Lucy Coe was first introduced has a quiet, shy librarian in 1986 on General Hospital. She later transformed herself into the sexy lover of Kevin O'Conner - who she was later forced to testify in his murder trial. She later wrote a best-seller about the events surrounding the affair.
Soon there after Lucy learned she was pregnant with Jake Meyer's child (Bobbie Spencer's then husband) and finally offered to let the couple adopt her baby after it was born. Although Lucy then miscarried she found comfort in Dr.Tony Jones whom she married in 1987 but soon after divorced.
Then, Lucy married Alan Quartermaine (Big 'ol hat and all) and was determined to bear the Quartermaine heir. She arranged to sleep with "a friend of a friend" who was later replaced by her pal, Scott Baldwin. Lucy did concieve but was thrown out by Alan after he learned of the affair and in turn miscarried again.
Lucy launched her own cosmetic company, Deception but fled to New York after Dominique not her was named "Face Of Deception". Lucy returned in 1992 to find Scotty married to Dominique who was dying. Lucy agreed to carry Scott & Dom's child, Serena who was born in an out of the way cabin in the middle of the snow by Scotty himself. But he took Serena and skipped town leaving Lucy heartbroken once again.
In 1994 Lucy met Dr. Kevin Collins and underwent treatment with him. Later they fell in love. Lucy helped Kevin overcome his guilt about his brother and reaccuring dreams about his ex-lover, Grace.
In 1997 Lucy learned she was pregnant once again and her and Kevin were engaged. Scott returned to town when learning Serena was kidnapped by Rex Stanton. Lucy teamed up with Scott to help save serena. Serena was found and Rex sent to jail. Lucy then sadly miscarried. Kevin proposed to Lucy once more after surviving an almost deadly explosion. She agreed again to become Mrs. Dr. Kevin Collins.
