each other.

Barney was always a friend to Fred, even when he was being a jerk. They used to constantly go bowling, or attend water buffalo meetings together. He was a true friend to Fred, even when Fred was being stupid. Betty and Wilma were also best friends. They used to do things around the house and go play bridge together. Their favorite activity was shopping though, and it is shown whenever they yell "Chaaaaaaarrrge iiiiiiiiiiiit!!!".

Various fan fiction, TV movies, toys and other spin-off's have come out since the original series, and the Flintstones live on through these.
