FUTURE CONSEQUENCES Part 9

<note> I was re-reading some parts and I accidently typed that Lisa was Jax’s “little” sister in one line. If anybody was confused since I have been referreing to her as Jax’s older sister, the order of the Jacks kids from oldest to youngest (in my fanfic ofcourse!) is Jerry, Lisa, then my (ahem, I mean *our*) adorable Jax:)
One Week later. . .
*knock knock*
Sonny, dressed in his usual silk shirt, and dress pants opened the door to find his friend Jason standing in the hallway, holding a large manilla envelope.
Walking, in Jason gave the envelope to Sonny.
“Well here it is Sonny, a profile on Lisa Jacks.”
Sonny eagerly took the contents of the envelope out, and quickly scanned through the pages.
“Hmmmm. . .interesting, she was adopted at 18 by the Jackses. . . met Jax in Alaska and he introduced her to the family. . . they adopted her soon after. . . What happened to her parents?”
“She met Jax somewhere in Alaska, but he was there when she witnessed her parents get killed in a big car crash. They died instantly. Jax and his family helped her through the whole thing and they adopted her after.”
Sonny rose his eyebrows. . “Really? Well that explains why she was at Brenda’s memorial.” He set the envelope and its contents down on the table, “i’ll look at this later, what else do you know off hand?”
“Ummmm. . . . well after being adopted she was put into the Jacks business and at 25 was given the leadership of the entire Asian conglomerate and has stayed in charge for the last couple of years. She has her biggest office in Japan, but from what I gathered, she is an adventurer, always jetting off somewhere.”
“Okay, well what about her realtionship with Jax? Where has she been the last while?” Sonny interrupted Jasons robotic dialogue.
“I dunno, from what I got at the memorial, she doesn’t talk to her family much.”
“She doesn’t? Well, do they still get along?”
“Well yeah, they seemed fine when I saw them all together, but she did say something to Jax’s older brother about finally responding to the messages given to her. Oh! She also said something about not getting Jax’s weekly letters or somthing like that. . “
“Really?” This was getting quite interesting Sonny thought to himself. “So that means she probably knows all about Brenda, and everything thats happened around here. . “
“Is there anything else in the envelope about her and Jax’s relationship?”
Jason shrugged his shoulders. “Not really, just the basic life story from her adoption and the other 9 years of her life from then. Relationships, business dealings, basic stuff.”
Sonny thought for a moment. “Okay, well see what else you can dig up on her relations with the Jacks clan, and even Mac and Miranda. Anybody who was related to Jax in the past.”
“Okay Sonny, but why? What’s the point?”
Sonny looked at Jason. “ I don’t know. I just get the feeling that there is something about this Lisa Jacks person that is going to be big. And if it affects old Jaaxy boy, it’s worth searching for.”

Humming along to the lively music playing in the Outback, Lisa stepped into the restaurant, taking a look around Mac Scorpio’s business. Dressed in a pair of slim-fittining tapered brown pants, a cream coloured button down blouse, and a mid-thigh suede tan coloured jacket, she walked over to the bar where she saw Mac flipping through some mail.
“Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find a *Mac Scorpio*?”
“well you’ve-” Mac cut himself off as he looked up and saw Lisa sitting on a bar stool before him. “Well, well.. . I was wondering when you showed yourself in Port-Charles.”
“Awwww, did you miss me Mac?” Lisa responded with her usual sweet, but dangerous smile.
“Don’t you wish.”
“No don’t *you* wish.” Lisa retorted.
Mac sighed, yet another Jacks in Port-Charles. “Are the rest of your clan still here?”
“If your referring to my family, John and Jane have gone back to Alaska, but I Jerry is still around, actually, were all meeting here for lunch.”
Mac stared at Lisa in disbelief. “You have got to be kidding me.”
“Why would I kid you Mac? This is a restarant, and my brothers and I want to catch up while *eating* in it. Is that okay? Or do you want me to go somewhere else, maybe ‘Ohares down the street?”
“Ofcourse your welcome here!” A female voice interuppted.
Mac glared at Felicia, and then looked back at Lisa. “ I just don’t know why you would want to eat here.”
Lisa stifled a laugh, “well, you obviously don’t have much confidence in your kitchen inkeeper!” She looked over at Felicia, extending her hand “ Lisa Jacks. And you are.. .”
“Felicia Jones.” She responded, taking Lisa’s hand in hers.
“Felicia Jones?” Lisa repeated in disbelief, scrunching up her eyebrowes as if in a deep thought. “Any relation to Frisco Jones?” she finally asked.
“Ummmm, yes. I’m his wife, I mean ex-wife.” Felicia responded, her eyes showing her shock. “If you don’t mind me asking, how do you know him?”
“So you are that Felicia.” Lisa simply responded. “Nice meeting you.” Turning to Mac, she tilted her head up to him giving him a smile, “give me a glass of orange juice please.”
Mac pushed the juice towards her.
“Cheers. See you guys later.” Lisa slid off the bar stool and walked over to a table on the other side of the restaurant.
Mac grimaced, but Felicia began talking a mile a minute.
“What’s with your dis-pleasure of her???”
“she’s a Jacks Felicia. She may be adopted, but she is still just like them.”
Felicia looked at Mac strangely, “I don’t think I’ll ever understand your hatred for those people. Their just rich, slightly eccentric, good-looking people. Gosh, I want to know how she knows Frisco, and I lover her jacket. . look at it Mac!” she said hitting him.
Mac said nothing. “One day you’ll understand Felicia.”

two hours later, still at the Outback. . .
Laughing, Jerry, Lisa, and Jax were getting up to leave after their first lunch together in years.
“I still can’t believe that we just had lunch together!” Lisa exclaimed.
“No kidding,” Jerry responded, “but how could we, with *you* never where you were supposed to be?”
Lisa laughed, “*ME?” Who was it when I called was out skydiving in Brazil? Your assistant said after that you were going to go on a two-month submarine exploration in the indian ocean! Now I wasn’t in my office, but atleast I was reachable!”
“You always bring that up you know that?”
“Will you guys stop fighting?” Jax interjected.
The two of them smiled apologetically to their younger brother.
“Seriously,” Jax continued, “thanks guys. There past few weeks have been hard for me, but this really got my mind of stuff you know?”
Lisa gave Jax a hug. “Anytime. . . you know that.”
“You know I’ll be there when you need me the most too Jax.”
Jax smiled, thanks guys he said as they walked away from the table, Mac staring at the three of them. “Why *are* you guys still here anyways? You never stay in one place this long.”
“Well, you read me like a book little brother, because I’m on my way out for a while. I’ll be back soon though. I promise.”
“Yeah,you say that *every* time I see you Jerry.”
“Yeah, well I mean it this time.”
“Mmmhmm.” Jax responded skeptically. “Don’t worry about it, I’ll be fine.”
Jerry gave his siblings a gorgeous smile, kissed Lisa on the cheek and lightly punched Jax in the shoulder.
“I will be back!” he reiterated, leaving out the door.
“Yeah, we won’t hold our breaths” Jax and Lisa both replied simultaneously. They laughed together. Jax turned to face Lisa. “So why are *you* still here?”
“I’ll leave when you’re alright in my eyes, not yours.”
“I’m fine Lisa. It’s just going to take some time, getting adjusted to life without. . .my wife. “ He sighed, “god, I hate that, having to adjust to life without Brenda.”
Lisa sympathetically smiled at Jax. “You know and I know, that you are nothing close to okay. As much as you try to sugar coat it, you are notalright. I just wish you would let me help you.”
“I have to deal with this on my own this time Lisa. Last time with Miranda, I was screwed over by my Dad and Jerry, and I don’t want that to happen again.”
“Yeah, I know it’s hard Jax. But it isn’t good for you to keep your feelings all bottled up inside of you!”
Jax looked over sadly at Lisa, “ I know, it’s just-”
*RING RING*
Jax and Lisa both grabbed for their cell phones.
“It’s mine. . .Jax here.. . yeah. . . okay, just a sec.” Covering the phone, he gave a smile to Lisa, “I really have to take this, we can talk later okay?”
“fine Jax. We don’t have to, but you have to deal with your feelings somehow.”
Jax nodded, giving her a small wave, before going back to his cell phone. As he pulled out some papers from his inside jacket pocket, Lisa looked over at him. Shaking her head she walked out of the restaurant to her car.

Halfway to her car, this time Lisa’s cell phone began to ring.
“Hello?. . . yeah! What do you have. . . your kidding me! Wait a minute, where is she?” Lisa groaned in repsonse. “Well what can you do?. . . okay, do it. Do whatever you can. . .I know its not a high success rate, just do what you can. Thanks.. . I do appreciate it...yeah, okay, I’ll talk to you later.” Lisa pressed the “end” buton of her cell phone, as she approached her car. Closing her eyes tiredly she sighed. It was time for a new game plan.
Coming up: what's the connection between that phone call from Lisa, Jax, and my favorite spy, Frisco????? And, Jax and Sonny have to deal with their feelings about Brenda.
