She is a witch who was actually in training. An unsung princess. A goofball. A hooded girl with a sense of humor. A girl who has rodentiophobia (fear of mice). In short, she was just like any other girl.
Her friends Leeja (Riiya) and Shiné (Shiine) help her on her adventures. And for her battles, until episode 56, she calls upon her alter ego, Princess Joan (Hullyup) to let her handle evil doers.
When she was a baby, a big battle was ensued. Her parents, a king and a queen, were turned to stone by the Big Boss, Daimaru (Daimou). Her grandfather, Sir Genus, was inprisoned. To prevent her from being imprisoned and put into danger, Sarabee (Seravy), then a teenager, took her away from Daimaru, took care of her and became his student until she turned 10. She was actually a goofball because whenever she tries to appear something, something else appears instead, which makes situations worse.
At the time she came to the School of Magic, where both Sarabee and Dorothy went, she met her teacher, Rascal and found out that although he always has a whip (looks scary, too), he was one of the best teachers in the school.
At school, she met Yakko on episode 2 (as a rival, and thinks ChaCha is monopolizing Sarabee's love), Maureen (Marin) on episode 3 (because of Leeja), and Suzu (Orin) on episode 11 (because she loves Shiné very much).
She had numerous enemies from episodes 1 to 56. These include: Cula the Vampire, who thinks he is the cutest man in the world; Ran Ran and Can Can, the twins who first turned her and her friends into babies, then into animals; Professor Mikeneko, who is fund of science; his siblings, especially his little sister Shireneko; Aunt Créme, who thinks is the best baker in the world, Sushi Man, who Cha Cha became prey to; and some hypnotized persons who are really nice to Cha Cha (Dorothy, Suzu's grandfather, who has a back problem, Rascal, and George, Maureen's real, unrequited boyfriend).
On all the princesses I know, Cha Cha is the only one who neither wore a crown or live in a castle. That's because she was used to be commoner more than a royal. She never known she was actually a royal until episode 25.
On episode 56, she, together with Leeja and Shiné, finally decided to take off the three things needed to call her alter ego, Princess Joan: the necklace with a ruby that Cha Cha wore, the bracelet Leeja wore, and the ring Shiné wore. The reason: to seal off the cave where evil comes out. Joan banished evil-doers before, but because of Daimaru, it was opened again. With critical thinking, the cave was resealed and became solid rock (Leeja stood and made stunts at the center.). In return, her family gave her new tools: a brooch, which acts as a two way radio; a bracelet, a.k.a. Cresent Aurora Bracelet; and a ring(?).
Favorite thing about her: her mistakes and childish behavior.
