THE SEINFELD CHRONICLES -- Pilot (07/05/89)
This pilot episode features the comedian's droll observations on life and centers on his misadventures as a single man. in this special, Jerry is ecstatic that a woman he met on the road is coming to stay with him in New York, but he's flabbergasted when he discovers she's engaged to be married.
Note: The pilot did not include Elaine, Jerry's apartment is a studio, and their hangout is called "Pete's Luncheonette."

THE STAKE OUT -- Episode 2 (05/31/90)
Jerry agrees to accompany Elaine, his ex-girlfriend and now platonic friend, to a birthday party if she'll accompany him to a family wedding. At the birthday party, Jerry meets Vanessa, a girl to whom he's attracted. But other than the name of the law firm for which she works, Jerry is unable to get her phone number or even her last name. His flirtations with Vanessa anger Elaine and Jerry is stuck trying to figure out how to re-establish contact with Vanessa without Elaine's help. Jerry's parents, who are staying in his apartment temporarily offer him advice. Jerry decides to 'stake out' (with George) the office building where Vanessa works in the hope of 'bumping into her' there at lunch-time.

THE ROBBERY -- Episode 3 (06/07/90)
Jerry returns home to his apartment in Manhattan - which he's left in Elaine's care - after an out-of-town comedy performance, to find that the place has been burglarized. Fed-up with life in his old place, Jerry gives in to his best friend George's urgings and considers renting a newly available apartment that George discovered (through his job as a realtor). When Jerry, Elaine and George all go to check out the place, however, it turns out to be so nice that George would like to rent it for himself.
Note: Kramer's first real entrance!

MALE UNBONDING -- Episode 4 (06/14/90)
No matter how hard he tries to tactfully avoid him, Jerry can't seem to get around having to spend time with a loud-mouthed, self-centered and insensitive childhood acquaintance, Joel Horneck. Jerry tries to 'break-up' with Joel politely but when he does, Joel breaks down and starts to cry. What is Jerry to do?

THE STOCK TIP -- Episode 5 (06/21/90)
George convinces Jerry to join him and invest in a hot stock opportunity he's been tipped on: a new technique for televising opera. Reluctantly, Jerry agrees to invest. When the stock's value starts to drop, Jerry bails out to cut his losses - George, however, sticks to his guns and vows to go down with the ship. Subsequently, a weekend get-away to Vermont with his new girl- friend, Vanessa, is soured for Jerry by many factors - including bad weather and his continued desire to track the stock's performance.
