Flight of Destiny
Part Twenty Five
By Cathy
Jax waited until they got back in their room to ask what was going on.
"So?"He asked.
"So?"Ally replied knowing full well what Jax meant. She gave him a clueless
look.
"So what were you and Jerry talking about?"
"Just stuff."Ally replied coyly.
"Just stuff doesn't bring Jer to tears Ally. What's going on?"
Jax's curiosity and need to know everything was getting on her nerves. She
planned on telling him what Jerry said but now she didn't want to. She decided
to drive him insane instead.
"I thought you didn't want to hear anything about Jerry and V."
"I don't, so it was about V. then?"
"Nope"
"About Jerry and V.?"
"Nope"She said simply, trying hard to not grin as Jax got more irritated
by the second.
"So it's not about their relationship then?"
"Nope"
"So you can tell me then right?"
"Nope"
"Did Jer swear you to secrecy?"
"Nope"
Jax wanted to wring her beautiful neck. No one was more exasperating than
Ally when she was in one of her moods. She had taken annoying and irritating
him to a fine art. No one ever loved him as much as Ally did and no one could
ever drive him crazier than her.
"Then you can tell me what he said."
"Nope"Ally could almost see the steam coming out of his ears. He was definitely
irritated.
"Ally?"
"Tell me Jasper do you confide things to V.?"
"You know I do."
"Well would you appreciate it if V. told me everything you talked about?"
"No"
"There's your answer. Now stop playing 20 questions and get dressed."
"You do realize that I'd love to choke you right now."Jax said and couldn't
help letting a small grin pass on his lips.
"You do realize that I'd love to choke you right now."She replied and went
to get her dress.
"Do you want me to wear my hair up or down?"
"You mean you'll actually take my opinion into consideration?"He teased.
"Yeah it's Christmas so I'll actually listen to you."She said with a grin.
"Believe it or not I want you to wear it down. I'm in the mood to run my
fingers through it."
"Then down it shall be."
Ally slid into her dress and admired her reflection in the mirror. The dress was exquisite and she felt like a princess. The white satin gown was sleeveless with a gently scooping neckline revealing just the beginning of her cleavage. The dress hugged her upper body and fell into a flowing full skirt. She was amazed Jax picked this dress for her because it reminded her so much of the dress in her waltz fantasy. She was sure Jax bought it before the magical night at Carnegie Hall.
Ally was about to start brushing her hair when Jax walked in. She saw him
standing behind her and her breath was caught in her throat. He was so beautiful
and Ally couldn't believe he looked even more incredible than she remembered.
"Jasper you are beautiful and don't laugh at my choice of words."
"I've never been called beautiful before so thanks my enchanting snow princess."
"Thanks, so does this remind you of anything?"
"You in the Twilight Zone ballroom."He laughed.
"This is just getting too eerie. You bought this before that night right?"
"I bought it in early November, the day you went to see Chicago with V."
"Where did you hide it?"
"V.'s, I still have the key you gave me for the brownstone."
"Does V. know you have the key to her apartment?"Ally laughed.
"Sure how else do you think I get in to carry out our torrid affair."He said
with a grin.
"Right I keep forgetting about your illicit little affair."She giggled and
started to brush her hair.
"Allow me"Jax said softly and took the brush out of her hand. He began to
gently stroke her hair with the brush. Ally was in heaven, she never thought
having her hair brushed could be so sensuous. Jax watched Ally's face in
the mirror. He was pleased he was creating the desired affect. He loved to
see that look of sheer bliss on her face. She closed her eyes and got lost
in his gentle touch. Jax started whispering I love you every time he finished
a stroke. Ally turned around, held his face in her hands and looked deep
into his eyes.
"I love you blondy"She said softly and gave him a gentle kiss.
Jax ran his hands through her silky hair while his tongue probed her mouth.
He was no longer interested in dinner only Ally. He pulled the zipper down
on her gown and helped the dress fall to the floor. Ally had forgotten all
about dinner the second he kissed her. He slowly stroked her back feeling
the silky warmth of her skin. Ally undid his jacket and ran her hands over
his chest.
"Dinner or me?"He whispered in her ear.
"You, definitely you"She murmured.
Jax picked her up and put her down gently on the bed and knelt over her.
He tossed his jacket on the floor and undid his bow tie while Ally started
unbuttoning his shirt from the bottom up. Their eyes were locked, full of
the love and desire they felt for each other. She pulled him down on her
and their lips met in a blaze of passion. Ally was fumbling with his zipper.
She just managed to pull it down when Jerry barged into the room.
"Hey dinners ready and we are all waiting."He said as he opened the door
and walked in."Oh, geez, umm, ah, sorry my timing sucks"
"Yes it does."Ally giggled."Jasp I think we better get dressed again and
go downstairs before Lady Jane comes to get us. We'll be down in 5 Jer"
"One of these days I'm going to kill him"Jax growled.
"Then who would interrupt us?"Ally laughed.
"One more kiss and we'll get dressed"Jax said and gave her a kiss that made
time stand still.
They put their clothes back on and Jax put the ruby and diamond necklace
on her. "Looks like your hair needs to be brushed again."Jax said mischievously.
"I'll fix it or we'll never make it to dinner"Ally giggled.
"I've never seen a more wondrous sight sleeping beauty"
"Why thank you my prince charming but wait until you see V. I picked the
dress for her."
"Hmm what colour?"
"Wait and see. Oh, not that it's any of your business but Jerry told me that
he was happy I'm going to be a Jacks. He values my friendship and loves moi."
"Oh, you guys seem rather close."
"We are very good friends sweetie. We talk to each other all the time. There's
an entire side to your brother that you know nothing about."
"All I can say is I'm glad I met you first because Jer would never have let
me anywhere near you."He laughed.
"No worries there, I would have killed Jer by our second or third date. Our
personalities are too similar in too many big ways. You and I are yin and
yang. Jer and I are both yangs."
"True, you are the two most stubborn people on earth except you are even
more exasperating than Jer. I didn't think that was possible until I met
you. On the plus side you are also the two most loyal people on earth."
"Umm Hmm"
Ally and Jax went downstairs for dinner. Jax thought V. looked incredible in a strapless red Valentino gown, pearls and a matching wrap. He complemented her until she started blushing and begged him to be quite. Ally and V. were on either side of Jax and took turns stealing the veggies off his plate to everyone's amusement. Ally had just put his roasted onion in her mouth when Jax turned to look at her. V. took the opportunity to snatch his last carrot.
Jax looked at his plate and knew he hadn't eaten the carrot and wondered
what happened to his onion and snow peas. He shook his head and Ally and
V. started giggling.
"I knew it, the evil wenches are stealing my veggies. Hands off girls eat your own food."Jax warned.
"Or what?"Ally challenged.
"Or I'll make your lives a living hell."
"What are you going to ask my Mom to move in with us?"Ally laughed.
"No but now that you mention it I think we should invite her down for the
month."Jax said wickedly.
"Fine but you do realize that we won't be able to make love for a month
then."Ally said smartly.
"Then forget that idea. I'll get you back though my pretties."Jax laughed.
In between bites of food Jane and John discussed the Millennium Ball thrown
by the Governor in Juneau. Every year a Ball was thrown to raise money for
several charities giving the elite of Alaska a change to mingle. According
to Jerry the star attraction was always Jax whenever he made an appearance.
John told Ally that they'd have to hire a body guard for her to protect her
from all the women who would like to kill her when she arrived on Jax's arm
wearing an engagement ring.
"No need for protection Dad we won't be there"Jax said.
"What?"Everyone else said.
"Als and I are leaving the 29th to celebrate the millennium on our own"
"We are? Where?"She asked in confusion.
"Sorry I can't tell you it's a surprise."
"My passport is at home dear."
"No it's beside mine in my suitcase."Jax laughed. He knew that would keep
her guessing for days.
"V.?"Ally pleaded.
"Sorry Al, I know nothing about this but I'll help you guess."
"No ones guessing anything"Jax warned and gave them all the evil eye.
"Fine new topic then. The two of you are gong to be really busy getting ready
for a wedding in 5 months. It isn't a lot of time to pull a wedding of this
magnitude together. What hotel do you suggest in Boston Ally?"Jane said.
"There's no way I'm getting married in Beantown. My mother would find ways
to change any plans she didn't like. She'll start saying I helped you out
and hired a band. I picked the cake out for you. I drew the guest list up
and sent it to the printers to help you out. No way is she interfering with
any part of our wedding. The wedding will be in New York at my parish St.
Andrews. The cake will be butter cream from LA and my bouquet will be lilies
of the valley. The rest we'll sort out."
"Actually Al, the reception is all mine. The menu, the decor will be a surprise
for you. You can help pick the site but that's the extent of your involvement.
The honeymoon is all yours and everything else you can do solo or I'll be
thrilled to get involved."
"But"
"No buts. For once I'm saying no to you. You're not getting your way this
time and that's final"
"Jasper that's not fair. Sure leave the honeymoon up to the travel agent
but no reception!"
"Trust me Ally you'll love my idea."
"Fine, on one condition. I don't want a big wedding."
"We should be able to keep it around 225"Jax said seriously.
"250 acceptances for 290 invites is a more realistic number dear."Jane said.
Ally's eyes widened in horror and were pooping out of her head. Jax and Jane
were too busy talking numbers to notice her. Jerry watched her get more
frustrated by the second as the figure kept rising. Jerry was waiting to
see the steam come out of her head before she exploded. He shook his head
and gave her a sympathetic smile. V. noticed Ally's face and could tell she
was about to erupt. John said 330 and Ally snapped.
"Are you DEAF Jasper? I said small and I meant small. Liz's wedding was too
big for my liking at 136! This is our wedding not a business networking party.
Unless you have 100 first cousins you never mentioned who you are near and
dear to there's no reason why we can't do 130 invites for 100 acceptances.
I want to know at least 3/4 of my guests"Ally said firmly.
"Ally sweetie, the announcement of our engagement is going to hit every news
agency in the world. You forget I'm very high profile and one of the world's
most eligible bachelors. The interest in our wedding will be huge. It's sure
to be the social event of the year. People all over the globe will be expecting
invitations. We really can't do less than 225."
"Maybe "WE" can't but I certainly can. This is non negotiable Jasper, no
buts"She said loudly.
Ally dear, I understand you want small but you really don't understand the
demands."Jane said gently.
"No, you all don't understand. It's small or not at all. Pass the sweet potatoes
please."She said calmly.
Jerry grinned at Ally as he passed her the dish. Ally did understand the
demands that's why she's putting such a limit on it, he thought.
"No need to start a fight we can discuss this later."Jane said.
There's no need for a discussion, Ally thought.
"I agree with Al"V. whispered.
"So do I"Jerry whispered back.
"Shouldn't we support her?"V. asked.
"Later, not now or dinner could get ugly."Jerry knew Ally would win because
she was never going to give up until Jax agreed to her terms. He also knew
she meant or not at all, but he didn't think Jax realized how serious she
was yet.
The rest of dinner was relatively quiet as the two camps plotted their
strategies. After dinner Ally wandered into the library and sat down in the
dark. She watched the moon cast a silvery glow over the snow and took a deep
breath. She found herself wondering how she'd be able to stay with Jax if
image was so important to him. She couldn't believe he was going to try to
turn their wedding into one of those society galas that she despised. She
chocked on her carrots when he said it would be the social event of the year.
"I thought I knew who you were Jasper."She said quietly.
"You do know me Ally."
"How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough"
"Oh"
"Are you mad at me?"
"That depends on how many guests you think you are inviting. I'm deadly serious
Jasp, I want a small intimate wedding."
"It's that important to you?"
"Yes it is."
"Fine then 130 invitations it will be. But you can tell everyone that they
aren't invited and listen to them rant and rave."
"Fine by me. Actually I think if we keep this really quiet until the invitations
go out maybe fewer people will care."
"You don't mind keeping this quiet?"He asked.
"I'd prefer it Jasp. Only our attendants need to know. The lucky few will
find out in the beginning of March when they get their invitations."
"How many weeks vacation will you have?"
"Hmm 6 plus one from this year and I get 3 more weeks for a honeymoon."
"Wow 10 weeks, take four then and I'll clear all of June. Any ideas where
you want to go? I've never done the Orient Express and I know that is one
of your dreams."
"I know exactly where I want to go and four weeks is perfect."
"Care to let me in on the plan?"
"I want to go to the beach house."
"And Hawaii or Australia is only 14 hours away"
"No just the beach house"
"We could cruise the Med. on Isabella. Ally I'm a billionaire, we can go
anywhere in the world. Give it some real thought and you'll come up with
a million ideas."
"I've had several ideas but none of them come close to the beach house. We
can do some over night trips to Carmel, San Francisco and I've never been
to Vegas."
"You're joking right?"
"No I'm serious. You said it was my decision and that's what I want. Or are
you rescinding your offer?"
"No but...."
"Then it's settled. Have you asked Jer to be your best man yet?
"Just before I found you. I'm going to ask my friend Thao to be an usher. How many bridesmaids are you having?"
"3 and V."
"Then I need 2 more men. It's times like these that I wish I had close friends.
Think Craig would say yes? We get along really well."
"I think Craig will be flattered. I always figured you had tons of friends."
"I do but they are social friends or business associates. I've always been
very independent. I had Jer growing up and that was about it. Maybe I can
ask my cousin Matt"
"Whose Matt?"
"Matthew Wilton the third. My Dad's sister's only son. He's a year older
than me and the two of us use to get in all kinds of trouble as kids. When
Jerry joined us we really ran wild. He lives in Sydney with his girlfriend
of the month. He owns two luxury hotels, one in Sydney and the other in
Melbourne. I haven't talked to him since August. You loved his Christmas
card with the fish about to plug the Christmas tree lights in."
"Well he has a great sense of humour. Is he cute?"
"You'd think so and you are definitely his type. He'll probably try to steal
you off me until he realizes you have brains and changes his mind."
"Into shallow blonde bimbos is he."Ally laughed.
"The stupider and shallower the better in his books. He dated this Playboy
centerfold once who thought chocolate milk came from brown cows and Canada
was the smallest US state."
"Geez, I guess he never has conversations. I love debating and carrying on
intelligent conversations with you."
"Yes you do love to talk Ally."He teased.
"Like you don't have an opinion on everything? I swear you love the sound
of your own voice."
"Funny sweetie, but that's you not me. The only time you're quiet is when
you're sleeping or really mad at me."
"Well you talk in your sleep."
"I do not"
"Yes you do Jasper Jacks. Last night you told me you wanted to spend the
rest of your life with me. You must have been thinking about proposing."
"Really do I do it often?"
"No, just when there is something really big on your mind. Sometimes I hear
you but I'm so sleepy the words don't register. Your nightmares scare me
to death though. I'm wide awake before you are."
"Sorry, I know I really scared you last week."
"Jasp, I'm not going anywhere. How many times do I have to tell you I'll
never leave you? I know it's hard for you to trust my love but you have to
stop worrying about it. I'm not Brenda. I wouldn't treat my worst enemy the
way she treated you. What can I do to prove it to you once and for all?"She
said gently.
Jax looked down at his ring and smiled."Darling, I don't think I'll be having
anymore nightmares. Do you know how much this ring means to me? Every time
I look at it, I know you love me and you'll spend the rest of your life by
my side. It's strange, I've had it for 13 hours and from the second you put
it on my finger I've felt this incredible inner peace that I've never known
before."
"Geez, am I ever glad I bought it for you then. Promise me you'll stop worrying
about me leaving."
"I promise and I'll just play with the ring if the fears start creeping back
into my head. Have you told Becky yet?"
"No I haven't told Miss Rebecca yet. Maybe I'll call her now before she goes
to bed."
"My cell is in here somewhere use it."
"OK, you'll have to program mine for me. Is there any buche de noel left?"
"Yeah, I'll go get you a piece. Do you want tea or milk with it?"
"Milk please and thank you."
Ally found the phone on top of the stereo and called Becky. They talked about
their gifts then Ally told her the good news. Becky was thrilled and couldn't
wait for Ally to get home so she could see the ring. Becky happily agreed
to be a bridesmaid and assured Ally she wasn't upset that V. was the maid
of honour. They talked about weddings for a bit and said goodbye. Jax came
back with the cake, milk and her cell phone in it's box. He sat down and
started programming it for her.
"Becky is thrilled and said to wish you a Merry Christmas. She's mad at me
because I won't let her throw us a huge engagement party. She agreed to keep
it a secret. What took you so long?'
"Mom was in the kitchen and wanted to know if you were ok. I told her we
were going to keep the guest list to one hundred. She doesn't think we'll
be able to do it but I told her she didn't know what you were like when you've
got an idea in your head."
"Am I that bad?"She laughed.
"I've never met anyone as determined as you Miss McComb. You never give up
until you get what ever you want. You drive me insane sometimes with it but
I really admire you for your tenacity. You really would be great at corporate
raiding. I'd love to set you loose on MacClesfield Inc."
"In Britain?"
"No Halifax, they are a huge east coast shipping company. They are really
mismanaging it and running it into the ground. I want to get my hands on
it. The shipping rights, port space, contracts can all be sold off for a
fortune."
"No offense Jax but I find your job very dull. You and V. bore me to death when you talk about deals. If you ever go after something interesting like Disney or Harrods, The Plaza or Warner Brothers let me know. I might want to hear about it and I may even want to help you.
Except for the odd day when I'm convinced I have the worst job in the world,
I love my job. It's interesting, challenging and I get to do a lot of talking."
"Fine, I'll start looking for something fun to raid just for you."He laughed
and decided that's exactly what he would do.
"So where are we going to celebrate New Year's Eve?"
"I thought we'd ....nice try Ally."He laughed.
"Damn, I almost had you. You aren't going to tell me are you?"
"Nope"
"Becky wanted to know if we were going to the Ice Ball?"
"I bought us two tickets. Are Beck and Tom going this year?"
"Yup at least I'll have you and them to talk to. Nothing grates on my nerves
worse than society women. They are so phoney and self involved."
"I hate to tell you this Al but Paula is a society lady."
"She could be but she's not. She rarely goes to those functions and she is neither phoney or self involved. She volunteers at a few hospitals and works with abused kids. Sure she donates huge sums of money but she cares enough to donate a lot of her time too."
"Would you be interested in overseeing a charitable foundation if I set one
up?"
"I'd love to if it was for kids. I'd want to be more involved than just serving
as a figure head though. You know I'd get you as involved as I was."
"I figured as much. We'll work on it after our honeymoon. We've got enough
to organize with the wedding."
"Oh, one more thing about the reception then I'll forever hold my peace."
"Care to make a wager on that my love?"
"Unlike you, I only bet when I'm sure I'll win. The odds are too much in
your favour"She laughed.
"Sure don't bet when you know I have an excellent chance of winning. So what's
your first of many requests."
"I'll be good, I promise. I don't want a head table. I want to sit at a table
for six."
"You're strange Al but sure. In fact you can do all the seat assignments."
"You just can't be bothered with that headache. Nice try though, trying to
make it sound like an honour."She laughed.
"I should have known you'd see through me. You will do it though right?"
"When the time comes I'll let you bribe me into it."
"Do you want to go skating?"
"Actually, I'd rather go upstairs and pick up where we left off before Jer
interrupted us."
"I love the way you think Mrs. Jacks."He grabbed Ally and carried her upstairs
to their room."
V. went upstairs a little later to change and heard Ally and Jax. She changed
and went downstairs. She sat beside Jerry and he wrapped his arms around
her.
"Well Ally and Jax are definitely not fighting anymore."
"Where are they?"
"Sounds like they are finishing what you interrupted."
"Ah, wondered how long it would take him. You should have seen the look on
his face when I walked in."
"I can imagine it Jer. You really need to learn how to knock first. I had
a great time today, thanks for inviting me."
"I'm glad you came. I would have been miserable without you."
"That's so sweet Jerry. Where did John and Lady Jane go?"
"To bed, which means we've got this floor to ourselves. Have any ideas?"
"Hmm just one"V. murmured as she wrapped her arms around his neck and gave
him a deep kiss.
Jerry lowered her back on the couch and continued to kiss her. His kisses
were driving her wild. She was trying to undo his shirt buttons but they
weren't budging. She grabbed the bottom and pulled hard sending the buttons
flying.
"Patience darling"Jerry teased.
"Shut up and take me upstairs now"V. whispered.
Jerry scooped her up and brought her to his bed.
Flight of Destiny
Part Twenty Six
By Cathy
Ally woke up the next morning surprised to find Jax still wrapped around her. She glanced at her watch, it was 11:50. "Seems I wore you out last night."Ally whispered as she kissed his cleft.
Jax didn't move. She tried to move but Jax was holding her tightly and his
legs were hooked around hers. Oh well staring at that beautiful face is a
tough job but somebody has to do it, she said to herself. She loved watching
him sleep. His pale lashes fluttering softly, his mouth turned up in a peaceful
smile. That perfect cleft that she affectionately called an angels thumb
print. The first time she said it, he looked at her like she was nuts. When
she told him the story behind it he found he loved her even more. Ally had
told him that when God created him all the angels in heaven looked at him
and saw the most beautiful perfect baby ever created. Her guardian angel
couldn't help touching his precious face and left her thumb print in his
chin. She told Jax that she marked him for her so she'd know he was meant
to be hers. Ally put her thumb in the cleft and it fit perfectly. Jax had
taken her hand and kissed it and they shared the most incredible night of
love making. She watched his muscular chest rising gently as he breathed.
He moaned and opened his eyes slowly.
"Just what I wanted to see when I woke up. Morning luv."
"Good morning Jasp, sleep well?"
"Umm Hmm, you?"
"Umm Hmm, do we have any plans for today?"
"No but I wouldn't mind lying here for a while."
"You know I'm all for lying around. Good thing I didn't have to get up this
morning."
"Why?"
"Why? I don't know, think it could have anything to do with the fact that
you've got me pinned into bed?"She said sarcastically.
"Oh, sorry about that. You know how I love to keep you close to me."
"I'm not complaining, I'm just telling you."She said as Jax moved his legs and loosened his hold.
She stretched then wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his
chest. Jax slowly ran his hand up and down her right side.
"Al do you want kids right away?"
"Not really, but we have to take what we can since we do want children."
"Is it going to be that hard for you to conceive?"
"More like a challenge in timing. My cycle is so screwed up that I can never
tell when or if it's coming. Since it can be months in between technically
there are fewer eggs and fewer possibilities."
"And the pill doesn't help regulate you?"
"No I'm actually allergic to one of its components and it made me very sick."
"So you could have been pregnant in October when I stopped using protection?"
"I guess so. You sound surprised, didn't you notice I never took any pills
beside my thyroid in the morning?"
"No I always assumed you were on the pill."
"You know what they say about when you assume..."She teased.
"Yeah, yeah I know my lust wench."
"Looking back on it we weren't very smart. The first time we made love we
didn't use any protection."
"Well as much as I wanted to make love to you, I didn't think you'd go for
it on our first date. Talk about a pleasant surprise when you woke me up.
I reacted without thinking."
"I knew exactly what I was doing, I just didn't even think about that. You
should have heard the lecture Lizzie gave me. I tunned her out when she started
rattling off STD's."
"She was right though Al. We were stupid a lot during those first two weeks."
"I know but there's no point in worrying about it now. We were lucky. Hey
how did we get on this subject?"
"Umm.... I asked you if you wanted kids right away."
"Oh yeah, we certainly go off into tangents."
"I think we are the King and Queen of tangents."
"No wonder we forget how we get onto a particular topic. How's V getting
home?"
"Jer will have to fly her home after New Years. I've got to go to Port Charles when we get back. Do you want to come with me?"
"Of course I do. When are we going?"
"The second week in Jan. for 3 or 4 days. It's not as interesting as you
think it is though."
"I just want to meet Robin and Lucy and see the Quartermaines in action for
myself."
"They won't disappoint you. I've never been in a room with the Q's with out
a war of words breaking out. Lila and Emily are the only sane ones in the
family."
"Sounds like fun to me."She laughed.
"You are seriously warped woman."He laughed.
"Really do you think this is warped?"She asked with a wicked grin. She lightly
ran her finger along his lower lip and gave him an erotic kiss.
"Umm nothing warped about that."He replied and pulled her in for another
kiss.
There was a knock on the door and Jerry opened it and walked in.
"It's 12:30 sleepy heads. We're going to the Fraisers' with Mum and Dad.
We'll be back for dinner. See ya."Jerry said.
"Try to stay awake."Ally teased.
"Funny Alley Cat, very funny."He laughed and closed the door.
"Hmm looks like we have the house to ourselves."Jax said.
"Want to get some lunch then try out our new tub toys?
"I think we need to work up and appetite for lunch."He replied and kissed
her neck.
"Jasper you are incorrigible."She laughed.
"Umm hmm"He murmured as he led a trail of kisses down to her belly button.
"What am I going to do with you Jasper?"She giggled.
"Make love to me"He answered and gave her an impish grin.
"God you're impossible to resist."She said softly and pulled him back up
to her lips.
Jax quickly had them in the throws of passion. Ally was on fire and having
Jax was the only way she'd ever be able to quench the desire that burned
in her. They made love with reckless abandon pushing each other further until
they both collapsed in exhaustion.
"Kinda reminds me of the yacht."Ally said breathlessly.
"Sounded like you were on the yacht."He teased.
"Hey if you don't like to hear me screaming your name in ecstasy I could
think of someone else and call his name."She said sweetly.
"You horrid, evil wench!"Jax laughed and clobbered her with his pillow. She
grabbed hers and pummeled him with it. They were laughing while waging a
full scale pillow fight. Ally managed to wrestle his pillow away and had
him pinned underneath her. Jax closed his eyes waiting for her to hurl the
pillow on him. She loved the smirk on his face and had another idea. She
tossed the pillow behind her and leaned down to give him a kiss to end all
kisses. Ally finally drew her lips away and whispered into his ear "Wars
over, time to kiss and make love."
"I'm incorrigible but you are insatiable luv."He said softly.
"Umm hmm"She moaned while she planted erotic little kisses on his stomach.
Jax happily obliged his financé and spent the rest of the afternoon
making love with her. They both dozed off a little after 5pm. When they all
came back with Chinese food at 6pm , Jane sent V and Jerry up to get Ally
and Jax. Jerry opened the door and was amazed to see the room looking like
a disaster zone. The bedside lamps were knocked over and the pillows, blankets
and comforter were strewn across the room. Jerry looked up and realized that
all that was left on the bed was Ally and Jax naked wrapped in each others
arms.
"Looks like a hurricane hit."V. said from what she could see of the room
over Jerry's arm.
"Yeah hurricane Ally"Jerry laughed.
V. ducked under his arm and saw Ally and Jax on the bed. "Oh my"
"Well we can't just wake them up or Jax will kill me."Jerry said and closed
the door. He banged on it and called them to dinner.
Ally sat up and noticed the disaster that was their room.
"Wow what a mess!"She said.
"I'm surprised the house is still standing."Jax said with a grin.
"Jaaax!"Ally laughed and playfully hit him.
"I'm serious wench, hungry?"
"Famished especially considering the fact that we never made it to lunch."
"I didn't hear you complaining."He teased.
"You kept my mind off of food that's why. Unhand me so I can get dressed
Jasp."
"You're no fun Al."
"You changed your tune very quickly. I was very fun a few minutes ago, remember?"
"Oh I remember, but you want to go eat instead of staying with me so that
makes you no fun."He whined.
Ally just laughed and wiggled out of his arms. She got dressed and fixed the lamps while she waited for Jax. She couldn't remember when she ate so much Chinese food before. Jax was
as starved as her and they devoured everything in sight.
"Didn't you two eat lunch?"Jane asked.
"No."They replied together.
"They were rather busy Mum."Jerry said and gave them a knowing glance.
Jax blushed and Ally gave Jerry a silly grin.
"Oh I see. You know it is possible to wear yourselves out."Jane chuckled.
"MUM"Jax moaned.
Every one started laughing. After dinner Ally and Jax went skating and then
they all played Jeopardy. V and Jax were winning until final Jeopardy when
Ally and Jerry beat them by two dollars. In between yawns Ally lorded her
win over Jax annoying him to no ends. He finally had enough of her teasing
and carried her off to bed. She slid into bed and curled up to him.
"I win you lose again."She chimed sleepily.
"Ally go to sleep."
"You really hate to lose to me don't you?"
"Yes. I hate to lose period but losing to you all the time really drives
me insane. Do you have to be so bloody competitive?"
"Sorry but it's in my blood. I think you'd be very disappointed if you ever
beat me. I think you love the fact that I'm more competitive than you. I
make your blood boil and keep life interesting."
"Well life with you is never boring but I'd love to beat you just once."
"Then keep trying but don't get your hopes up."She laughed.
"Go to sleep brat."He teased. He played with her hair and she was asleep
in minutes. He kissed the top of her head and smiled.
"Life with you Al is a continuous series of incredible passionate adventures.
I hope I never win because loosing is so much fun."He whispered and drifted
off to sleep
Flight of Destiny
Part Twenty Seven
By Cathy
Ally woke up at 8:30 the next morning and left Jax in bed. She got dressed
and headed outside to skate. She loved the solitude and skating always made
her feel so free. So much had happened to her in the last four months that
she occasionally felt overwhelmed and needed to clear her head. She stroked
around the ice to warm up and started tracing figures in the ice until she
felt completely calm and relaxed. She heard Jax before she saw him.
"Morning darling."
"Morning gorgeous, how did you know it was me?"
"I heard your boots crunching on the snow."
"It could have been Jer or Dad though."
"Fine, I sensed it was you."
"Now you sound like Lucy again."
"I'll take that as a compliment. I can't wait to meet her."
"Lady Jane is making French Toast and banana milkshakes for us. You've got
about ten minutes."
"Umm sounds great. Today feels like a tub toy day!"
"I have a special lunch planned for us but after lunch we can hit the tub."
"I'm not even going to ask because you won't tell me."
"Eureka! She's finally caught on."He laughed.
Ally tossed a snowball at him and hit him in the middle of his forehead.
He was about to retaliate when Lady Jane opened the door and told him to
drop it or else. Ally laughed all the way up to the door. Jax grabbed her
just as she entered the dinning room.
"You will pay my pretty!"He whispered.
"I'm sooo scared"She whispered back.
Jax gave her an evil grin and she knew she'd be in trouble when he took his
revenge. After breakfast Jax disappeared and Ally went to go play video games
with Jerry. She didn't have a clue what she was doing but she was having
fun. Jerry patiently showed her what to do and after a few tries she was
beating him.
"If I didn't adore you so much, I would kill you Al"
"I can't help it. I'm a quick learner and I'm very coordinated. You're a
great teacher Jer, that's it."
"Sure beat me then try to flatter your way out of it. You're lucky I love
having my ego stroked."
"Some one as wonderful, intelligent and handsome as you has an ego?"She asked
with a smirk.
"My baby brother is right, you are an evil, evil wench. I only believe sincere
flattery."
"I tried."She laughed.
"V was blown away when you asked her to be your Maid of Honour. She was crying
when she told me. So we'll be your witnesses."
"Yup and Jax and I can be yours."
"I don't even want to think about marriage Al. Don't press your luck."
"I know Jer, I'm just teasing you. You are doing a great job with V."
"Thanks, I couldn't have done it without your help and V.'s patience and
understanding. Think Jaxy still hates the idea of us?"
"No, He's still worried about V, but he's warming to the idea. By the time
the wedding roles around he'll be supporting you."
"Whose wedding mine or yours?"
"Mine you geek."Ally laughed.
"Just checking, thought if you meant mine it would be a long time."
"Jer sometimes I wonder what you do with the brain God gave you."
"I've wondered that myself."Jax said from the door.
"I don't recall asking for your opinion baby bro."Jerry replied.
"Consider it a freebie. Ally get your coat on, lunch is waiting."
"Did I say you could whisk away my partner in crime bro?"
"She's my fiancee Jer not yours. I don't need your permission to do with
her what I will."Jax said with a grin.
"No, but you need my permission buster!"Ally laughed.
"I should have never let you two meet."Jax groaned.
"Too late now darling. See ya later partner."Ally giggled.
"See ya Alley Cat. Give Jaxy a hard time for me now."
"I always do."She laughed.
"Don't I know it."Jax chuckled and grabbed Ally.
After she put her coat on Jax made her close her eyes. He picked her up and
walked through the grounds to the treehouse. He set her down and told her
to climb up the ladder. He had transformed the treehouse into a romantic
dinning room. The table was covered in a linen table cloth with china, crystal,
flowers and silverware. The wooden chairs had been cushioned and he had thrown
blankets over the wooden benches. Soft music was playing from the stereo
system.
"Jasp this is so amazing. I love it."
"I knew you would. Now doesn't this beat playing with Jer?"
"Most definitely."She murmured and gave him a deep kiss.
Jax poured them each a flute of champagne and pulled Ally's chair out for
her.
" The lunch special today Madame is a spinach salad, grilled salmon, roasted
peppers, snow peas and Champagne Ice for dessert."
"Umm sounds divine garcon. Je voudrais s'il vous plait."
"Ah oui, Je oublie, Madame parles francais."
"Oui, oui Monsieur Jacks."Ally said in a very sexy French accent.
They ate lunch in relative silence just enjoying being together. "Jax lunch
was fabulous, thanks."She said.
"You're welcome, feel like doing some work?"He asked.
"That depends on what type of work you're suggesting."She said in a sultry
voice.
"And you think I have a one track mind?"He laughed.
Ally got up and sat in his lap wrapping her right arm around his back. "We
could work on this."She said as she traced his lips with her finger and gave
him a long slow erotic kiss.
"I was thinking of the wedding plans but I like this work much better." He
said and pulled her in for another kiss.
"Wedding planning? You've got my undivided attention."She said as she sprung
off his lap and sat back down in her chair.
"I should have just kept my mouth shut."Jax moaned.
"Too late now. We can go back to that work later I promise."
"Fine slave driver. Is there anything you wouldn't want to eat at the reception?"
"Hmm brussel sprouts, fruit cake, beans, turnips, parsnips, anything mocha
flavoured, red wine and squash come to mind."
"Hate all of those myself except for the red wine and I don't mind mocha.
What do you think about the Waldorf Astoria Ballroom?"
"Jasp it's huge for 100 people!"
"So we'll have a lot of room for a dance floor. We'll need it when I waltz
you around in a wedding dress."
"True but I still think it will be too large."
"Not when I'm finished with it."
"Since I have no idea what your secret agenda is, if you like it I'm game."
"Good now let's hope May 27 is free. Where shall we stash everyone?"
"The Plaza or Waldorf. I know the GM at the Plaza. I'll start on it when
we get back."
"OK, since you love lilies of the valley and champagne roses I think we should
fill the church and ballroom with them."
"Oh Jasp it will smell so heavenly. We have to look at invitations, pick out a china pattern and register for gifts. That we can't do until we get back."
"Actually Al what do you think of this china?"
"I really like it, it's different and very elegant looking. Why?"
"It's Royal Doulton's Tapestry. They stopped making it more than twenty years
ago. My Grandmother gave my Mum 24 place settings as a wedding gift. I've
always really liked it and when Mum saw me with the plates she asked if we'd
like to have them as our china."
"Oh Jax, I'd love to have them especially since they are being passed down
to us. I love the little grapes and pears and that pale green is really nice."
"Are you sure you don't want to pick our own?"
"Jasp I'm positive, just the fact that you want it makes me want it too.
Not to mention that I really do love the pattern."
"OK I believe you. What else can we settle?"
"Hmm, I think I'll ask Kate to be a bridesmaid but we need two readers. I'd
like to ask Grace for sure."
"Cool with me, I like Grace a lot too. I'll ask Robin if you like her."
"Jasp from everything you've told me about her, I'm sure I'll love her as
much as you do."
"OK we have our readers and bridal party. We know what cake we want. Hmm
orchestra, band or DJ?"
Ally thought about it for a minute and gave Jax a big grin.
"I know that look. The patented McComb all of the above smile."He laughed.
"Umm hmm"Ally giggled.
"See we'll need all that space for sure now."
Ally got up and sat on his lap again."I think we've done enough for now.
Time to get back to our last project."
Before Jax could answer her Ally's lips were on his. He pulled her closer
and deepened the kiss. Their kisses quickly went into overdrive until Jax
could no longer contain his passion. He picked Ally up but didn't know where
to lay her down.
"You clear the table, I'll get the blankets."She moaned between sizzling
kisses.
She waited while Jax cleared the table and spread out the blankets. Jax lowered
her to the table and undid her jacket. Ally went to wrap her arms around
his neck and felt a searing pain in her shoulder. She cried out in pain and
started moaning.
"Ally what's wrong?"
"My left shoulder is killing me. It owwwwww hurts to move my arm."
"Where?"
"Here"She reached back with her other hand to touch the muscle just under
her shoulder blade. Jax touched it and she screamed in pain.
" Sorry sweetie, but it feels like you've got a rock in there. You must have
pulled the muscle and it's seized to protect itself from further damage.
We need to get ice on it right away to get the swelling down."
"You broke me Jasp."She whined.
"What?"Jax couldn't help laughing at her comment.
"Thanks, I'm in pain and you think it's funny."
"No I think telling me I broke you is funny."
"Just help me get my coat on."
Ally couldn't get her arm in her sleeve so Jax had her tuck her arm in and
closed the jacket around it. He helped her down the ladder and got her back
into the house. He had her sit down on a stool and held an ice pack on her
shoulder. After 20 minutes Ally couldn't feel her shoulder anymore. Jax asked
Jerry to keep the ice on her and went to clean up the treehouse. V tagged
along to help him.
"Thanks for helping sweetie."
"Anytime Jax. How did Al hurt her shoulder?"
"I don't know exactly. I think she must have pulled a muscle when she went
to wrap her arm around me. Her right arm made it then I heard a scream."
"Geez, I hope she's better fast or you're New Year's surprise will be ruined."
"Thanks for not telling her where we are going. You were very convincing
at Christmas dinner."
"You've taught me a lot Jax. One of those lessons was how to tell a convincing
lie. Besides it was for a good cause."
"Did you ever think when you started tailing me we'd end up here?"
"No, I never even dreamed I'd be at your parents house in your old treehouse."
"That's not what I meant wench!"
V giggled then held his hand. "No Jax, I never thought case 102 would bring
me the best friend I ever had. And I don't mean Ally, Mr Jacks Sir."
Jax grinned and rolled his eyes. He ran his thumb along her cheek. "You were
the only bright spot of that entire horrible summer. You're my best friend
too doll. I've always wondered why you didn't let me kiss you again?"
"It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made but I knew you were still
hung up on Brenda and I knew you needed a friend more than a lover. When
you care about someone as much as I care about you, you do what's best for
them. Not just what every fiber of your love sick being is telling you."
"You're always right, annoying but right. I needed your friendship more than
I ever needed anything in my life. No regrets though?"
"Now no, then you better believe it. My entire body wanted to kill my brain.
You?"
"Actually yes. I've often wondered what might have been. If we would have
been good together. I think we owe each other that second kiss."
"Jax you're kidding right?"She asked in amazement.
"No Venus I'm not."He replied as he held her face in his hands and gave her
a long tender kiss.
V responded to his kiss and when they finally pulled away they were both
breathless.
"Wow, I never would have wanted to leave that island."
"Brenda who?"Jax asked.
V started laughing and Jax joined her. "We better get back before Jerry thinks
we ran off together."
"Jax we can't tell Jer about this."
"I agree but I'll probably tell Al when she's in a better mood."
"Fine, she'll stay quiet. Any regrets now?"
"Nope"
"Me either, let's get going."
"Yes former Deputy Ardanowski."
"Ha ha Jasper"
"V?"
"What?"
"I love you."
"I love you too, now move it."
