Chapter 11
Brenda arrives at the beach and sees that Jax has everything all laid out
for their picnic. He had even started a fire. Brenda starts to walk towards
Jax and sees that he is watching every move she makes. Brenda stops suddenly
and bursts into tears.
Jax, who had been sitting by the fire, jumps to his feet and walks over to
her. "Brenda, what's the matter? Is there something wrong?"
"Yes." Brenda says between sobs.
Jax puts his arms around her. "Tell me what it is."
"You'll think its silly."
Jax kissed the top of her head. "No, I won't." Jax reaches into his pocket
and pulls out a handkerchief. He dries her tears for her and leads her over
to the picnic blanket. Jax sits down and pulls Brenda into his lap. He holds
her close and whispers into her ear. "Now tell me why you were crying."
Brenda takes a deep breath. "I was crying because of you."
Jax is a little taken aback. Jax shifts her position until she is facing
towards him. "Me?"
"Yes, you. I'm not really sure how to explain this, but I'll try." Brenda
touches the side of his face with her hand. "Jax, I've only known you for
a day or two, but I feel like I've known you forever. I think I've smiled
more since I met you than I have in my whole entire life."
"And that made you cry?" Jax asks with a grin on his face.
Brenda was starting to get upset again. He must really think that she was
silly. Brenda pushes her way out of Jax's arms and stands up. Brenda looks
down at Jax. "I told you that you would think that it was silly." Brenda
turns and starts to run along the beach.
"Brenda, Wait" Jax hollers, but Brenda doesn't stop. She just starts to run
faster. Jax jumps up and starts to chase after her. Jax catches up with her
almost immediately. He tackles her and they tumble down to the sand. Brenda
lands on her back with Jax on top of her. "Brenda, let me explain please."
Brenda starts to struggle. "No, let me go!" Brenda continues to struggle.
She twists and turns as she tries to get free. She tries to slap him.
Jax grabs both of her arms and pins them above her head. "No, not until you
let me explain."
Brenda struggles for a few more minutes before giving up. She lets out a
sigh of frustration. "Fine. Explain."
"If I let you go, do you promise not to run away"
"I promise, now let me go."
Jax releases her arms and rolls off of her. He stands up and brushes the
sand off of his body. He extends his hand to Brenda. She takes it reluctantly.
Jax pulls her up and starts to brush the sand off of her. Brenda is getting
a little impatient. She moves away from him. "Stop it, Jax. Just tell me
why."
Jax takes a deep breath. "Okay. I didn't think the reason you was crying
was silly. I was grinning because I was very happy about what you said."
Brenda covers her face with her hands. "Oh Jax, I am so sorry. I can't believe
I did that. I'm just so used being with Sonny"
Jax grabs her hands and pulls them away from her face. He pulls Brenda towards
him and lowers his head. Jax kisses her long and hard for a few minutes,
then he releases her "I'm not Sonny, please don't ever compare me to him
again." Jax turns and walks back to the house.
Brenda walks over to the picnic area and sits down in the sand. "No, Jax,
you are defiantly not Sonny." Brenda sighs as she remembers the kiss he just
gave her, then she packs up the picnic basket and heads up to the house.
In Port Charles, Sonny is pacing back and forth in his penthouse waiting
for the person he called. Sonny checks his watch and sees that they are a
half-an-hour late. "Where is he? I told him to meet me in an hour." Sonny
goes over to the window and looks out. A knock sounds on the door and Rico
opens the door. He announces that someone is there to see him. "Show him
in." Rico steps aside and Luke Spencer enters.
"Hey Sonny. How are ya? Still making an "honest" living" Luke holds out his
hand.
"Always." Sonny laughs and shakes Luke's hand.
"I don't have a lot of time to talk because I'm in the middle of something,
but what kind of job did you have for me to do?" Luke owed Sonny several
favors, so he was more than happy to do anything for him.
"I haven't been able to find Brenda for a few days and I'm getting really
worried about her. Do you think you could track her down for me?"
"No problemo. Just give me a couple of hours and I'll see what I can come
up with."
"Luke, thank you so much. I am very grateful that you can help me. I have
tried all of my connections and nothing has turned up. I'm very worried about
her, I love her so much"
"I know you do. I'll call you in a couple of hours and let you know what
I find out." Luke then leaves the penthouse.
Sonny sits down on the sofa. "Brenda, tomorrow at this time I just know that
we will be together again."
Back in Malibu, Brenda had returned to the house. Jax had been very quiet
and had hardly said a thing. She had gone crazy waiting for him to say something.
Jax had been polite, but distant when he announced he was going to go to
bed. Brenda had been so disappointed because she had wanted to be with him,
but here she laid in her bed alone.
She had been tossing and turning most of the night because she couldn't sleep,
all she could think about was Jax. She looked at the clock. It read 12:17.
Brenda threw back the covers she couldn't take much more of this. She grabbed
her robe and put it on. She made her way over to the door, she opened it
and headed down the hall towards Jax's room. She placed her hand over the
knob and turned it.
Jax was laying in bed reading contracts. He looked up when he heard the door
open. "Brenda, what are you doing here?"
In Port Charles, Sonny's phone rings. "Corinthos."
"Sonny, its Luke. I know where Brenda is."

Chapter 12
Sonny stands looking out the window of his penthouse. The phone starts to
ring. Sonny walks over and picks it up. "Corinthos."
"Sonny, its Luke. I know where Brenda is."
"Where is she?"
"Brenda's in Malibu..." Sonny hangs up the phone before Luke can finish telling
him where he can find her in Malibu. Luke tries to call Sonny back, but there
is no answer.
Sonny ignores the ringing phone. He's too busy making plans to go to Malibu
to get Brenda back.
In Malibu, Brenda is having trouble sleeping, she has been tossing and turning
for hours thinking about Jax. She looks at the clock. It reads 12:17 am.
Brenda throws back the covers, she can't take much more of this. She grabs
her robe and puts it on. She leaves her room and heads down the hall towards
Jax's room. Brenda opens the door.
Jax, is sitting up in bed reading some contracts. A sheet covers the lower
part of his body. Jax looks up when he hears the door open. "Brenda, what
are you doing in here?"
Brenda closes the door and walks over to stand next to the bed. "I couldn't
sleep because I was missing you."
Jax gives a grunt of disbelief. "Are you sure it wasn't Sonny you were missing?"
Jax goes back to reading his contracts.
Brenda feeling a little rejected, turns and starts to head out of the room.
She stops just before getting to the door. Brenda turns back and looks at
Jax, to see if he noticed her leaving. He is still reading the contracts.
She sees how his golden chest gleams in the lamp light. Brenda wonders what
he is wearing under the sheet.
Brenda sighs and walks back over to the bed. She grabs the contracts out
of Jax's hands. Jax, taken by surprise, looks up at her. "I thought you left."
Jax folds his arms over his chest and lowers his eyes.
"I started to, but I changed my mind." Brenda sits down on the edge of the
bed and touches his chest with the palm of her hand. She starts to move it
up and down. Jax continues to look down. "Jax." Brenda sighs and lowers her
head and starts to kiss his mouth. Jax doesn't respond to her kisses. Brenda
pulls away and tries to get him to look at her, but he won't. She stands
up and takes off her robe. She gets back up on the bed, this time she stretches
out on top of Jax. She starts kissing him again. Jax doesnt return
the kisses at first, but the temptation is too great and he matches her kiss
for kiss.
Jax and Brenda kiss for a few minutes before Jax pulls away. Brenda moans
at the loss of his kiss. Jax rolls her off of him and pulls back the sheet.
Brenda sees that he is naked under the sheet. Before she can react, Jax rolls
on top of her and starts to kiss her again. As he kisses her he helps her
slip out of her nightgown and then he tosses it onto the floor. He stops
kissing her mouth and starts to kiss her everywhere else. Brenda begs him
to stop and make love to her, but Jax continues to kiss her for a few more
minutes. He pulls back before he takes her and looks into her eyes. "Who
am I, Brenda?
"Jax."
"That's right." Jax smiles and then he gives her a quick kiss on the mouth.
He takes her then. Jax and Brenda make love a couple of more times before
they fall asleep in each others arms.
In Port Charles, Sonny has been getting the arrangements made to go to Malibu.
Everything was going along good until he realized he didn't know where in
Malibu Brenda was. Sonny starts to swear. He pulls out his cell phone and
dials Luke's number.
"Spencer."
"Luke, its Sonny."
Luke laughs "I figured that I was going to be hearing from you."
"Yeah, well I got in a hurry before. I'm very eager to get to Brenda. I miss
her so much." Sonny sighs.
"I know you do."
"Okay, enough of this. Where is she Luke?"
Luke tells Sonny that Brenda is at a beach house in Malibu and gives him
the address. Sonny thanks him and hangs up. He then dials Jason's number.
Jason answers on one ring. "Yes?"
"Its time to go."
"Okay, I'll be there in a few minutes."
Sonny hangs up his cell phone and goes over to the window and looks out at
the sunrise. "Brenda, I promise we'll be together again before the sun sets
tonight." Sonny walks away from the window and grabs his jacket. He leaves
the penthouse.
As the sun rises in Malibu, Brenda with a content smile on her face opens
her eyes. She remembers the night of love making that her and Jax shared.
Brenda turns over to his side of the bed to see if he is awake. Jax's side
of the bed is empty.
