Episode Pilot.
Nimmy, Simon and Joe are students who rent a house from landlord Mr. Pearson who brings round a new resident, Harvey. All four of them have money problems and try to think up ideas on how to get rich quick. Charles, the annoying neighbour, has lost his goldfish Goldie and has put a massive award out for its return. Simon, Nimmy and Harvey oddly enough manage to find it.
Season One
Episode 2
Ian and his sister Wendy go to pick up Joe, but when Nimmy goes to look for him, his bedroom is empty. Ian and Wendy go looking for him. Meanwhile, Harvey bumps into Brain who states that he is being blackmailed and needs help. Harvey says that he'll see what he can do. While Ian and Wendy are searching for Joe, they come across Simon who has collapsed on the road.
Episode 3
After finding Simon, the search is still on to find Joe. Simon's house mate, Brain is still having money troubles, who is it that is blackmailing him and why? Joe unexpectedly turns up and explains that he was out at a party and not with Simon, a comment that Brian gave. Brian gets a message saying that he has to deliver a package for an unknown person, but Ian, Simon, Roger and Michael all follow him. The unknown person sees these four following Brian and him. That night Joe goes to his car to go out but someone is waiting and he is strangled.
Episode 4
Harvey explains to everyone at the Coffee Shop that Joe has been attacked and is now in a coma, Ian decides to go and visits him. Later that day Harvey hits the big time and wins a holiday on a cruise around the Mediterranean, he packs and Ian takes him to the airport.
That evening Anita and Michael have their engagement party, everyone is invited. All the girls help get ready and Anita shows all but Faye what she's wearing that evening. While everyones gone Faye tries on Anita's engagment ring but when they all return she accidently drops the ring in the cake. It is found when Ian almost chokes on it when he bits into his slice.
Roger gets an unexpected visit from the police, it seems that an old love of his, whom he had a child with has died in France leaving him as the only know relative of Joanne Parsons.
Episode 5
It's Christmas but Nimmy is on her own as Harvey is only his holiday and Joe is still in a coma. Wendy is out delivering cards but when she returns she is confronted by her brother about her over spending on their joint account from their parents. Later Ian helps Carol move in to her new home when Carol's baby starts moving. That evening when Ian is back at home he gets an unexpected visitor, Anita wants to know why Ian asked her not to marry Michael. His reply, he's still in love with her. They kiss.
Episode 6
What should Anita do? She loves Ian but she's engaged to Michael. Meanwhile, Joe Newnham returns back to Nimmys place but his Coffee Shop business has collapsed and the building repossessed. His whole life is falling around him.
Another familiar face returns, Harvey comes home for a short visit but only to collect his stuff. He has met a girl out in Spain and he is return there so they can get married
Michael's brother Chris turns up for the wedding and runs into Ian and Wendy.
Episode 7
It's the wedding. Anita and Ian have been seeing each other since Christmas but Anita decides that it's best if she carries on with the original plans and marry Michael, after all lfe would be less complicated with him. Ian feels very uncomfortable as best man but decides that keeping quite about his affair with Anita is the best thing, but only because that is what she wants to do.
Episode 8
Ian finds he has a short posting abroad and he has to leave within a couple of days. He'd been planning to move on after the wedding anyway. He leaves but there is a problem with his flight as it appears on the news that it has crashed. Wendy doesn't know what to do, Carol calls Alex and asks if she would go over for a while and look after her.
Simon finds out Brian's secret and in a fit of rage, Simon attacks him but things go too far and Brian is left for dead.
Episode 9
Alex is looking after Wendy after the plane crash but an unexpected phone call explains what happened. Ian missed the plane and is alive and well. However, Alex decides not to tell Wendy that her brother is not dead, she has other plans...
Oblivious to the crash and supposed death of Ian is Michael and Anita who return from their honeymoon.
Episode 10
Simon decides that enough is enough, it is now time to give himself up, but before he hands himself in he visits the local church. Ian arrives home, much to the surprise of everyone. When Ian explains that he has been calling but only Alex ever answered the phone he runs over to find out what exactly has been going on. Followed by Wendy, Michael and Anita in front of everyone Alex explains that she's jealous of Ian loving Anita and not her. Then, to make matters worse, she explains that Anita is pregnant with Ian's baby.
This leads to Michael throwing Anita out. She moves in with Carol.
Meanwhile, Joe is feeling very sorry for himself. His whole business has gone and he doesn't know where to go now, he starts to turn to drink.
Episode 11
It's the Christmas party at Nimmys. Alex is there to wined people up while Joe is having a drinking problem. Wendy explains to Nimmy what Alex has done while Carol tries to work out why Alex went to such great lengths to break up everyone.
Joe asks Ian to take him to the Off Licence but Ian tells him that he's had too much and to start sorting his life out. Joe decides that if he won't be driven to the Off Licence he drive him self and he steels Ian's car keys and drives off. The problem is that Faye is walking to the party and is knocked down by him.
Episode 12
Carol is waiting to hear from the doctors about Faye, but its bad news. The accident was too much and she died a few minutes earlier. Anita is rushed into hospital, she is having the baby. Ian meets up with Carol and Wendy at the hospital and goes to see Anita.
Joanne decides that she doesn't want to live with her dad Roger any more and decided to leave for pastures new.
When Anita returns home from the hospital, Ian asks her to come with him to Germany. She accepts the offer, just before Michael decides to visit to make things up with her.
Season 2
Episode 13
Wendy has a car accident and Steve is late home from work causing concerns for wife Carol. Meanwhile Anita is being harassed by the Child Support Agency to find the father to her baby son Joe.
Episode 14
Ian arrives back from Germany. He's looking to see if Anita will have him back. There's tension between Carol and daughter Sonia about boyfriend Tyler, but Tyler has other problems in the shape of Dean who's after an old debt left by his dad.
Episode 15
Alex becomes suspicious of Steve when she over hears a phone conversation. Things seem to be falling apart for Carol as her husband isn't coming home after work and Sonia is seeing a lot of Tyler. Wendy starts to receive some strange phone calls while Alex tries to make thing up between her and Ian.
Episode 16
Sonia tries to persuade Tyler to come to her party while Ian is still confused on what to do about Anita. But Sandy is more concerned about who the real father of Joe is. She convinces Ian to take a blood test, but Ian confides in Nimmy first. Ian also talks to Michael and explain to him that Anita has returned back to the UK.
Episode 17
Anita wants to make it up to Michael, he is at first, unsure whether to listen to her. She tries her best to put her point over to him. Meanwhile, Dean is still after Tyler for his money.
The phone calls to Wendy are still coming, she doesn't know what to do.
Episode 18
It's party time. Sonia has her 16th birthday party, but not all goes to plan. Carol does not like Sonia spending the whole party with Tyler in her bedroom.
Sonia storms out with Tyler. Carol realises that her life is in tatters.
Episode 19
Ian is off to work while Wendy is left at home on her own. The truth about Steve's affair is revealed and Carol throws him out. That night Wendy meets an old flame, but he's not visiting to rekindle love, he's out for revenge. Meanwhile Alex and Ian make up, but deep down Alex wants more.
Dr. Faraday (Pauline Dolton) explains to Ian (Richard Peacock) and Alex (Julie Kidby) what condition Wendy is in after her attack.
