Part Twenty One

Ally had to slip out to pick up one of Jax's gifts. She was glad the store opened at 8am. She was back at the penthouse a half an hour later and had just put the box in her suitcase when Jax and V. came back.

"Ready to go sweetie? The clocks ticking"He said.

"Just give me ten minutes and I'm all yours"

She checked her list to make sure everything was packed and realized V.'s gift was still in the closet. She shoved it in a bag, put her coat on and told Jax she was ready.

"Ally we are going for 12 days not 12 months. Thank God we have the plane to ourselves."He laughed.

"Hey, one suitcase is yours and more than half these gifts you bought, so don't tell me about travelling lightly."She replied.

"Wait you're only bringing one suitcase and that small one? Jax,Al is packed lightly. I'm bringing two big suitcases."V. added.

Jax muttered something about women and grabbed the 3 suitcases and a shopping bag. Ally and V. just managed to carry all the bags and they were on the way to the jet. Ally and Jax planted themselves on the couch and V. sat down in the armchair.

"Good thing I'm not a nervous wreck this time. You wouldn't be able to relax me."She whispered.

"I'd just lock V. in with Brad"He whispered back.

"You are a horrid man Jasper"Ally laughed.

"I know"He replied and kissed her.

After an hour V. and Jax started talking about a deal and they were boring Ally to tears. She got up, grabbed a pillow and waited for a lull in the conversation.

"Since you two are in the raider zone I'm going to the nap zone. Keep your voices down or you will bore me in my sleep"

"Sorry Al, I didn't know millions of dollars bored you. Have a nice nap"He teased.

Ally glared at him, put the pillow in his lap and made herself comfortable. Jax caressed her hair until she fell asleep. She woke up a couple of hours later and her head was on the couch. She looked around for Jax but couldn't see him. V. was reading a magazine.

"So did you get mad at Jax and push him out of the plane?"

"No, although the thought did cross my mind. He wouldn't stop calling me Venus and I finally silenced him. He's bugging Brad"V. answered.

"Don't tell me, it was Casper that finally worked right?"

"Yeah, how did you know? You should have seen the look on his face"

"I guessed it one day. I haven't used it yet. I was saving it for when he was really annoying me."

"Well it worked. He stopped talking immediately."

"Reading Cosmo I see, what's the quiz about? Gift giving?"

"No, its called Is He a Santa or a Scrooge in Bed"V. laughed. "Shall we take it?"

"Sure why not, I could use a laugh. Sit beside me so we can both read it"

They started the quiz. Ally forgot how personal the questions could be. She found herself blushing as she circled her answers. V. didn't make any comments until Ally got stuck on question 6. It asked how many times you made love in an average week.

"Ally it only asks for a number not a theorem. What's the average?"

"That's just it, Jax and I don't exactly have an average. The number changes weekly. That's why I'm stuck"

"Fine, how many times in the last two weeks divided by two"

"Hmm, works out to be 10 or 11"Ally said seriously.

"You've got to be kidding Als"

"No I'm not"

"Holy cow, do you guys ever sleep then?"V. asked in amazement.

"Of course, you know how much I like to sleep"Ally giggled.

"How in the world do you manage it then?"

"Sat and Sun and the rest of the week. We rarely make love just once. We both have to be really tired to leave it at once."

"Now I know why Jax is always smiling"

"Umm Hmm, that's what Jer said too"

They went back to the quiz and couldn't stop laughing at one of the answers to number 14. Their laughter brought Jax out of the cockpit.

"What's so funny wenches"He asked.

V. closed the magazine and tried to stop laughing."Wouldn't you like to know"She giggled.

"Just a funny article dear"Ally answered.

"Really I could use a good laugh. Let me read it"

"Sorry Jax it's for female eyes only"V. retorted.

He looked at Ally and gave her his sad puppy dog face.

"Sorry sweetie it's not my magazine"

Jax called them a few choice names and went back to the cockpit. They finished the quiz and tallied their scores. Jax rating was higher than a Santa, he was a saint and Jerry was a Santa in training.

"I think I should tell Jerry that his baby brother outscored him big time."V. joked.

"V. don't even joke with Jerry about it. Trust me. You would really hurt him and ruin both of your Holidays."Ally said.

The look on Ally's face told V. she wasn't being over dramatic.

"Some free advice V. Be very careful what you say about your relationship to Jerry. Never compare him to Jax unless it's flattering and never joke about your love for him. He's paranoid enough as is."

"Geez, you really care about Jer, don't you?"V. asked.

"Yes I do. I love and adore him. I feel very responsible for his heart. I'd kill anyone who would hurt him. I love ya V. but our friendship would be over in a second if you ever hurt him on purpose"

"And Jax would kill Jer if he ever hurt me. The two of you are incredibly overprotective. You're worse than parents"V. said sweetly.

"Yeah we both have a penchant for looking after those we love. I'm scared to even think what Jax would do to anyone who hurt me badly."

"Death would be less painful. I've helped him ruin two people. I felt awful but he wasn't satisfied with just financially ruining them. He had to ruin their personal lives as well. He broke up a marriage, turned son against his father and broke up an engagement."

"I never want to see that side of him. Just knowing about it upsets me enough"

She decided to go check on her deadly corporate viper. He was flying the plane while Brad ate lunch. She started massaging his shoulders and kissed his neck.

"So you're finished your secret reading"

"Yes it was just a silly quiz and you scored through the roof."

"Really what was it about?"

Ally whispered"Is he a Santa or Scrooge in bed"

"Well I aim to please"He replied sexily.

"Really? Then let me fly for a while"

"Sorry, it's not up to me"He said sweetly.

"Brad, pleeeease! I promise I won't roll or dive"Ally pleaded.

"Sure Ally, In fact I'll go keep V. company and Jax can be your co-pilot"

Ally let out a wicked little laugh and took Brad's place. She put on the headset and slowly increased their altitude. She looked at the guidance system and knew she'd have to break right soon. Jax watched her make the turn. She had a natural ability to fly that he envied. Her turn was so smooth that he wouldn't have felt it if he hadn't known she was doing it.

"You are better than me Al. I hope you plan on getting your pilots license"

"Thanks, I had a great teacher. I do want to get it."

"Mom said the lake is frozen solid. Will I ever be able to get you off the ice?"He laughed.

"Depends, are you into making snowmen and angels? How about snowball fights and fort making? Of course, there are a few indoor activities that I enjoy more than skating."She said provocatively.

"Yes I seem to remember something about bathtubs and tub toys"He laughed.

"Jasp I forgot the duckies on the tree. We can't have tub time without them"She whined.

"I remembered Hughie, Duey and Louie"

"You're the best sweetie, another crisis adverted."

"Only you would think forgetting them was a crisis. How old are you again, 5?"He teased.

"You're 5, I'm 6 remember"She laughed.

"Right, that's why you wanted Barbie's dream house for Christmas"

"Funny Jasper, very funny"She laughed.

Ally was very curious to know what Jax bought her. The only thing she remembered asking for was the Strauss tickets and Jax bought Carnegie Hall out for her. I should ask for an audience with the Pope for my birthday she thought. She was sure Jax would be able to pull it off but it would be a lot of work. I'm getting greedy she thought and started thinking about what she bought Jax. She decided to buy him tons of smaller gifts instead of one large one. She wanted to watch him open present after present for a change. She hadn't planned on buying the gift she picked up that morning but after her Strauss gift she knew there was one special gift she could give him. Ally suddenly remembered she was flying a plane and better pay attention to what she was doing. They talked about past Christmases and their favourite gifts.

"I hope Liz likes the gift I sent her"Jax said.

"You sent her something? That's so sweet. So what was it?"

"I sent her and Craig our invitations to this year's Gibson Gala"

"Jax, Liz will love you forever and Craig will hate you. I'll go in his place"

"Sorry, you'll be with me that night. After I cleared it with Mel, he sent us two more invitations.

He actually remembered you and Liz. You made quite the impression on him. He asked me if you've ever acted"

"Really? What did you say?"

"I believe I said only when you wanted something. I did mention your Oscar for getting your own way though."He teased.

"Very funny, right now I want a drink blondy. Go get me one"

"Right away your Serene Highness"He said sarcastically. Jax left her in control and went into the cabin to get her drink.

"Ally's piloting skills scaring you boss"V. teased.

"No, she's very good. The flying wench was thirsty and ordered me to get her a drink."

"Jax my drink"Ally said over the intercom.

"And you think I'm impatient V."He laughed.

"Better get her a drink Jax before she decides to come get it herself."Brad joked.

Jax grabbed a drink and went back to the cockpit."Mind if I fly my jet for a while?"

"Oh, all right but only because it is yours"

Ally watched him for awhile. She never got tired of appreciating him. He had worn her favourite faded jeans with a rip in the knees and his cream fishermen's sweater. She had planned on wearing the sweater herself but he beat her to it. She was admiring his profile when he turned to look at her. He gave her a small smile and looked straight ahead again.

"God you're gorgeous"She said.

"Thanks Al. I think you're gorgeous too."

"I'm hungry, do you want a sandwich?"

"Sure"

Ally headed into the cabin. V. and Brad were playing hangman and didn't want anything. She picked two sandwiches and grabbed an apple. "We should be landing in an hour folks"

"No offense Ally but please let Jax land. This jet isn't as easy to land as the one you are use to flying"Brad said.

"You are mean Brad"Ally whined.

"I know, Jax doesn't pay me for my personality though."He joked.

Ally went back to the cockpit and sat down. She handed Jax a sandwich and devoured hers and the apple. She slept through lunch and was hungry.

"Brad said I could land."

Jax gave her an incredulous look and shook his head."I can tell when you are lying sweetie and you are lying now"

"But how will I ever learn to land this baby if no one will ever let me"She whined and gave him her sad puppy dog face.

"Als, we have passengers to think about. It's not just you and I"

"I know, that will make me be even more careful. I don't feel like killing anyone"

Jax looked at the adorable little pout on her lips and knew he was about to give in to her again.

"Tell you what, I'll let you land on two conditions. One you listen to everything I say and follow it to the letter. Two if I tell you I'm taking over, no questions you just let me immediately."

"Deal! I get to land. I get to land."Ally sang.

Ally stuck to her promise. She followed Jax's instructions to the letter. She realized it was more difficult and complicated to land this jet than she even thought. She quickly adjusted and set the plane down gently. She taxied into the terminal and stopped the jet. She felt a surge of adrenalin throughout her entire body.

"That was awesome Jax. What a rush"

"Very good sweetie, I couldn't have done it better myself."

Brad came into the cockpit. "That's how it's done Ally"

"I know, I was the one who just did it"She replied and grinned.

Brads jaw dropped and Jax started laughing"She's a fast learner Brad"

"She's all yours Brad"Ally said as she flipped her hair and left the cockpit.

"Damn she's good"Brad said.

"Very, annoying isn't it? She's been flying for 3 months and she's as good as you. Actually her landing was smoother than yours"Jax replied.

"And a lot smoother than yours boss. Here I was about to congratulate you on a perfect landing and it was the rank amateur's work."

"I know, we can't let this get out or we'll never live down the teasing. Merry Christmas Brad. Have a safe flight to LA tomorrow."

"Thanks Jax you too"

Alfred and Jerry were waiting for them on the tarmac. They loaded the limo and Jerry's Range Rover with the luggage and gifts. V. went with Jerry and Alfred took Jax and Ally up to the cabin.

"There certainly is a lot more snow this time."Ally remarked.

"Well it is 2 days before Christmas Al"

"I just know this is going to be the best Christmas ever"

"Yeah, it will be a Christmas we'll never forget"Jax said and kissed her tenderly.

They beat Jerry and V. to the cabin. Jax opened the door and Fuzzy came running down the hall and skidded to a stop at Ally's feet. She bent down and Fuzzy gave her his paw. Ally shook it and he licked her face. She laughed and rubbed his head before he rolled over to have his belly scratched. Ally happily obliged Fuzzy.

"I use to be Fuz's favourite."Jax whined.

"Ah, does poor Jasper feel left out?"Ally straightened up and started scratching Jax's stomach instead. He started laughing, picked her up and leaned her against the wall. She wrapped her legs around his waist in anticipation of what she knew would come next. Jax gave her a long deep soul kiss.

"Can't the two of you ever just walk in the front door like normal people"John teased.

"Sorry Dad I just can't resist Ally."Jax said and kissed her again before letting her slid down.

Ally gave John a big hug. " Hi Dad, I'm back"

"Glad to have you dear even though my tree is bare"

"We will fix that tonight"Ally replied.

John and Jax went outside to help Alfred and Ally found Lady Jane in the Family room.

"Ally darling, welcome home"Lady Jane said and gave her a hug and kiss.

"Glad to be back home Lady Jane"

"You intend to do something about that tree I hear"Jane pointed to the large Scotch Pine sitting near the window with just white lights on it.

"Great the lights are on. That will save us a lot of time."

"Us?"

"Yes, didn't John tell you. I want all of us to decorate it as a family"

Jax walked in and heard the tail end of the conversation."Trust me Mom, it's easier to just nod and go along with her little tree fantasy"

Ally glared at him and hit him. "You said you loved our tree Jasper"

"I do sweetie but I don't think the rest of my family is eager to do the work themselves"

"Well they're going to do it anyway and they will enjoy it if I have to threaten them with death"Ally said stubbornly. She walked out of the room in a huff and headed upstairs to unpack.

Jax gave his Mom a big kiss."She's very anal when it comes to Christmas trees. She treated me like I was a mass murder when I told her I never decorated my own tree. It was strange Mom, she totally flipped out and then called Dad to make sure this one wasn't touched. I really thought she'd have a breakdown if Dad said the tree was already done."

"It is a rather strange obsession but since it's legal we will humour her dear."

"Thanks Mom. If you could pretend to enjoy yourself, it would make her very happy. I have to admit she won me over. I couldn't help but have fun"

"I'll try to have fun dear. So where is V?"

"With Jer."

"How do you feel about him dating V.?"

"I still don't like it one bit. I'm sure he's going to break her heart and I'm the one who will watch her suffer. I've been through it twice Mom and I don't want to see her go through it. You know how much V. means to me. What can I do though? As Ally keeps pointing out, they are consenting adults. She doesn't think he'll hurt V. She doesn't understand that I know Jer better than she does. We argue about it so neither of us brings them up"

"I don't know about that son. I think Ally knows Jerry and understands him better than you. She's become his confidant and he talks to her almost every day. I bet he knows her work number better than you"

"Hmm, she's never mentioned that to me. Thanks for the info Mom, looks like I have some investigating to do."

He heard Fuzzy barking and knew Jerry must have walked in the door. Jerry had always been Fuzzy's least favourite person. Ally heard Fuzzy and went downstairs.

"How's my favourite Alley Cat? Didn't have a chance to greet you at the airport"Jerry said and gave her a big kiss and hug. Jerry held onto her and whispered something into her ear. Ally started giggling and hit him playfully.

"That wasn't what I meant Jer"She said.

"Well what did you mean then? Remember this is all Greek to me"Jerry laughed.

"I'm not doing all the work Jer. Think about what we were talking about and put the pieces together"

"Yes Miss McComb"He said sarcastically.

"Nice hallway Jax. Is the rest of the house this nice?"V. teased.

Jax had been busy studying Ally and Jerry trying to figure out just how close they were."Huh? Yeah let me show you it and we'll go find my parents."

"Jer you are looking forward to decorating the tree aren't you?"

"Sure Ally"Jerry lied. Both Jax and V. had warned him that he had to pretend it was a great idea. He figured he owed Ally a lot so he was going to be very enthusiastic.

"Good at least you're on my side."

"So are V. and Jaxy"

"Jax keeps telling everyone I'm insane though. I really want to deck him."

"I'll hold him you punch him"Jerry joked.

"One more crack out of him and you're on."

"Jerry, Ally a light lunch is ready come sit down."Jane called out.

Jerry put his arm around her and escorted her into the dinning room. Ally took her place beside Jax and Jerry sat in his usual seat leaving V. between Jax and his Dad. After lunch Jerry volunteered to go get the ornaments and took Jax with him. He warned Jax that Ally was ready to bash him one. Jax asked if Jerry knew Ally's work number and he rattled it off without hesitation. He asked him when he talked to Ally last and Jerry replied yesterday. Jax asked him how things were going with V. and Jerry said fine. Jerry thanked Jax for not saying anything about him dating V. Jax warned him he wouldn't stay quiet if he hurt her. Jerry said he'd have to get in line behind Ally.

They brought the boxes down and Ally started unwrapping everything. Jax sat down beside her on the floor to help. She had him laughing within a minute. V. and Jerry had come back from unpacking and joined them. Soon they were all laughing and teasing each other. Jane and John came in to see what they were up to. V. had just wrapped silver beads around Jerry's neck and Jax was putting the star on the tree.

"Like my necklace Mom?"Jerry asked.

"It looks lovely on you dear and it brings out the colour of your eyes"She laughed.

"Perfect timing, everything is unpacked. Grab an ornament and start trimming the tree"Ally said.

Jerry got up and put on a Christmas CD. He picked up a red bow and wrapped it over Ally's ponytail. She leaned back and kissed his chin telling him he was silly. Jax and V. just exchanged a look as they both wondered when they got so close.

John picked up a wooden soldier and told them that his father had made it for him when he was 8. Lady Jane picked up a glass candy cane and told the girls that she caught a young Jax and Jerry trying to lick it one morning. They girls were killing themselves laughing.

"Hey I was 6 and it looked real enough to me"Jerry protested.

"I was 3 , what did I know? I trusted my big brother. I've learnt not to do that any more"Jax laughed.

Jerry stuck his tongue out at Jax and made a face. Jax responded with a stupid face of his own.

"I see they haven't mentally passed that age yet."V. joked.

Jerry put V. in a head lock and Jax started tickling her until she apologized. Ally told them they were both toddlers and gave them a look that said tickle me and die. They stuck their tongues out at her instead.

"Hey, how come I get abused and Al just gets a stupid face?"V. asked.

"Because we love her more"Jerry kidded.

"It's because they are both scared of me and my fist"Ally replied.

"In your dreams Alley Cat."

"You and what army wench?"Jax teased.

Ally shot them an evil look and formed a fist. She hit her palm threateningly. They both apologized to her and went back to putting hooks on the ornaments. Jane, V. and Ally started hanging Snowflakes.

"Never thought I'd see my two sons afraid of a woman"Jane said to them.

"Well I almost broke Jer's jaw and I've given Jax more than one good bruise. Jer just hates physical pain and Jax is worried I won't sleep with him. When I get really mad at him, I don't lay a hand on him and I ignore him. An hour or so later of no contact and Jax is begging for forgiveness"

"I think it's wonderful dear. A woman should know how to keep men in their places. How about you V.? Have you figured out how to keep Jerry in line?"

"Hitting does work well. I know how to stop his teasing and I've figured out how to get him really mad but I'm still working on instilling fear. Think I'll just threaten him with Ally. I know how to terrify him but then I'd have to worry about Ally coming after me"

"Good answer V."Ally laughed.

They spent the next hour decorating the tree. Everyone got into the spirit and truly had fun. Ally was happy that she converted the Jacks without having to use brute force. Jax had his arms wrapped around V. and they were singing a horrendous version of O Holy Night. Ally told them to stop before her ears started bleeding. Jax knew it was her favourite carol and wanted to hear her sing it again. He caught her singing the last verse a few days ago and was blown away by her voice.

"Sing it properly for me Ally"He asked.

"Later Jax"

"No now. Pleeeease sweetie"He begged and gave her his sad puppy dog face.

"Fine, but only because it's almost Christmas and I know you won't shut up until I agree"

Ally closed her eyes because she couldn't handle people watching her sing. She sang the carol softly and felt Jax slide his arms around her. She held the last note and opened her eyes. They were all standing there with their mouths ajar. A tear was running down Lady Janes's cheek.

"That bad eh?"Ally said wishing she hadn't agreed to sing.

"Ooh, no Ally it was that beautiful. Your voice is heavenly"Jane said.

"You moved me Alley Cat"

"Simply enchanting Ally. Were you a professional singer?"John asked.

"I agree Al. I never knew you had such an incredible voice"V. added.

"All the choirs in heaven are jealous darling."Jax said softly and kissed her.

"Thanks everyone. I've always had a problem singing in front of anyone. I have to be really comfortable and close my eyes to get through it. My Dad always asks me to sing Ave Maria to him at Christmas and his birthday and I can't even look at him when I sing."

"Well we are honoured dear and I hope you'll sing for us again"Jane said.

"Maybe"

John flipped the switch and turned the tree on. It looked wonderful and John admitted it had never looked so good before. Flight of Destiny

Part Twenty Two

They admired their work and tidied the room up. John and Jane went to play a game of Backgammon and Jerry took V. for a walk before dinner. Jax and Ally cuddled up on the couch and sat there looking at the tree and the snow falling softly outside. Jax sighed contentedly, he loved just holding her and watching the world go by in silence. He could hear her breathing softly as she rested her head on his chest. Ally closed her eyes and enjoyed the tranquility. Jax gently kissed her neck. She turned around and kissed him back.

"Are you glad we came?"He asked.

"You know I am. I love being with your family darling. I love them"

"Good thing they love you then"

"Umm hmm"Ally murmured and kissed him again.

They stayed on the couch sharing tender kisses until V. and Jerry interrupted them.

"Don't you two ever get sick of each other?"Jerry asked.

"Never"They said in unison.

"I think it's wonderful Jer"V. said.

"I'm thirsty, you want a drink V?

"No Jerry"V. sighed and sat beside Jax. He put one arm around her and gave her a squeeze.

"He took you for a walk sweetie, Jer never goes for walks."Jax said.

"Did he kiss you?"Ally asked.

"Yeah a few times"

"Then be happy V. Jerry isn't the demonstrative type in public. He thinks everyone is staring at him"Ally replied.

"I just wish he'd be more like you Jax. You've always got your arm around Al and you don't think twice about kissing her anywhere. I love seeing the two of you together it warms my heart."

"V. you have to be patient with him. This is all new to him. Tell him you'd like it if he held your hand a lot. He should be able to handle that in public to start with"Ally said.

Jax wondered when Ally became such an expert on Jerry. They really must talk to each other a lot, he thought. Jerry came back drink in hand and sat beside V. Ally reached for Jax's hand and held it. She made eye contact with Jerry and let him see they were holding hands. She nodded towards V. and gave him her well? look. Jerry put his hand on V.'s knee and started drawing little circles. When he didn't think Ally and Jax were looking he reached for V.'s hand, kissed it gently and held it. V. let out a contented little sigh and Ally and Jax smiled at each other.

"Now where were we before they so rudely interrupted us?"Ally asked.

"We'll make Jer squirm big time."Jax whispered.

"Good he could use one"Ally whispered back.

Jax happily went back to kissing Ally. She thought She'd have to tell V. It was ok to tell Jerry what she liked. Ally had never been shy about telling Jax what she wanted and that their kissing didn't always have to end with them making love. After Jax stopped laughing he promised he would make an effort to not always let his endless desire for her sweep him away. At that moment His tender kisses were more thrilling to her than his hungry ones would have been. Ally looked over at V. just in time to see Jerry give her a long passionate kiss. She's a happy camper now, Ally thought.

Lady Jane and John came back into the family room to tell them dinner was ready. This time Jerry made a point of sitting beside V. at the table. Ally thought she'd have to tell him how proud she was of him and praise him for his progress that day. Jane and V. did most of the talking during dinner. Jax quietly told Ally about the time Jerry and him snuck downstairs at 2am one Christmas morning and carefully opened the ends of the wrapping paper to see what they were getting. When the were finished they taped the ends back into place and went to bed. Ally admitted that her favourite pastime was shaking presents to see if she could figure them out.

After dinner Ally dragged Jax outside to go skating. John had installed flood lights so Ally could skate at night. Jax stood there watching her spin and glide across the ice. Her speed amazed him and the way she effortlessly launched herself into the air for triple jumps defied gravity in his mind. He'd seen her skate a few times before but she never had the ice to herself. He was sure she could still be a World and Olympic champion but he didn't dare give her any ideas. She popped off a triple lutz, triple loop in front of him and came to a stop.

"Nice lutz and loop Al"

"Jasp, I'm so proud of you. You were actually listening to me when I taught you how to identify the jumps."

"I always listen to you Al. I just choose to ignore you sometimes."

"I've noticed."She giggled and kissed him."Time for another dance lesson"

"Ally"Jax whined.

"Sorry blondy, you're learning the Golden Waltz whether you like it or not. I taught you the first third already so let's do it."

Ally wouldn't let Jax stop until they could do 2/3 of it smoothly. He found it hard to keep up with her, so she slowed down for awhile. Jax was getting tired and lost interest in skating. Every time Ally would put her arms around him he'd kiss her passionately and make her forget what she was doing. The 6th time, Ally figured out what he was up to. She kissed him and pushed him towards a snow bank. She put her arms in place and said let's go. He kissed her again and Ally pushed him into the snow bank and started laughing. Jax pretended he couldn't get up and asked for her help. Ally gave him her hands to pull him up and he pulled her down on him.

"OK Jax, I get the message. We will continue this tomorrow though. So what do you want to do now?"

"Roll around in the snow."He said wickedly and started kissing her.

If you can't beat him join him Ally thought and kissed him back. Jax had rolled on top of her and was kissing her neck. Ally quickly forgot she was lying on a snow bank getting wet. She was too consumed with desire to care as Jax's tongue was dancing in her mouth and his hands were roaming her body. Jax unzipped her jacket and Ally laughed to herself. If you think you are going to get your hands on bare skin Jax you really have your work cut out for you, she thought. Ally had on a velvet catsuit, a velvet T-shirt, Jax's jean shirt and his navy cable knit sweater under her jacket. She felt his hands under the sweater and noticed a frustrated look in his eyes.

"Ally did you have to wear so many bloody layers?"

She started laughing and couldn't stop. She had Jax laughing with her. Without Jax kissing her she started to feel the cold and her wet backside. "Umm Jax I'm wet and cold and so are you let's go inside."

"Good idea."

Jax took Ally's jacket off her and hung it up. They went into the living room and laid down in front of the fire. V. looked up and noticed her wet looking friends.

"Jax you're hair is soaked, let me get you a towel"

"Thanks V. but my butt is soaked too. I'm going to take a shower and dry off properly. Care to join me darling?"

"Not really sweetie. My hood kept my hair dry and the fire will take care of my backside. Thanks for the offer though blondy."

"Actually I meant V."Jax teased.

"Sure Jax we haven't shared a shower in weeks."She replied and stood up.

Jerry grabbed her and held her on his lap. V. started laughing.

"That's not even funny"Jerry said.

Jax looked at Ally and they both started laughing. Jerry was trying really hard not to laugh and Ally could see the grin fighting to come out. She decided to give it a hand.

"Come on Jer, I let Jax and V. have their torrid little affair. We can stay down her where it's nice and dry and have some fun ourselves."She said in a sultry voice.

Jerry started laughing and Jax stopped. "That's it you are all loony tunes. I'm going now."

"Great Jax now I have V. and my Alley Cat to play with."Jerry chuckled.

"Bye sweetie, take your time."Ally giggled.

Jax muttered something but all V. caught was wenches, get them and who will be laughing. Ally stretched out in front of the fire place and had Jerry toss her a pillow. She got hot fairly quickly and peeled the sweater, shirt and T-shirt off . Jerry looked over at her and smiled. With the dark navy catsuit on and the way her legs were curled up she resembled a cat. He pointed out his observation to V. and she agreed.

"You really look like an Alley Cat curled up by the fire Al"Jerry said.

"Just living up to my nick name"She replied.

Lady Jane brought them hot chocolate and cookies. She said good night and told Ally she was glad they decorated the tree together. Jax came downstairs 10 minutes later in his robe. Ally loved the way he looked right after taking a shower. His hair was always slightly damp and curls formed at the back of his neck. His eyes always looked so blue compared to the white robe. She also loved the way he smelled of soap and aftershave. She smiled at him and he grabbed a pillow off the couch and laid behind her. Ally handed him the mug of hot chocolate and he downed it. He balanced the plate of cookies on her hip so he could reach them easily. When he finished them he put his arms around her and she leaned against him. Jax started kissing her shoulders and neck. Ally rolled onto her back and Jax laid on top of her and kissed her passionately. Ally returned the kiss and they were quickly making out.

"I think they forgot we were still in the room"Jerry said.

"Probably but I think they have the right idea."V. said and smiled.

"That's a hint right?"Jerry asked.

"Yes"

"See I'm getting better at this love stuff."Jerry laughed.

"You are, now kiss me."V. answered.

Jerry lowered V. onto the couch and started kissing her. Lady Jane came downstairs to get a drink and found her two sons making out with their girlfriends. She wasn't surprised by Ally and Jax because they were always all over each other. Jerry on the other hand was a pleasant surprise. She still couldn't believe her eldest boy had finally found a girlfriend. They had been together for three weeks which was a long time for Jerry. Jane had always liked V. but never thought she was right for Jax. She was perfect for Jerry though. Jane got her drink and went back to bed.

"Sweetie your eyes are closing, I think we should go to bed."Ally said.

"Umm"

"Jasp you're going to have to get off of me and walk up the stairs. I can't carry you."She laughed.

"Umm Hmm"Jax murmured and rolled them on their sides so his head would be on the pillow.

"You don't want to move do you?"

"Night"He mumbled and went to sleep.

Ally turned her back to him and noticed V. and Jerry still kissing on the couch. She smiled knowing how happy V. must be.

"Jer toss me the quilt, Jax is asleep"

Jerry tossed it to her and said goodnight. He brought V. upstairs and she decided to sleep in his bed.

Ally woke up early the next morning. It was only 7am but she decided to go skating. She covered Jax back up and put another log on the fire. She put her velvet T-shirt back on and Jax's sweater and headed outside. There was no wind and it wasn't very cold. A perfect day to skate, she thought. She practiced her figures. Ally was one of the rare skaters who actually loved figures. She liked the control it took to execute a perfect tracing. After an hour or so she started practicing her footwork and jumps.

Jax woke up at 8:30 and was surprised Ally wasn't beside him. The little brat left me down here and went to sleep in the bed he thought. He went upstairs to give her a piece of his mind but she wasn't there and the bed was still made. He went downstairs to check the kitchen. On the way out he saw her through the living room window. He stood at the window watching her glide across the ice. He thought she was the most graceful skater in the world. He watched her for about half an hour until he felt his mother's hand on his shoulder.

"What are you looking at dear?"She asked.

"Ally skating"

"She's up at this hour?"Jane laughed.

"Believe it or not she was up long before me and outside."

"Miracles never cease."Jane said. She put her arm around her son and watched Ally for awhile.

"She's really very good Jax"

"Umm hmm, she was the World Junior Figure Skating Champion once."

"Really, I didn't know that. She's an incredibly talented young women."

"She excels at everything she does. It get's on my nerves sometimes. I teach her how to do something and presto she can do it better than me."

"These things are sent to try us."Jane laughed.

"Mom I can't say no to her. I try but she frowns or pouts and I always let her have her own way. Even when we argue and boy can Ally ever argue, she ends up winning."

"It's not that you can't say no to her Jax. You don't want to say no to her. Be happy she doesn't abuse her power over you. From what her Father said to me when I talked to him he spoiled her to death. Anything she ever wanted Daddy gave to her. He said he has never been able to say no to her. Now you are spoiling her to death. Luckily she isn't a spoiled brat. She seems to have this incredible power over the men who love her. Jerry, you, her father and your father would all jump through hoops if she asked you to. I wish I had that power."

"I've never thought about it but you are right. No wonder she worships her Dad, he never disappointed her. It is a good thing that she doesn't abuse that power. Al does all the household expenses for me. I don't have a clue what anything costs anymore and I don't care. It's great not having to remember to pay the bills."

"Well dear, if Ally doesn't mind doing it I'd say you've got it made. I think you should make her breakfast, she's bound to be hungry when she's finished skating"

Jax decided to make her favourite breakfast. He sliced and arranged fruit on a plate, scrambled some eggs, made cinnamon french toast and poured her some orange juice. He opened the door to call her in and discovered it was nice and loaded everything on a tray and brought it out to her.

"Breakfast is served my love"

"Jasp this is so sweet of you. What are we having?"

"Come sit down and look. What time did you get up?"

"7am, Jax all my favourites, you are the best blondy."

"I know. You're welcome wench. I can't believe you got up at 7:00. Mom couldn't believe it either."

"I only get up early to skate and if I hadn't woken up I'd still be sleeping."

"I know that. Have you ever set an alarm for earlier than 8am?"

"Yes the last time was when I went to Aruba. The flight left at 7am and I had to be at the airport for 5:30 so I had to get up at 4:15."

"I'm so grateful I wasn't on that flight with you"He teased.

"By the time I hit the plane I'd stopped being horrid. I was just really grumpy. I almost bit securities head off though."

"Oh yeah, they're the people you really want to tick off. You're lucky they let you through."

"I thought about that on the plane. For some reason I always have major attitude when I go through security, customs or immigration. You should see the looks I've gotten."

"Remind me to gag you then."

"Why? Where do you plan on taking me blondy?"

"Nowhere right now but I will be whisking you off somewhere, sometime."

"I like the sound of that, Jasper"

"Kinda thought you would"

They sat there eating breakfast and Jax had her tell him what places she would like to visit. He had tons of ideas how he could surprise her in the future. Jax thought it was typically Ally that she wanted to see certain places in a particular season.

"Mass is at 8pm so we'll have to leave right after dinner."

"I'm glad you remembered. Don't your parents go?"

"We aren't Catholic Ally. We are not very good Protestants. I think the last time they were in a church was someone's wedding."

"I keep forgetting you aren't Catholic. Do your parents know you've been going to church with me every Sunday?"

"No"

"Are you going to tell them?"

"Probably not. I don't think they really care."He lied.

"Oh well, I think it's so great that you come with me. You listen better than I do."

"Yeah that's our pattern, you do the talking and I do the listening."

"Funny, very funny Jasper. I listen to you all the time. I just choose to ignore you most of the time."She laughed.

"I've noticed, believe me I've noticed my little wench."

"Hey where are your skates? Time to learn the last part of the Golden Waltz."

"You never, ever give up do you?"

"Never blondy now go get your skates."She laughed.

Jax brought the tray back to the kitchen and grabbed his skates. Ally wouldn't let him goof around until she finished teaching him the dance and they practiced it several times. When she was satisfied with their performance she let Jax do whatever he wanted. He sped around the ice and grabbed her hand. She had no trouble keeping up with him. He hit a rut in the ice and went flying head first into a snow bank. Ally couldn't even ask if he was all right because she was killing herself laughing. When Jax extracted himself from the snow he saw Ally doubled over on the ice. He thought she was hurt and rushed over to her.

"Als are you hurt?"

Ally looked up at him. She was red as a beet and tears were streaming down her face. She took one look at the snow on his head and started laughing again and couldn't stop. Every time she calmed down she looked at him and saw him flying into the snow bank and started laughing all over.

"Thanks ever so dear. I could have been killed. Your concern is heart warming."He said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry Jasp(snort)but you just(giggle) went flying(sniff)and you looked..."Ally couldn't finish because she was laughing too hard.

"Geez, I'm glad you find my misfortunes so funny."

"You'd think it was funny if it was Jerry who took the header"

"Maybe, but it wasn't that funny!"

"Yes it is!"Ally said and started giggling.

"That's it, I give up. I'm going inside to dry off. Are you coming?"

"When I can stop laughing long enough to get up."

Ally was still laughing 15 minutes later when she went into the house. She told Lady Jane what happened and she started laughing. Ally was sitting on the couch giggling when Jax came downstairs.

"Come on Ally you've been laughing for an hour now. It wasn't that funny!"

"But it was Jax. I've never seen anything that funny. The way you went flying, arms out trying to stop and poof right into the snow bank. You looked like a cartoon character. Too bad there wasn't a video camera rolling!"

"Well If I were you I'd stop laughing or Santa will put you on the naughty list and you'll get nothing tomorrow!"

"Jasper you wouldn't do that to me"

"No I wouldn't but my good friend Santa will."He teased.

After lunch V. and Ally convinced Jerry and Jax to help them build a snowman. Then Ally insisted on a wife for Frosty so he wouldn't be lonely. V. decided they needed a child and made a baby snowman. When Ally suggested a teenager Jerry and Jax had enough. They both picked up a snowball and pelted her. V. started laughing so Ally hit her with one. V. aimed at Ally but missed and got Jax in the face. Jerry was laughing so Ally pelted one at him. A snowball war broke out with Ally and Jax against V. and Jerry. Ally and Jax had better aim and were creaming them until Ally turned on Jax for hitting her in the first place. She waited until he faced her and she threw a loose snowball right in his face.

"That's for the first one you pelted at me. Thought I forgot Blondy? Well guess again."Ally laughed wickedly.

"You evil wench, I only hit you in the arm. You will pay my sweet."

"I'm sooo scared. Can't you see me shaking in fear."Ally said sarcastically.

Jerry and V. closed in on them and were able to get several clean shots in before the reacted. They worked quickly and forced V. and Jerry to retreat to their former spot. Jerry had tripped on the way back and was lying face down in the snow. Ally was laughing so hard she didn't notice Jax behind her and he kicked her legs out from under her so she landed face first in the snow.

"Now that's funny!"Jax laughed.

"Help me up now brat"Ally laughed.

When Jax reached down to get her she pulled him down on her and kissed him to distract him. She shoved a handful of snow down his back. He sat up and Ally threw snow in his face. With lightening speed he straddled her so she couldn't get up. Ally covered her face so Jax shoved snow up her jacket. Ally screamed and he knew he got bare skin. Ally hit him and he grabbed both of her arms and pinned them over her head. He smiled seductively and lowered his face to hers. He teased her by holding his lips barely above hers and finally gave her a long deep french kiss.

"I think we should kiss instead of fight"She said breathlessly.

"Good idea"Jax laughed and went back to kissing her.

Jerry was going to ambush them but V. stopped him. "Don't you dare interrupt them"She warned.

"But they won't know what hit them. Please!"He pleaded.

"No, drop the snowballs sweetie"

"You are no fun V. Come on don't you want to nail Jax for working you too hard."

"Jerry I've told you a million times I love working for Jax. He's a great boss and I have no reason to nail him"

Part Twenty Three

After the snow fight they all headed inside to dry off. Lady Jane saw Jerry, Jax and Ally and ordered them to change into dry clothes. She told them V. was the only grown up among them. V. made a face at them and went into the living room with Lady Jane. They headed upstairs.

"I think V. should pay for being a grown up"Jerry laughed.

"She must pay"Jax agreed.

"She forgot the no adults allowed rule. How should we remind her?"Ally said.

"Let's all think revenge and we'll toss some ideas around later"Jerry said.

Ally and Jax decided to change for church so they didn't have to change again later. Jax put on his navy Hugo Boss suit, with a white shirt and a navy and teal blue tie. Ally loved the way he looked in that suit so he wore it often. She was wearing a long deep green velvet dress that clung to her body with a rounded neckline.

"You look fabulous and very festive dear."Jax said.

"Thanks and you look gorgeous yourself"

"Thanks, why do you like this suit so much?"

"It looks great on you and the colour brings out your eyes. They look even more incredible than usual."

"Are my eyes your favourite feature?"

"Yup, then your cleft and your smile. How about you?"

"Your smile then your hair."

"Wow I've completely converted you Jasper."

"Yes you have my blonde Goddess. I can't believe you still haven't taken those diamond earrings out."He laughed.

"I told you I'd never take them out"

"So I never have to buy you earrings again then?"He joked.

"Oh no, I plan on wearing the rubies tomorrow. You keep buying them and I'll wear them."

"I think you could use some emeralds for that dress don't you?"He teased.

"Brazilian Emeralds would be nice"

Leave it to Ally to know what the world's most expensive emeralds were, he thought. He was glad he had spent a small fortune on the real thing. He reached into his suitcase and pulled out a velvet box. "Merry Christmas Eve darling"

Ally accepted the box and gasped when she opened it. Jax had bought her a gold filigree necklace with a large tear drop emerald.

"Jasp it's breathtaking, I love it and I love you so much. Would you put it on for me?"

"Sure sweetie, yes that is a seven karat Brazilian Emerald. Only the best for you my love."

"Oh Jasp"Ally sighed and kissed him passionately.

"I love the way you thank me"Jax laughed.

"I got you a Christmas Eve present too but you can't have it until later tonight."Ally teased.

"Give me a hint then. Is it bigger than a bread box?"

"Yes"

"Will I like it?"

"I guarantee you will love it. That's all I'm saying"

"Fine, I'll wait until later."He sighed.

"Let's go show off my gift"

Her necklace was a big hit with Lady Jane and V. Jerry teased them about being so dressed up for dinner. Jax just said they were going out after dinner. He didn't feel like listening to Jerry's cracks about religion and church. He also wasn't sure how his mother would react if she knew he had been going to church with Ally every week. He didn't think she'd be too thrilled to learn he was going to a Catholic Church. She'd wonder why if he wanted to go to mass he wasn't going to his own church. Ally was wondering why Jax didn't want anyone to know he was going to mass with her. She hadn't even thought of asking him to go with her. The first Sunday after she moved in he asked her where she was going and told her he'd go with her. He sat beside her holding her hand and paid more attention than she did. Ally was always whispering to him and he was always telling her church wasn't the place to discuss plans for the rest of the day. She wondered if he was thinking of converting.

Rosa called them to dinner and both Ally and Jax were surprised no one pressed for details on where they were going. Jax took her to a beautiful old Cathedral in Anchorage with spectacular stained glass windows. The eight o'clock mass was for families and the grade three class from the Catholic school next door reenacted the Christmas Story. Ally loved the little boy playing Joseph. He told Mary they should have booked a room with their travel agent. The entire congregation laughed. Jax loved listening to Ally sing Christmas Carols. After mass he took her to a cafe for some hot chocolate. He handed her an envelope.

"Jax now what are you giving me?"She laughed.

"Just open it"

Ally opened the envelope and found a legal contract. She scanned it quickly and realized it was the transfer of ownership for the beach house.

"Jasp, you didn't have to have a contract drawn up. We know it's mine and that's all that matters. Well really it's ours and that's all I care about."

"I know I didn't have to but I want you to legally own it. So sign on the dotted line" Jax gave her a pen. Ally almost signed as Allison Jacks instead of McComb. She turned the J into a funny looking M and hoped Jax didn't notice. He did and thought it was so cute.

"Al when we get home we should put all out gifts under the tree. The Jacks family tradition is to open one gift each before bed."

"Same as the McComb tradition. Don't let me forget to call my Dad tomorrow."

"I won't. You're Dad sent me a gift for you."

"Really? My Dad's the best."

"Yes, I wonder who you love more your Dad or Me?"He teased.

"Sorry Jax I love you almost equally. The edge goes to my Dad."

"I figured as much."

"Daddy is always first."Ally laughed.

They drove home and found V. putting gifts under the tree. When they finished putting their gifts under the tree there was no more room. Ally was sure most of Jax's gifts were for her and she was glad she bought him multiple gifts. Jerry had to pile his gifts next to the tree. At eleven Lady Jane and John said it was time to open a gift and go to bed. Lady Jane was intrigued by the two large hat boxes under the tree. When she found out they were for her she had to open one. Ally told her to open the one on top. She had filled the hat box with handmade paper poinsettias to protect the large floral wreath she had made.

"Ally this is the most beautiful packaging I've ever seen. The flowers must have taken forever. The wreath is gorgeous, where did you find it?"

"I made it."

"She made it all right. I'm sure there are still strings of glue on the dinning room table and those little white things were stuck on my suits for the 2 weeks it took her to finish it."Jax laughed.

"I love it Ally and I'm touched that you spent so much time creating it for me. Thank you my darling."Jane said and gave her a big hug and a kiss.

"I'm glad you like it Mom."Ally said sweetly.

John laughed when he opened his gift from Jax. He had finally replaced the two bottles of wine he drank when Jerry locked him in the cellar. He also bought John 4 more rare vintages that he wanted. V. opened the amethyst and diamond bracelet Jax had bought her.

"Jax it's gorgeous, I love it but you already gave me a huge bonus."

"V. that was your gift for being my assistant. This is my gift to my beautiful dear friend. I love you Venus."

"Oh Jax , I love you too"V. sighed and kissed him.

Jerry reached for one of his gifts from Ally.

"Umm Jer you might want to open another one."Ally warned.

Jerry was curious and decided that he had to open that one. He opened the box, turned red and tried desperately not to smile. Ally grinned and he started laughing.

"Very funny Alley Cat. You are such an evil evil brat"

"I told you to pick another gift."Ally laughed. She had given him a copy of Monopoly for Dummies. Jax was killing himself laughing. She wondered if he would think it was so funny when he opened his copy tomorrow.

Jax opened a gift from Jerry. It was an all expenses paid diving trip in Hawaii for two."This may be the best gift you ever gave me Jer. Thanks, I might even take you with me."

"You're welcome little brother and I hope you do bring me. You know Alley Cats hate to get wet."Jerry laughed.

"Not this one Jer"Ally replied.

"Well that leaves you Ally pick a gift."John said.

Ally picked up a sparkling box that was covered with shiny silver snowflakes. The box top slid off and revealed a beautiful antique hand painted glass ornament.

"Oh Jer it's gorgeous, I love it thank you so much sweetie"Ally said and gave him a hug and sweet kiss.

"I found it in Paris and knew you'd love it. It's circa 1820."

"It's perfect, I'm going to put it on the tree now. Don't let me forget it Jasp"

"I won't. Hey you still owe me a Christmas Eve gift."

"You'll get it. It's upstairs blondy so relax."She laughed.

"All right children time to go to bed or Santa won't show up."John said.

They all headed upstairs and Ally grabbed Jax's robe and hid his gift under it. She headed to the bathroom and Jax stopped her.

"Since when don't you change in front of me? You know I love to watch you."

"I have to go to the bathroom do you mind?"She lied and left the room.

Ally brushed her hair and changed into Jax's gift. She knew he would love this gift because it was her. She put a red bow around her wrist and put his robe on. Jax was already waiting for her in bed.

"I want my present and I want it now!"He whined.

"You are so impatient Jasper, but since it is Christmas eve I won't make you wait any longer. Merry Christmas Eve darling"Ally said and dropped his robe.

Jax's eyes almost popped out of his head before they turned teal. His entire face lite up and he grinned at her "Ally, that is the best gift I've ever been given. I love it and that bow is so cute. Get over here so I can have a better look."

Ally happily obliged and stood beside the bed and then turned slowly for him. She had a forest green lace teddy on that left little to Jax's imagination.

"Well should I just stand here forever or are you going to unwrap your gift?"She asked sexily.

"Hmm, I think I want to play with my gift before unwrapping it."He said devilishly.

He moved over and pulled her down on the bed. He gave her a long sweet kiss and planted little kisses all over her shoulders and collar bone. Ally was running her fingers through his golden hair and it was making him sleepy. He continued kissing her gently trying desperately not to yawn. He ended up yawning ten minutes later in the middle of a kiss causing Ally to giggle.

"Merry Christmas sweetie, go to sleep you can unwrap me in the morning"

"Merry Christmas my love, sorry I really do love your gift but I can't stay awake."

Ally let him get comfortable in her arms and went back to caressing his hair. He was asleep in a minute. Just as she was about to fall asleep she heard him mumbling in his sleep. She listened to him and realized he was dreaming about her. She heard him say I love you Ally and want to spend the rest of my life with you. She couldn't make out the rest. She closed her eyes and dozed off thinking about what his reaction would be to her special gift.

Jax woke her up Christmas morning at 7:30. He wanted to give her his most important gift in private. He promised she could go back to bed after they opened all their gifts. He told her everyone else was already downstairs waiting for her. Ally got out of bed and put his robe on.

"Jasp you and you're family are insane. I never got up before 9am as a child. Last Christmas I got up at 11:30."

"Trust me Al, this is worth it."

Ally wondered why she couldn't hear any voices. They walked into an empty family room.

"Umm Jax where is everyone ?"

"Sleeping it's 7:30"He laughed.

"Jasper Jacks you are dead"She growled.

"You won't feel that way when I give you my special present. I wanted to give it to you privately."

"Well I have one for you too. Let me go get it."Ally swore at him under her breath all the way upstairs. She popped the box in her pocket and went back to the family room.

"You woke me up so I get to go first. Merry Christmas Jasper Jacks."She handed him a long rectangular box.

A watch Jax thought and opened the box. He was surprised to see a scroll with a silver ring holding it. Jax didn't pay much attention to the ring. He left it in the box and read the scroll.

My darling Jasper,

You've given me so many incredible gifts. The greatest one being your love.

I racked my brain trying to think of the perfect gift for you. Then I realized

the one perfect gift for you could only come straight from my heart. I love

you Jasper and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

I promise to love, honour and cherish you; for richer or poorer, in sickness

and in health until the end of time. I promise to be true to you, keep you smiling

and vow to never leave you. I look at that beautiful face of yours and see the

sweetest most wonderful man alive. You've made my every dream and fantasy

come true and we have a lifetime to keep dreaming together.

Jax looked at the ring and realized it was a platinum wedding band. The inscription read Ally loves Jasper.

"Oh Ally"Jax sighed and gave her a kiss from the depths of his soul.

"Shall I take that as a yes?"She asked.

"Let me give you your gift then you'll have your answer."

Ally wasn't feeling so confident anymore. She thought Jax would say yes right away. He's stalling, not a good sign she thought. "Umm sure"

Jax got down on both knees to fish the present out from the tree where he had hidden it. He held her hand and switched to one knee.

"It seems great minds think alike. Allison McComb I've loved you since I first set eyes on you. You've filled my life with love, laughter, friendship and trust. I want to still thrill you with kisses when I'm 90. I want to spend my entire life with you, raise children with you, grow old with you.

You made me believe fairy tales can come true, that happily ever after can exist in the real world.

I love you Ally, will you marry me?" Jax opened the little velvet box and showed it to Ally.

The tears started rolling down her cheek as she looked at the spectacular 3.5 karot diamond solitaire set in platinum. "Yes"She whispered and Jax slid the ring on to her finger. He put his ring in her hand."Yes"He whispered back. Ally put the ring on his finger and kissed his hand. They looked into each others eyes and started laughing.

"Here I thought I was going to sweep you off your feet and you beat me to the proposal"

"I always beat you darling. You did sweep me off my feet though. I loved what you said and I'll remember that moment forever. I have to tell Lizzie."

"Ally it's 7:45 she'll be sleeping"

"So what, I'll wake her up for a change."She laughed and went for the phone. She dialed the number and let it ring ten times before it was picked up.

"Hello"Liz mumbled.

"Merry Christmas sweetie. Have I got news for you"

"Ally? It's 7:45 what on earth are you doing up? Merry Christmas"Liz laughed.

"Jax woke me up at 7:30 to ask me to marry him"She said excitedly.

"Oh sweetie, I'm so happy for you. I guess that's why he's still living."

"Yup, you can't kill someone who just asked you to marry him."

"So what's the ring like? Knowing Jax it's 10 karots right"Liz giggled.

"It's spectacular, 3.5 karot solitaire set in platinum. It's funny because I got him a platinum wedding band."

"What did you get him a ring for?"

"I actually proposed first. Instead of answering me Jasp got down on one knee proposed and showed me the ring."

"Only you two would both decide to propose to each other as a X-mas gift"

"Hey did you open Jax's gift yet?"

"No, what a sweetheart to send me one. I wanted to open it but I've waited."

"Go get it and open it. I want to hear your reaction."

Ally told Jax to get on the extension and they waited for her to return.

"OK I'm back"

"Merry Christmas Lizzie"Jax said.

"Same to you cutie, congratulations"

"Thanks doll, now open your gift."

They heard her ripping the paper off and then a scream. Jax and Ally started laughing.

"Oh my God, oh my God"Liz screamed.

"So do you like it?"Ally asked.

"Like it? I love you Jax. Forget little miss competitive, marry me and I'll divorce Craig"Liz said excitedly.

"Nice try Lizzie. If I've told you once, I've told you a million times Jasp is mine and mine alone."Ally laughed.

"It's my decision Al. What do you have to offer Liz?"He teased.

"Say good bye Jasper or else"Ally threatened.

"Bye Lizzie, wish Craig a Merry Christmas for me."He laughed.

"Bye darling, we'll discuss this when Ally Ba Ba isn't around"Liz joked.

Ally could hear Jax chuckling in the kitchen. "Liz you aren't even funny. Will you be a bridesmaid?"

"Sure, that will give me more access to Jax to change his mind about you."She teased.

"Liz you can try but you'll never suceed. Guess I'll see you for the Gibson Gala"

"How I've got your ticket?"

"Jax checked with Mel to see if it was ok. He remembered us and told Jax he had to bring me. He sent us another two tickets."

"Wow Mel remembered me, I've died and gone to heaven."

"You'll wish you were dead when you tell Craig he's going with you."Ally laughed.

"I forgot about that part. You should see the look he's giving me now. He'll go if he knows Jax will be there to talk to. What did your Dad say?"

"You're the first to know. I'm going to call him next then the Beckster"

"Well I'll let you go then. Call me tomorrow and we can compare gifts."

"Ok give my love to Craig, bye"

"Bye"

Ally was looking at her ring and Jax came up behind her, wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. "This time next year we'll be husband and wife. How about Sat Dec 24 2000?"

"Jasper I can't wait that long to become Mrs. Jacks. How about the last Saturday in May?"

"But Christmas is your favourite time of the year and I want you to have the wedding of your dreams"

"Oh Jasp, all I need for the wedding of my dreams is you, our families and closest friends. My favourite flower blooms in May so there's the trade off."

"Lilies of the Valley"

"Yes they are my favourite then champagne roses."

"Then the end of May it is"

Ally kissed him and went upstairs to get the ships phone number. She called and was transferred to her parents stateroom. She was praying her Dad would pick up the phone.

"Hello"

"Merry Christmas Daddy, I miss you"

"Ally my love, I miss you too sweetie. Merry Christmas to you and Jax."

"Merry Christmas Dr. McComb"Jax said over Ally's shoulder. She handed him the phone.

"Dr. McComb I hope you don't mind but I asked your daughter to marry me this morning."

"Well I hope she said yes son."He laughed.

"She did."

"Well congratulations Jax, I don't have to tell you she's the world's greatest treasure. Make sure you take care of my little girl."

"I promise I will Dr. McComb. I'll let you speak to her now"Jax gave Ally the phone back.

"I'm so happy for you darling. I know from our conversations how happy Jax makes you and how deeply you love each other. Any idea of when this blessed event will take place?"

"Thanks Dad, don't eat too much on the cruise you have to fit in your tux at the end of May."

"End of May, that's 5 months, are you pregnant dear?"

"No, I just can't wait to be Jax's wife."She laughed.

"Did you open my present yet?"

"No, Jax still has it. Did you open mine?"

"No, let's open them together."

"Jax can I have my Dad's gift please."

Jax went to the tree and pulled out a small box wrapped in Christmas Tigger paper.

"I love the paper Dad, you go first."

Ally held her breath hoping her Dad would like her gifts. She had the picture Jax took of her with Tigger blown up and framed. She made him a tape of her singing Ave Maria. She found a first edition leather bound copy of Great Expectations, his favourite novel and put two tickets to the Boston Pops inside as a bookmark. The last gift was the one she knew he'd love the most. She had created identical memory books for the two of them with pictures, mementos and memories of all the times they spent together. She heard her Dad sniffing and knew he had opened the memory book.

"Oh Ally, beside holding you for the first time this remembrance book is the best gift I've ever received."

Ally started crying,"You're welcome, but now you've made me cry. I can't see to open my gift."She laughed.

Jax gently kissed her tears away and held her as she opened her gift. Her father had given her a delicate gold necklace that she recognized immediately. It had belonged to his great grandmother.

"Oh Daddy, the Wallace necklace. You know how long I've loved it. I'll never take it off. What made you give it to me now?"

"Well sweetie, from listening to you go on and on about Jax I realized it would only be a matter of time before I lost you to him. I wanted you to have something to always remind you how much I love you and how precious you are to me. You are the greatest joy of my life Ally and I want you to carry that knowledge with you forever."

The tears were streaming down her cheeks and it took her several moments before she could speak. "I love you Daddy and you'll never lose me. Jax knows you'll always be number one in my heart and he thinks it's sweet. I'm coming down to see you before January is up. I guess I should wish Mom a Merry."

"She's not her dear, she's playing Bridge. I'll tell her for you. I still don't know why she's treating you poorly. Just ignore her and remember she does love you."

"I know she does but she sure has a funny way of showing it."

"You know how strange she can be. Give the Jacks our wishes for a happy Christmas."

"I will Dad and they wish you and Mom the best too. Take care, I'll talk to you New Years Day. I love you Dad."

"I love you too Ally. Enjoy the day."He hung up the phone.

Jax put the chain around her neck and kissed her. They stood there for awhile looking out the window at the snow that was gently falling down.

"I'm sorry you can't be with your Dad. I know how much you miss him."Jax said softly.

"I do miss him but I want to be here with you. Let's go for a walk outside. Christmas snow is magical"

"Ally up and going outside at 8am. I better bring the cam corder or no one will believe me."He teased.

"Cute Jasper, very cute. You are never going to get to unwrap me now."She threatened.

"That's what you think."He said mischievously. He tugged on his robe and it slipped off her shoulders and fell to the floor. His lips played provocatively on hers and he slid the straps off her shoulders and helped the lace teddy fall to the floor.

"Jax"

"They are still asleep Ally."He replied and went back to kissing her.

She bit down on his lower lip and nibbled on it. Jax was drawing snowflakes on her back as he kissed her neck. Ally ran her hands down his chest and slid them under his pajama bottoms and held him while she brushed her fingers up and down the length of him. Jax moaned in ecstasy and pulled her against him. Ally kept her fingers moving but slowed down her pace and used a feathery touch. Jax was moaning her name over and over again until he thought he'd die from the incredible pleasure she had created. "Ally I love it. I've felt like we've been married for awhile in my heart. Walking around with a wedding band on let's everyone else see how I feel about you."

"Oh Jasper"Ally sighed and kissed the top of his head. They both heard a door open upstairs and Jerry and V.'s voices coming down the stairs. Jax got up quickly and pulled his pajama pants back on. Ally didn't have time to put the teddy back on. She pulled his robe on and tied it tightly. Jax had just shoved the teddy in the pocket when they walked in.

"Wow Alley Cat is up and it's only 9:15. It's a Christmas miracle"Jerry teased and gave her a big hug and kiss.

"Merry Christmas V."Ally said and hugged her. When V. pulled away her hand ran over Ally's and she felt the ring. She pulled her hand up and gawked at the ring.

"Oh my, Ally and Jax, Oh wow congratulations I'm so happy "V. said.

"Happy about what?"Jerry asked.

Jax showed Jerry his left hand and Ally put her hand under his nose.

"Holy cow you guys got married last night"Jerry exclaimed.

Jane and John had just walked in and were in shock."What?"they asked in unison.

"Mom, Dad Ally and I asked for each others hand in marriage this morning. The wedding is the last Saturday in May so mark your calendars."

Lady Jane went over and hugged Ally and John hugged his son.

"I'm so happy for you both. You are meant to be together forever."Jane said.

"Welcome to the family Ally. I couldn't have asked for a better daughter in law."John said.

"Wow, congratulations bro. Cool Alley Cat will be my sis."Jerry said sweetly.

"Give me another hug bro"Ally laughed. Jerry gave her a huge bear hug and swung her around.

"Unhand my fiancé Jer and lets open these gifts."Jax laughed.

Part Twenty Four

Jane and John sat down on the couch and Jax, Jerry, V. and Ally sat down in front of the tree. Jax passed his parents their gifts and created a pile at their feet. Jerry sorted V.'s, V. gathered Jax's and Ally piled Jerry's gifts together. There was a few dozen gifts left under the tree.

"Those are all yours Alley Cat"Jerry said.

"Oh my goodness."She laughed.

"Wait kids stockings first."Jane said and got up and gave everyone their stockings.

They all dumped the contents of their stockings out. There was Clementines, gold chocolate coins, gum, a tooth brush, chapstick, life savers, a banana, McDonald's gift certificates and bubble bath.

"Wow I really feel at home now. This is just like my stocking last year. McDonald's gift certificates and gold coins are a time honoured McComb tradition."

"See sweetie we even have the same traditions."Jax laughed.

They filled the stockings back up and put them aside. Ally got up to go to the bathroom and she put her teddy back on just in case Jax's robe opened. She met Lady Jane on her way back up the hall. Jane examined her engagement ring and told Ally she loved it. She also told her she couldn't wait for her to be her daughter in law. Ally put her arm around Jane and they walked back into the family room.

"Alright, V. and Ally this is the way our Christmas morning works. We open each gift and then show it to everyone. Ally I think you better open 2 at a time or we'll still be here at dinner. After the gifts are open we sing a Christmas carol or two. Then we all go into the kitchen, get our assignments and make breakfast. After breakfast we go skating and then we'll come back here to watch your videos. You did bring them Ally?"

"Yes"

"Perfect then after the videos it's free time until dinner. Any questions?"

"Nope"Ally and V. both said.

"Then let the unwrapping begin."John said with a flourish.

Ally grabbed 2 gifts, they were both from Jax. She opened a squeaky rubber ducky and her favourite scented candles. Jax opened a box of wind up tub toys from Ally. Jerry gave V. a white gold rope chain. Jane opened a music box from Jax. John loved a collection of Edgar Allen Poe books from V. Jerry opened the satellite pager from V.

"I bet this was your idea Alley Cat"

"Nope, it was all V.'s. I did endorse the idea though. V. gave all of us the number."Ally laughed.

Ally gasped when she opened her next gift from Jerry. It was a Cartier platinum and diamond watch. On the back was the inscription To my beloved Alley Cat, Merry X-mas, Luv Jer. She quickly took her Timex off and put her new watch on.

"Oh wow Jerry, you shouldn't have but I love it so much. I was drooling over a watch not as nice as this on Rodeo Drive."

"You are welcome sweetie, it looks great on you."Jerry replied.

"You are an evil, evil wench Al."Jax laughed. He had just opened his copy of Monopoly for Dummies. Ally couldn't resist adding an inscription. Merry Christmas Darling, I love you but you could really use this book. Hope you learn something. Love always Ally.

"The truth hurts sometimes Jasp."Ally giggled.

She couldn't help letting out a wicked little laugh when she opened John's gift. A mahogany and pewter Monopoly set. Jax groaned loudly when he saw it.

"Thanks a lot Dad, she'll make me play with her and I'll lose every one of my assets."He groaned.

"That's OK Jax they'll stay in the family when we are married."Ally laughed.

Jax loved the dark brown leather jacket and beige cashmere turtle neck Ally gave him. He smiled when he opened a tiny velvet jewelry box. She had found gold and Jasper cuff links. He laughed when he opened the Tickle Me Cookie Monster, a gold slinky and a squeaky rubber ducky like the one he gave her.

"Isn't it nice to know you've found a woman who loves the child in you son?"Jane asked.

"Yes it is Mom but what I love the most is the fact that she is an overgrown kid herself."

Ally was too busy opening her next gift to hear the conversation. She squealed in delight when she saw the navy blue polar fleece with four dancing Tigger's on it. She started singing the Tigger song and everyone started to laugh.

"What's so funny?"She asked.

"We were just talking about how childish you and Jax are."V. laughed.

"I'm very proud to be an overgrown child."She said seriously and started giggling when Jax tickled her. Ally waited to see Jax's reaction to her next gift.

"New silk boxers, thanks sweetie."

"Look underneath"She whispered.

Jax lifted the boxers up and spotted the second part of her gift. A huge grin broke out on his face and his eyes turned teal.

"I love the way you think Ally."He whispered.

Ally had put a $50 Ben and Jerry's gift certificate, a bottle of cherries and two cans of whip cream at the bottom of the box.

"You never did get your sundae. I dragged you out to buy our tree."She said softly.

"I forgot but I love you for remembering."He whispered.

Ally cried when she opened Lady Jane's gift. She had put pictures of Jax growing up in a leather photo album, including the sailboat picture she loved so much. Ally couldn't believe her eyes when she turned a page and saw her baby picture and other pictures from her childhood. Lady Jane had also assembled pictures of Ally and Jax together. The last ten pages were left blank for the future.

"Lady Jane I love this so much. How?"Ally asked while drying her tears.

"Jax, V., Liz, Becky and your Dad. He's such a delightful Man, We talked for hours."

Jax got a box of CD's from V. A leather briefcase, gummy bears, the latest John Grishman and Jeffery Archer books, a love letter, and leather bound copy of How to Succeed in Business Without Really trying from Ally. Jane and John gave him an original Picasso.

Everyone had opened all their gifts and Ally still had two dozen to open , mostly from Jax. V. gave her the same large basket of Body Shop products that Ally gave her, a beautiful silk teal negligee and a leather wallet. She got a box full of licorice, a cell phone, leather day planner, Mont Blanc pen, tub toys, fuzzy Elmo head slippers, a cashmere sweater, more jasmine bubble bath, a Roots sweatshirt, a bottle of Crystal Champagne, a cranberry velvet dress and wrap, a wedding planner with a computer disk to keep track of everything, a skating pond from the Dickens collection, a music box that played Strauss waltzes and a cream fisherman's sweater from Jax.

"I'm still going to wear yours dear."

"I figured as much so I made sure it fit me."Jax laughed.

Ally couldn't believe she still had 5 gifts under the tree from Jax. She thought she went overboard buying him 15 gifts. All eyes were on her and she was felling very spoiled.

"My goodness Jasp how many gifts did you get me?"

"25 and your ring."He laughed.

The first box she opened had a gorgeous white ball gown in it.

"I thought you could wear it tonight with your rubies."He said.

"Jax it's exquisite, I could marry you in this dress. I love it, thanks."

"You're welcome. I saw it and knew it would be perfect for my snow princess."

"Oh Jasper"She sighed and kissed him tenderly.

"Come on Ally 4 more, I'm starving"Jerry said.

Ally's next two gifts were a first edition of a Christmas Carol and a 1920's collection of Christmas stories. Jax also gave her a platinum chain and locket and the matching bracelet.

"I'll need to find small pictures of us for the locket."

"Open it Al"

Ally struggled with it and grinned when she saw pictures of them already in it.

"You think of everything darling, thanks."

Her last two gifts made her cry. The second she saw Jax's framed doodlings the tears started .

"I told you she would love it Jax."V. said.

"Thanks for stopping me from pitching it."

"Jasper, you were going to throw this out? You have no idea how much this means to me. Knowing that you sit around at work dreaming about me is so incredible. When did you do this?"

"I think it was the first morning you moved in. Yeah it was that day after the fridge magnets and the shower."Jax said with a grin.

"I spent that entire day dreaming about you too."

Her tears were replaced with a dreamy smile. Then she opened her last gift and started crying again. Jax had a glitter globe created using sand instead to fall around an exact replica of the beach house complete with the lounge chair sitting on the deck. Her tears prevented her from seeing the tiny knob at the back of the wooden base. Jax turned it for her and an instrumental version of Truly Madly Deeply began to play.

"Oh Jasper"Ally said in tears. Jax held her and kissed the tears away. Lady Jane and V. were getting very misty.

"Merry Christmas my love"Jax whispered.

"Merry Christmas Prince Jasper"Ally whispered back.

"OK I'm starving everyone into the kitchen now."Jerry ordered.

Everyone got up and Ally grabbed Jax's arm and pulled him back into the family room.

"Not so fast Mr. Jacks"She said in a sultry voice

"What do you have in mind Mrs. Jacks?"He said sexily.

" I love the sound of that but we aren't married yet."

"A mere technicality. I'm glad you like it because I'm going to keep calling you Mrs. Jacks."

"Well then Mr. Jacks, Mrs. Jacks would like to kiss you."

Before Jax could answer Ally pulled him into her and they exchanged a sweet kiss that quickly turned into a very passionate series of deep erotic kisses. Jerry interrupted them and dragged them both into the kitchen.

"We've decided you are making us omelettes dear."John said.

"OK, Jax is very good at helping me chop and grate. How about a sweet tomato and onion chili sauce as a topping?"

"Is that what you made for me at the penthouse Al?"Jerry asked.

"Yup"

"My mouth is watering already."

With everyone helping breakfast was on the table very quickly. They all agreed that Ally made the world's best omelettes. They chatted about past Christmases and how early Jax and Jerry use to get up as kids. No one was surprised that this was the earliest Ally had ever gotten up on a Christmas morning. Everyone cleaned their own dishes and headed upstairs to change. Jax put on his new cashmere turtleneck on with his jeans. Ally came out of the bathroom with her jeans on and a sheer bra.

"Umm"

"What are you umming about?"She asked.

"Just appreciating the view. You know I think I should personally thank whoever designed that sheer seamless bra. You look so sexy in it."

"Thanks sweetie, I guess you are glad I have one in every colour. My Mom always teased me about keeping Victoria Secrets in business."

Ally pulled on her new blue cashmere sweater. "Wow your eyes look green Jasp. I should have gotten you the blue one."

"I like this one."

"Yeah I know you like beige a lot."

Ally grabbed the two video tapes her Dad transferred for her and they went downstairs to the family room. V. had just finished tidying the family room with Jerry. Jax plopped down at the end of the couch and Ally made herself comfortable on his lap. V. sat down on the floor and leaned against Jax's legs. Jerry grumbled about having to sit on the floor to be beside her. Lady Jane and John came down with skates in hand.

"Looks like you four don't feel like skating yet. I guess we can watch Ally's tapes first then go outside."John said as he turned on the TV and picked up the remote. He put the first tape in and sat beside his wife.

Ally provided a running commentary about what was happening and what she was thinking at the time. She had forgotten her Dad taped so many moments. Jerry had fun teasing her about wearing pigtails. Jax's interest was piqued when he saw Ally bouncing around on a football field with pom poms.

"You never told me you were a cheerleader?"

"After I had to quit skating I joined the Cheerleading Squad. It was ok but I got sick of it my senior year and joined the drama club instead. I'm sure Dad's got video of me as Lola in Damn Yankees. It must have slipped my mind but you seem very interested."

"Well I never had Catholic school girl fantasies but I have had a few cheerleader ones. Still have the uniform?"

"Yep, in my closet in Boston. I'll have to bring it home for you."

"Can't wait"He whispered huskily and gave her a passionate kiss.

They continued watching the video and put the second one in that covered her high school graduation and years at Harvard. Ally was laughing at herself in her cap and gown at her Harvard graduation. Jax didn't know she was the Valid Victorian. Ally told them that she was in agony the entire time because she got a sunburn the day before and her tight dress and the gown made her so itchy she could barely stand still. The next section was from her trip to France. She was laughing at Becky's posing for the camera. The video shifted from Paris to the French Riviera and Jax felt Ally stiffen up. She had no idea what her Dad had transferred of Becky's video and it made her very nervous. She cringed when the video moved to the beach. There she was lying topless soaking up the sun in Nice.

"It's no fair, there never are any women as gorgeous as Al sunbathing topless when I'm there."Jerry whined.

Ally turned red and buried her head in Jax's chest wishing the floor would open up and swallow her.

"Ally"Jax said softly.

She refused to look at him or anyone else.

"Ally dear there is nothing to be embarrassed about. If I had your body I'd be lying around topless too."Jane said softly.

She lifted her head a little bit to look at Lady Jane . She was smiling warmly."Come on Ally we've left the beach."

Ally looked at the screen and realized the video was showing off Monaco instead of her. She relaxed again.

"I didn't think you could tour the Royal Palace"Jane said.

"You can when your friend takes you on a private tour of his house."Ally answered.

"Yes Mom, it seems that Prince Albert and I have the same taste in beautiful blondes named Ally."

"You dated the Prince Al?"Jerry asked in amazement.

"Yup we're just good friends now though."

After the video was finished they went to get their skates and met outside.

"All of us have gone face first into the snow except V. I think that should be her punishment for being a grown up."Ally said.

Jax and Jerry agreed and they formulated a plan. Lady Jane asked Ally to skate for them. She happily agreed, she loved showing off her skating abilities. When she was finished she skated over to Jax and pulled him to the center of the ice.

"Mom if you'll hit the play button Jax and I have something to show you."She said.

Ally put her arms in the waltz position and forced Jax to.

"Ready Jasper"

"Ally no, Ice dancing with you is one thing but I'm not doing it in front of my parents and definitely not in front of Jerry. I'll never hear the end of it."

"One word Jer and you're dead. On 3 Jax 1, 2, 3"Ally said forcefully and started the Golden Waltz.

Jax thought about not moving, about jamming his skate into the ice or letting go of her hands. Then she smiled at him and like every other time they fought he gave in and did what she wanted him to. The entire time they skated he was thinking about how he could never say no to her. How he could never beat her, how she always won and that he just asked her to marry him assuring he'd never win again. He also realized that he was looking forward to loosing to her forever. After the dance ended and Jerry didn't say a word, they rushed towards V. and pushed her into a snowbank.

"No adults allowed in our club!"The three of them said and then helped V. up.

"I should have known better than to think you guys forgot about yesterday. Are you all happy now?"V. said sarcastically.

"I am"Ally laughed.

"Very happy"Jax added.

"Thrilled sweetie"Jerry said as he brushed the snow off her.

They skated for another hour then went inside for hot chocolate and cookies. Lady Jane told them dinner would be served at six and they were free to do whatever.

"Do you want to go for that walk now Ally?"Jax asked.

"No. I seem to remember you telling me we could go back to bed after opening our gifts."

"Once again I love the way you think"Jax said devilishly. and gave her an erotic kiss.

"A nap Jasp, I want to have a nap."She laughed.

"Later then?"

"I promise, now let's hit the sheets"Ally grabbed his hand and led him upstairs.

As soon as they got into the bedroom, Ally closed the door and pulled off her sweater and Jeans. She walked over to Jax and pulled his turtleneck off, unbuttoned his jeans and slid them off.

"I thought you wanted to nap."Jax teased and kissed her passionately while he unhooked her bra. Ally couldn't resist his kiss and gave him a long sultry one back. Ally finally took her lips off him before it was too late and their incredible desire for each other took over.

"I do but it's too hot to cuddle under all those covers with clothes on. Now take me to bed please."

Jax picked her up and brought her to bed hoping he could change her mind under the covers. He put her down gently and started kissing her breasts. A tiny moan escaped from her lips and she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down on her. After 30 minutes of intense and highly pleasurable kissing and groping Ally told him playtime was over and she wanted her nap. Jax reluctantly agreed wondering how he was suppose to resist her when her body was pressed up against him and she just had on a flimsy pair of silk panties. Ally shifted her body so she could rest her head on his chest. He stroked her hair and she fell asleep quickly. Jax wasn't the least bit tired. He lied there thinking about how Ally always turned him on. How easy it would be to quit working and spend everyday making love to her. He wondered how Jason could have made love to Ally once and walked away. Ally excited him more than every other women he slept with combined. He thought back to making love with Brenda. He couldn't help smiling, as hot and steamy as they were together it was unremarkable compared to what he shared with Ally. He never knew what to expect with Ally, she was constantly surprising him. He only knew that when they were finally finished he would be completely exhausted and more than likely unable to think. He thought back to the adorable half smile on her face when he told her that there would be no wars, acts of terrorism or violence on the earth if everyone had a sex life as incredible as theirs. Ally moved a little bit in his arms and went right back to sleep.

He played with his ring. He decided he should tell her how much her proposal meant to him. He had asked Miranda and Brenda to marry him. They both just said yes and let him be the one to open his heart up and offer it to them. He was the one who had to do all the work and put it all on the line. Ally somehow understood that behind his white knight persona was a very vulnerable little boy who needed to be taken care of. A little boy who needed to have someone open her heart up to him and offer it to him. He wanted her to understand that her proposal was the greatest gift he had ever been given. He wanted her to know that every time he looked at the ring he felt safe and secure because he knew she'd never leave him. He wanted her to know that their marriage would always be his first priority.

Ally woke up at 4:30, Jax was still sleeping peacefully so she decided to let him rest a little longer. She carefully untangled herself from Jax and got out of bed, slipped on his robe and padded downstairs to find V. She was having tea with Lady Jane in the kitchen.

"Hi dear I see the two of you opted for another bath."Jane said.

"No actually we went for a nap. Your crazy son woke me up at 7:30. He told me you were all waiting downstairs for me. You should have seen the look on my face when he told me you were all still sleeping. He'd be dead now if he hadn't proposed"

"I was surprised you were up at 9:30 Als. I had no idea you were up that early."V. said.

"Where is your fiancee?"Jane asked.

"Still sleeping. He makes fun of me and my naps but I'm always the first one to wake up. He'll never admit it but I've made him enjoy sleeping. He gets at least seven hours a night now and Saturdays he usually gets up at eleven. Of course I get up at noon most of the time."

"Al how can you sleep so much with Jax in the same room with you?"V. asked

Ally grinned"Remember the quiz V.? I need my rest"She laughed.

Lady Jane didn't know what the quiz was about but she had a good idea."So the truth comes out, my son is sleeping because you are wearing him out"Jane laughed.

Ally was grinning and blushing at the same time."I'm guilty as charged but Jasper is far from innocent in this case. In fact he's more guilty than me."

Jane and V. laughed knowing Ally was telling the truth.

"Ally I think it was so sweet of you to give Jax a ring. It means the world to him dear."Jane said.

"Thanks , I wanted him to be able to look at the ring and know how much I love him. He needs a constant reminder that I'm not going to leave him. I will kill Brenda if I ever get my hands on her. Jax's greatest fear is that I'll leave him. He should never have to worry about it, but it's always floating around in his sub conscience."

"Is he still having nightmares?"V. asked.

"Yeah, not as many anymore but he had a doosy last week. He scared the daylights out of me screaming no. I thought someone was attacking him. I'm a very emotional person and cry easily but to see him crying in his sleep breaks my heart. Nobody should have to go through what that witch put him through. It's still affecting him almost three years later."

"What are the nightmares about?"Jane asked.

"They vary but basically I leave him for someone else."

"My poor baby"Jane sighed.

"Don't worry Mom I'll take care of your little boy."

"I know you will sweetie."

"Hey on to a happier topic. Will you be my maid of honour V.?"

V.'s face lit up"Ally I'd love to but what about Liz or Becky?"

"I asked Liz to be a bridesmaid this morning and I haven't talked to Becky yet. I want you to be my maid of honour. I know we haven't known each other for that long but you are one of my best friends and I know I'll be able to count on you for help and moral support."

"You know when I started tailing Jax I never imagined he'd change my life forever. A great friend, a new job, a new city then a best girlfriend and a terrific boyfriend. Jax was a one stop shopping center for a new life. I'll be honoured to be your maid of honour Ally."

Ally got up and gave V. a hug. Lady Jane was sure she was with her future daughter in laws and couldn't be happier. She hugged both of her girls. Jax wandered into the kitchen and found his three favourite women in an embrace.

"Hey can I join this love in?"He asked.

"Sure"V. laughed and made room for Jax.

"So what are we hugging for?"He asked.

"Als just asked me to be her maid of honour"

"Great choice sweetie"He said and kissed V. on the cheek.

"You should ask Jerry to be your best man before he plans something else."Ally laughed.

"He'll only forget the date 20 times between now and then. Watch V. he'll ask you what the date is in a few weeks."

"I hate to break this up but we should all start getting ready for dinner."Jane said.

"Where is Jerry?"Ally asked.

"He's playing the new video game Jax gave him."V. replied.

"I'll go up and tell him to stop."Jax said.

"No way Jasper, you'll sit down and start playing the game with him. I'll tell him"Ally laughed.

Jax playfully swatted her as she left the kitchen. Ally went upstairs and heard Jerry before she saw him.

"You do know that they can't hear you Jerry"She teased.

"Hey Alley Cat is up from her nap."

"I've been up for awhile. I was talking with V. and Lady Jane. I keep meaning to tell you that I'm proud of you Jer. You are doing a great job with V., so keep up the good work."

Jerry smiled at her and motioned for her to sit down beside him. Ally sat facing him and tucked her legs in.

"What's up doc?"

"Nothing really, I just wanted to tell you that I'm thrilled Jax is going to make you one of us. We might have started off on the wrong foot but I hope you know how much I adore you. Al, I never thought I could be friends with a woman until I met you. Now I'm proud to say you are my best friend. That's all I wanted to say."

"Oh Jer"Ally sighed as tears came rolling down her cheek. She wrapped her arms around him and gave him a big hug. "I love you too Jerry"Ally whispered.

Jerry tightened his arms around her. Jax was standing at the door watching them. Jerry hadn't noticed Jax yet. Jax wondered what was going on because it looked like Jerry was about to cry.

Jerry finally noticed his brother and pulled away from Ally. She noticed his eyes were brimming with tears. She smiled and gave him a soft kiss.

"We better get dressed before Lady Jane kills us"She said.

"We can't have that now can we."Jerry laughed
