This is how my story begins.....................................................................................................
May 10, 1995
London, England
The London Masquerade Ball
The dim lights and the room decor only helped to enhance the already palpable feeling that everyone in the room belonged to another time. "Oh my God Julia, this is amazing, I mean, I feel like some young debutante of the late 1800's" Brenda Barrett whispered to her sister Julia.
"I know isn't it great, I come every year. And remember don't give out your real name, the whole point to this ball is the anonymity and the games you play to get to know who's really behind the mask" Julia told her sister "So my dearest Juliet go find your Romeo"
Brenda couldn't help but feel like Juliet as her sister pushed her into this sea of masked strangers, but she knew the truth, her Romeo wasn't here, he was in Port Charles with his wife and no matter where she looked she knew that none of the masks in front of her covered the face she wanted to see.
"Excuse me my lady, will you give me the honor of this dance?" Brenda turned around as soon as she heard the soft voice that spoke to her with a slight accent, and she couldn't believe her eyes or his eyes for that matter, and after she looked at the bluest most amazing eyes she had ever seen she was lost, she didn't care who he was but she dance with him any ways. She felt safe in those arms, almost like she belonged, she didn't want to talk, she only wanted to lose herself in his arms, even if it was only for one night, but for that night he would be her Romeo "Im Juliet" she said as she tore herself away from him and looked him straight in the eyes to ask "are you my Romeo?" He never really answered he only cradled her face with his hands and kissed her. It was the most amazing kiss no one had ever given her, his lips were taking her to a different time, she felt beautiful, wanted, more so than she had ever felt in her entire life.
When they finally broke apart they where no longer in the ballroom, they where in a small balcony facing the gardens of the mansion. He ended their kiss and looked at her as if trying to find some explanation to the way he felt.
"Even if your not really my Romeo, can't you just pretend for tonight?" Brenda pleaded to the blue eyed stranger. He laughed "Who says im not your Romeo?" he asked as he once again led her into the ballroom. They walked past all the couples surrounding the dance floor, their hands locked as a promise of their future embrace; they reached a long hall of rooms and her Romeo took a key out of one of his many pockets "Are you sure this is what you want?" he asked with such concern that Brenda's last doubts melted and she unconsciously nodded her consent, he then lifted her and carried her into one of the rooms.
It was dim lit just like the ballroom outside and when he finally reached the bed and placed her there, he kissed her again, kissed her with so much passion that Brenda thought she was going to explode. She tried to open his shirt but couldn't, it had to many buttons and laces. He laughed at her impatience and started to undress himself. When the shirt was of he tried to remove his mask but she stopped him "No, let's just have this one night. You my Romeo, I your Juliet". Brenda said as she pulled him closer and showed him that her passion matched his. Soon all their clothes where splattered all over the floor, their body's calling each other, exploring each other. Her hands where all over him she needed to know him completely, she needed to give him as much pleasure as he was giving her. She needed to thank him the only way she could. And when they finally consummated their discovery their unrestrained passion took them to high levels of ecstasies unknown to either of them.
When Brenda woke up her Romeo was still sleeping. She gathered her clothes and got dressed as quickly and silently as possible. When she finished she walked towards the bed and touched the mask that still covered her lovers face and for a moment she was tempted to know who's face was behind it. " No, it's better if I don't know who you really are" she whispered as she leaned over and kissed his lips one last time.........................................................................

When he woke up he wasn't sure where he was or how he got there; and suddenly he remembered "Juliet?" she wasn't there, all of her clothes were gone, it's not like he expected her to be there. He took of the mask that still covered his face as he got up and started to dress himself. His brother was probably going crazy looking for him, he smiled, "Let Jerry look for me once, he deserves it" he said as he looked for his shirt " Where The Heck is that shirt?!!" he screamed, his own frustrations rising now as he recalled his passionate night and his inability to repeat it "There you are, were you trying to hide from me as well?" he asked the unresponsive shirt of his custom and lifted it from the floor; when he did he noticed a handkerchief and picked it up " V. B., are those your initials, I guess your not really Juliet then?" he smiled as her scent reached him as soon as he smelled the piece of cloth, it was hers, now he was sure. "You're not Juliet and Im not Romeo, but I'll find you, who ever you are................."
