Chapter 8: After All Is Said And Done

After everyone finds out that Stephan has entered the room, they all decide to be very calm about it and not get upset. Stephan looks over at the Spencer's table and sees Nikolas sitting there. Stephan goes over and says,"May I ask what is going on here?" Nikolas says,"I'm having lunch with my family,that's what's going on here." Luke gets up from the table and says,"Stephan, I just don't feel like fighting you right now. In fact, I don't want to fight you anymore." Stephan then looks at Laura and says,"Is this another one of your tricks Lasha? You are trying to convince my nephew once again that you are pure and innocent and you don't want to cause trouble?" Nikolas says,"First of all, don't talk around me when I am in a room." Stephan says,"Now Nikolas wait a minute!" Nikolas says,"No! You wait a minute!" I have been putting up with your crap for I don't know how long. I've been taking everything you say to heart. You told me to stay away from my own mother, I listened.You told me to not involve myself with my brother and really not with my sister."

Stephan says,"Look, you are my nephew, my flesh and blood. How can you turn on me like this?" Nikolas says,"Let me stop you right here. I am not your nephew, I am your son!" Stephan with a shocked look on his face says,"Lasha! You told him!" Laura says,"I did'nt tell him anything but the truth. I felt it was time for him to know. By the way,Luke knows too and he accepts him for who he is. Luke knows deep down that Nikolas can never be as cold hearted and cruel as you, Stephan. Luke walks up to Stephan and says,"I don't want to fight anymore Stephan. I want Nikolas to know his mother and his siblings. I knew what it felt like not to have a family and I now know that I was mean for keeping Laura away from her son. I want it to stop. I'm willing to bury the hatchet because none of us are getting any younger here." Nikolas says," Uncle,father,whatever you are, I want it to stop too. Let me and Lucky be brothers and let us share our sister and our mother."

Stephan gives up and says,"Alright Spencer, you won." I guess that my son wants to know you guys better. I guess it is time that Nikolas knew what is was like to have a loving family. I must admit, the Cassadines are very dysfunctional and I know it is not in Nikolas' heart to be that way. I was raised a Cassadine and my ways probably won't change that much, but I will bend my ways a little and let Nikolas come to know and love you, Laura and your family." Luke holds out his hand for Stephan to shake and says,"Truce?" Stephan holds out his hand and says,"Truce." Stephan says,"Oh Nikolas, there is something else I have been meaning to tell you. Katherine Bell and I are....."Nikolas stops him and says,"I know, I know. I can understand why you are attracted to her. She is very attractive. I overheard Katherine saying that she was going with you to the Jacks' party tonight. It's totally fine by me."

Stephan says,"Then you don't mind us being there....together?" Nikolas says,"No. Besides, I will have a young lady on my arm just as beautiful, if not even more." Nikolas looks at Gina and give her a smile and Gina blushes and smiles back. Lucky tells Luke,"Oh by the way dad,"I have a date of my own!" Luke says,"Oh? Who might that be?" Emily then walks over and stand by Lucky and says,"Me Mr.Spencer!" Luke says,"Wow! Look at you! You sure do look better...I mean..I mean" Emily says,"No. That's ok. I know how horrible I must have looked a few moths ago, but I'm all better now and ready to party." Laura says,"Then what are we waiting for! Let's go home and change!" Ruby shouts out,"Wait guys! Let me close the diner up for the evening!"

Meanwhile at the outback, The Jacks' prepare to throw their big party in honor of Brenda,Julia and the babies. Ned and Lois are busy at work setting up the stage and doing sound checks. Robin agreed to sit with Janey and Bridgette while Brenda and Julia help Jax and Jerry. The caterers are bringing in food. Lady Jane and Lois' mother Gloria are taste testing all of the food. Jax shouts out,"Lady Jane, cut that out!" She says,"I'm just trying to make sure everything is good." She sticks her finger in another dish and says,"It is." Brenda and Julia are blowing up balloons until they turn blue in the face. Ned says,"Why did'nt you just have them blown up?" Brenda with a mousy voice says,"Because I wanted to talk like Jerry the mouse!" Ned says,"You guys are crazy!" Jax is checking the list and notices that the Spencers are coming as well as Stephan and Nikolas. Jax says,"Oh no! Look who's coming to the party!"

All of them come over and view the guest list and says,"You better hope this does'nt get ugly." Ned says,'' I sure hope the Spencers and the Cassadines don't start going for each others throats." Jax says,"Keep you fingers crossed." Brenda says,"We better get home and change." Julia says,"Oh yeah. We have to dress the babies too!" Everyone races home to get in their fancy duds. Janey and Bridgette have on very expensive dresses looking as cute as can be."

The whole town gets to the outback before the Jacks'. Jax and the rest does not even know that the others planned to show up 15 minutes early. Luke and Laura come in with big smiles on their faces. Lucky and Emily come in right behind them. Nikolas and Gina walk in. To everyone's surprise, two new couples enter the room, Taggert and Keesha, Mac and Felicia. Luke says,"Hmmm.....Det.Baldy and little bit. That's an interesting couple." Laura says," I'm glad to see Mac here with Felicia. I never really liked her with Tom." Mac and Taggert go over and hang up the special banner they had made up for the Jacks'. Katherine then walks over to the door and says,"Alright, here they come. Lucy come on and hide before they see you." Lucy says,"I want to see the babies!" Katherine grabs Lucy by the hand and says," Come on!"

Everyone then jumps out and says,"Surprise!" To their surprise it is only AJ,Carly Tony,Bobbie, Jason and Robin. They say,"Sorry, but go on hide because we saw them getting out of the car on our way here. Come on..hide!" Everyone goes to hide. Jax says,"Why is it so dark in here?" He turns on the light and everyone jumps out and shout,"Surprise!" The Jacks' with a astonished look on their faces says,"Hey? What is this? We are the ones throwing the party." Luke says,"There is something we wanted to give you." Laura says,"Yes. We wanted to do something special for you to try and repay you for all the joy you have brought back to this town." Ruby says," You guys gave back something this town has'nt seen in a long time...happiness." Mac and Taggert then go over to the stage and release the banner. The banner says," The Jacks, Our guiding light."

Mac says,"Oh and one more thing." He hands Jax and Brenda a key to the town and he holds up a sign that everyone will see when they get ready to enter the town of Port Charles. The sign says,"Welcome to Port Charles( Port Charles In A Whole New Light)." Jax looks at eveyone with a tear in his eye and says,"Thank you everybody. This is the nicest thing a group of people has ever done for me, besides my family of course." Mac says," Listen up everyone. Sonny Corinthos is in jail and he's there to stay. Now that this town has agreed to get along better, we can wart off any harm that tries to get to either one of us. There is no more every man, or woman for themselves. We stick together and we handle things together. We're together through good times and bad. Luke says,"It sounds like we are standing here marrying each other."

After the town agrees to handle everything together, they all hold up their glasses and say,"United we stand,divided we fall. Port Charles In A Whole New Light."
