The Bedroom Scene
This special 'Living Together' has many firsts. Not only is it the first time that the 'F' word has appeared, and the language in general has been loosened up, but it's also the first time we have a bedroom scene, albeit a very short shot of one.
Filming on the 22/03/00 feature yet again Heather and James Rust playing Sonia and Marty and reintroduced the character of Tyler, but this time played by James Cann. Ben Sanderson was unavailable to play the part at the time.
The scene shot involved Sonia and Marty talking and getting very close. The following scene involved Tyler coming round to make it up with Sonia, only to catch his girlfriend in bed with another man.
All good stuff.

During the late summer, there is hope to finish the first episode of 'Conclusions' with Zoe and Jodie Ashby with Richard Peacock.
However, these are only plans and like all good plans no doubt will change...

Harsh Language Used For First Time
During filming last night a few lines were changed to suite the mood of the scene, now the first 'F' word is used on a Peacock Production.
"The use of the 'F' word is purely justified" states Living Together Producer Richard Peacock, "It was suggested by Katharine Hardwick that it would help show the viewers how annoyed Anita was at Michael and that she had had enough of his whinging about the party." Richard went on to say "This isn't the first swear word this episode has seen, Alex, Ian, Michael and Martin will be using 'adult' language, never before seen in 'Living Together'. Darren Blagden's Steve Thornton from the second series was the only person to use very low key swear words". Richard is not worried about how the series has taken this sort of turn. "I thought long and hard about bad language and whether to use it or not, but like the actors in the show, the programme has grown up as well. Besides, when people are cross and upset they tend (not always, but sometimes) use words not in every day speech. Quite how Carol, Ricky and Bianca kept a close watch at what they were saying is beyond me. I just wanted to make this new 'Living Together' different from other soaps out at the moment."

Two extra actors have agreed to take part in the new one off. Julie Kidby who plays Alex Freeman and one-timer Neil Bailey who plays Charles Fosworth-Smyth.

However, Neil's brother, Gary who played Harvey Marvey has confirmed that he won't be able to make the filming.

One character that should be returning but will be played by a new actor is Tyler Summerfield. In the second series Ben Sanderson played him, this year he may be played by 'Fox Cliff' star James Cann.

The storyline and outcome are being kept a secret. "At the moment I can't say much about the new show, but there is the confrontation between Michael and Ian that I have been waiting for since 1995!".
When the script has gone through it's first draft and finalised, it will be sent to the actors involved.

Living Together 2000?
Richard is thinking about a one-off special of Living Together set around the year 2000, new years eve party at the Holmsteads. The special would be a combination of explanation (of what has happened since the last episode in 1995) and drama (set mainly around the Michael/Anita/Ian love triangle) and in true soap tradition at these sorts of celebrations, a death!
Peacock are trying to get as many as the old 'Living Together' stars in as well although James Fuller may have a problem as his character did murder Brian Kennedy after finding out he was into drug pushing.

Talks Over Living Together Continue
Talks are underway with Executive Producer Richard Peacock about the future of Living Together. After the drop of the latest scripts because they did not come up to scratch, talks and ideas have been banded around the Peacock office as to what should be done next for the show.
One of the suggestions is mixing the Oakland House idea in with Living Together, an idea that Richard is very interested in. Talks will continue over the weekend. Report Date: 21/08/98

Has Living Together Really had its Day?
The new '98 Living Together has taken a turn for the worse, Executive Producer is said not to be too happy with the latest script and says that the whole thing needs looking at.
"This will be the third attempt to revive the show," explains Richard Peacock, "Our first attempt was in 1996, straight after the second series had finished. Three episodes were written but none were quite right for the series." A second attempt happened a year after, but that did not even make it pass the draft plan. Now, the third time does not seem so lucky either. The first part of the script is complete but Richard is just not happy.
"There seems to be something missing, I'm not sure what it is, but at the moment the script doesn't seem right." However, Richard does say that they will keep looking at the show for filming in December.
"I'm not giving up, I owe it to those who would like to return to the show for one more outing, but I owe it to the show to give it a story that will do it justice."
Richard said that he is always looking for fresh, new ideas and he's always willing to have a look. If you think you can help you can e-mail him at richardpeacock@hotmail.com.

Living Together Will Return
The long, awaited return of the popular soap 'Living Together' is to return for Christmas 1998 in a two part special. The story will evolve around a 'storm of 87' type night where server weather once again hits the south of England causing mayhem and tragedy. It is said that a number of characters will be killed off in the night, one new person and at least two regulars of the successful second series of.
Living Together was last seen in 1995 in an a seven part series, but because this took nearly a whole year to make, specials are now the next best thing. Katharine Hardwick who plays Anita Sylvester has so far been the only person approached and agreed. The majority of the cast is expected to return with a few new faces, and some very old ones too.
Keep an eye out for more updates. Report Date: 29/07/98
