CHAPTER I
A GENT IN WAITING
Jax stood at the gate waiting for the plane to land, he was so anxious, which
was totally
out of character for him, he kept pacing back and forth, back and forth.
His golden hair
glistening in the light of the terminal. The muscles under his well fitted
suit jacket rippling
with every swing of his arms. His pants so well fitting that they outlined
the sinewy
firmness of his derriere. The lean features breathtaking in their stand,
deep crystal blue
eyes with a never ending twinkle, firm soft lips, hair mussed from running
his hands
through it to many times. Enough to make any woman take a second look. But
the most
devastating thing was the way he was totally unaware of how his looks affected
the
opposite sex.
She was against the wall watching him, actually staring if the truth be told.
She thought to
herself "What a fine specimen of man." She watches him continuing to pace,
like a
panther ready to spring on his prey, looking at his watch then at the gate.
She notices
more details that she didn't notice before. Looking gorgeous as ever in his
dark navy blue
suit, white shirt, striking tie, gold cufflinks sparkling at his wrist. His
hair a glisten golden
blonde with lighter streaks running through it. She catches a wift of his
aftershave,
Sebastian she thinks but not quite sure.
He moves the cuff of his shirt back to look at his Rolex yet again and she
wonders to
herself "I wonder why he is so anxious. Girlfriend maybe, naw probably a
wife." But then
she notices that there is no ring on his hand. "Hmmmmmm....maybe it is not
a wife after
all. Shame I don't have more time to find out." Just then they call the flight
to Chicago.
She bends down and picks up her bag and walks towards the gate opposite of
where he is
waiting. However she must walk by him to get to where she is going so she
decides to
take one last look at the most gorgeous man she's ever seen. "Oh well she
thinks, anyone
that good looking is either taken, gay, or stuck on himself. He probably
won't even notice
me." Little did she know as she boarded her plane, not only did he notice
her but that he
was none of those things, and that one day she would meet him again.
As Jax was waiting for Jerry again he glanced up and saw the raven haired
woman staring
at him. He thought to himself, "Now there is someone I would like to get
to know better,
shame I can't at the moment though." As he looks at his watch again "Damn
now where is
Jerry, he better be on this plane. It would be just like him to jump ship
on me at a time
when I need him here." As Jax waits impatiently for his brother to show up,
yet again. He
decides to take another look at the lovely woman leaning against the wall.
As he tries to
concentrate on his brother and what they will do next if this merger falls
through. He can't
help but notice her raven hair streaming down her back, light pale peaches
and cream
complexion, tall willowy figure, but most of all the twinkle in her violet
eyes. Like that of
someone who enjoys keeping someone guessing about a naughty secret that she
is not
quite ready to share. "Man, Jerry is never going to get here." he thinks
to himself. Just
then they announce a delay in his brothers flight. "Now what am I suppose
to do! Hmm,
well since I have time to kill maybe I will invite Raven, the nickname he
silently assigned
to her, for a drink to pass the time." As Jax starts to approach her, he
hears "Flight 161
leaving LA for Chicago, final boarding call." Just then he notices the beauty
picking up
her bag and walking towards him. "Good, now I don't have to approach her
she is coming
this way." She walks right bye him eyes twinkling away as she notices his
glance. "This is
a lady who knows who she is and where she is going he thinks." Just as he
is about to
introduce himself, the stewardess with the nasal repertoire announces another
arriving
flight, stopping his approach to listen. "Flight 215 Italy to LA now
arriving."
"Jerry's flight, well it is about time. Good now I can stop worrying and
still have a few
minutes of the ladies time." As he turns back around to approach her again,
the woman
with the raven hair is gone. "Damn just my luck!!" "Hmmmm....oh well anyone
that lovely
would probably be attached." Jax then decides to move towards the gate.

Chapter 2
CHAPTER II
JERRY'S ARRIVAL
Jerry's plane had finally landed. As Jax waited, now patiently, for his brother
to deplane.
His thoughts drifted back to the raven haired enchantress that he saw earlier.
"Man, my
luck just has not been the best lately." Finally, while Jax is lost in his
thoughts, Jerry
deplanes.
Jerry looks at his brother wondering what on earth Jax is doing here. "Just
great!" He
thinks to himself. "What happened now that my baby brother is here to meet
my plane?"
"Probably wants to bite my head off for deflowering the little beauty on
the plane." Just
then a petite blonde stewardess walks off the plane. As she passes Jerry
she winks.
"Yeah," Jerry thinks to himself "that was one fine flight home." Then he
winks back at her
and mouths, so no one else can hear him, "Thanks Luv." The stewardess blushes
a hot
pink and then rushes off. As Jer chuckles to himself, he walks toward his
brother to see
what's the occasion.
"Hello, Mate! And to what do I owe the honor of this visit." Jax still lost
in his thoughts
about raven, doesn't hear his brother's approach or the greeting. "Hmmmm,
Jer
thinks...must have been a damn good day dream." Waving his hand in front
of his face he
says, "Earth to Jax, Earth to Jax, come in Jax." Jax finally realizing his
brother is in front
of him, brings himself back from his musings. "Well it's bout damn time your
arse got
back." "Well hello to you to brother dear. Nice to know I was missed." "Missed
my arse, I
just wanted you home so I could lay the mess you left me at your feet." "Mess,
what mess,
I never leave a mess thank you very much, just ask the stewardess on the
plane. I'm sure
she would agree, everything virtually spotless." As Jer is grinning from
ear to ear, Jax
thinks "Great just what I want to hear, details of his (ahem) warped sex
life." Jax just
laughs, "You know big brother you will never change." "Right you are Mate,
right you
are!", says Jerry while chuckling. Jax picks up Jer's flight bag, "well let's
get out of here.
We have lots to discuss." Jerry follows his brother to the baggage claim
to collect the rest
of his luggage.
As the two brothers, so opposite in looks, walk through the terminal. You
can't help but
notice them. Both with there devil may care attitude, both with that long
sexy stride, both
with bodies that you could lose yourself in. But both so totally different
in personalities, as
night from day. Jax who was sturdy, dependable, reliable, and loved a good
joke just like
the next guy. Who was easy going, funloving and laidback. Who with everything
he
touched seemed to turn to gold. However, who even with all these fanciful
qualities, had a
dark side that to this day noone knew about. And he wanted to keep it that
way. Jerry on
the other hand was the constant joker, never took life seriously, where
everything he
touched turned to trouble. Who could be be dark brooding and didn't try to
hide it.
However just like his brother he had a side that others didn't see. Deep
inside, where he
never let anyone near, he had a very kind heart, a deep love for his family
and friends, and
there was always a part of him that hoped once just once that he could find
the kind of
love that Jax always found. Someone to care for him, to hold him, to be there
no matter
how many times he screwed up. But again this was a part of himself that stayed
deep and
buried. A part just waiting for the right woman to bring out.
Jerry wasn't a bad looking man he was quiet striking actually but in an opposite
way of his
brother. Where his brother was light, Jerry was dark. Where Jax was blue
eyed, Jerry was
green. Where Jax was muscle bound, Jerry was toned and slim. But both where
striking in
their own way. Jerry was wearing a cream color polo shirt, opened slightly
at the top,
showing off the dark hairs on his well defined chest. Black, sharply creased
trousers,
which stretched tantalizingly over his strong muscular thighs. His eyes where
the brightest
emerald green, that sparkled everytime he smiled. He was definitely a man's
man and had
none of the boyish charm that his brother exuded.
They finally made it to the baggage claim and as they waited, Jer caught
up on what had
been going on while he was gone. "Damn, you mean to tell me that if we don't
give Bill
what he wants he is gonna sell to someone else." "Yeah, that's right the
block definitely
knows what he is after." said, Jax. "I have been at my wit's end trying to
figure out
someway to out maneuver him." "Well," Jer said, "if we lose Microsoft, we
lose
Microsoft." "What do u mean if we lose Microsoft we lose it, Jer are you
nuts, or does
the stewardess still have thoses." Jer just looked at his brother and laughed.
Then
responded to the statement. "Naw but trust me mate if she did I would be
a happy man."
Jax just looked at his brother and thought, "I can't believe him." He then
said, "Well let's
get out of hear so we can discuss what to do next." "OK bro, let's blow this
popsicle
stand.
As the two brothers walked out, they did not see the man standing by the
phone booth.
He was kinda dirty looking. With greasy stringy hair, brown in color. He
had a couple
teeth missing in the front. He was the type of man that noone would really
pay attention
to. He had been watching the two men, his eyes were slits in his alcohol
ravaged face. As
the brothers walked out, he walked over to the nearest phone. He picked up
the phone
and started to dial, while dialing he glances over his shoulder. Turning
back around, he
speaks into the phone "OK, they just left. What I don't know I wasn't close
enough to
hear the conversation. Yeah, yeah I understand keep an eye on them and don't
let them see
me. Man, you worry to much they will never pay me any attention, trust me
on this. Hey, I
just told you not to worry, damn man get off my back or you can do this job
yourself." As
the man hangs up the phone, he looks at it and shacks his head thinking to
himself. "F-----
people with money always think they are the boss but never willing to get
their hands
dirty." "Well guess I better get going and do what he says." The man shuffles
out of the
airport terminal, climbing into a dark sedan that definitely needed to be
washed and drives
off in the direction that the Jax brothers had
taken.............................
