My Jax and Brenda Fantasy, part 1 After having a wonderful honeymoon in Alaska and the Mediterranean, Jax and Brenda have decided to return home to Port Charles. Brenda wanted to tell her friends her exciting news. Jax, always eager to please his new bride, agreed it was time to go home. Jax and Brenda are in the plane, flying from Alaska to New York. Somewhere over Canada Jax puts the plane on autopilot. He and Brenda decide to pass the time back in the passenger area. (grin) They arrive in Port Charles and head immediately for the gatehouse, to tell Ned and Lois their news. Brenda and Jax walk up to the gatehouse. Without knocking, Brenda opens the door and calls out "I'm back! We're married!" She spies Ned and Lois on the couch, making out. "Perhaps we should come back later." Jax says. Ned and Lois spring apart so fast that Lois nearly falls off the sofa. Ned catches her. "Bren, where have you been? I've been looking all over for you?" Lois says while at the same time Ned calls out "Married? Are you kidding?" "Nope" Brenda says, showing them her wedding band. "Jax arranged for us to be married on his yacht in the Mediterranean. It was SO romantic. But don't worry, we'll have another wedding soon. And Lois, I want you to be my Matron of honor." Jax looks lovingly at his bride, not knowing that his world is about go spinning around crazily. "Married? Oh Brenda, what have you done?" Lois cries out. "Lois, what's the matter? I thought you'd be happy for me." Brenda can't understand why her best friends are happy for her. After all, they were the ones who wanted for her to get over Sonny, and now that she's finally taken steps in that direction, they aren't happy. What was wrong? "Brenda, honey. There was an accident last week. Someone planted a bomb in Sonny's car. But it was Lily who was killed, not Sonny." Lois tells her. "Lily's dead? What about Sonny? Is he alright?" Brenda asks frantically. "I have to go to him, he needs me." She turns to rush out the door and bumps into Jax. She stops, uncertain. She wants to rush to Sonny's side, but she doesn't want to hurt Jax. "Go ahead, he needs you." Jax tells her. Brenda nods and leaves. Jax stares after her, clearly in misery. Ned and Lois offer sympathy, but Jax leaves, wanting to be alone. *********************************** Brenda goes to see Sonny at the Penthouse. She tells him about Jax and the wedding. He doesn't seem to care. He doesn't want her sympathy. He doesn't want anything from her. Desolate, Brenda returns to Jax's suite at the Port Charles Hotel. *********************************** Brenda enters the suite. All the lights are off. She turns on the light and sees Jax standing by the window. "Hi." She says, closing the door. "Do you want out of this marriage?" Jax asks calmly, but he's fighting back his heartbreak. "No.", Brenda tells him. Jax turns to face Brenda. She can see the pain on his face. "I'm not heartless, Brenda. I understand that you would want to comfort Sonny. But remember this, Brenda. I don't share." Jax tells her. "Jax, I'm not asking you to....." "You cannot have both me and Sonny at the same time. I told you once that you would have to learn to make a decision and stick to it. You're my wife, not his. You chose to marry me and spend the rest of your life with me. If you can't commit yourself to that, than I won't stick around. I will not get into a bidding war with Sonny over you. I refuse to spend my life chasing a fantasy." Jax says this and then turns to stare out the window again. Brenda, fighting back tears, walks over to Jax and wraps her arms around him. "Please Jax, just hold me. I'm not sure of much right now, but I am sure that I don't want to end this marriage." "That could have been you in that car, Brenda. Think about it. That's what scares me the most." Jax whispers into her hair. Brenda hides her face in Jax's shoulder, taking comfort from his closeness. "Lets go away again. Anywhere. Somewhere we can be alone. Kronos. Take me to our island, Jax. I want to see Kronos." Brenda tells him. "Brenda, we can't run away from our problems." Jax tells her. "I know that," she responds, "but I can't deal with this right now. I want to be alone with you again. We were happy on our honeymoon. I want that back." Jax agrees. They hop back into the plane and fly to Greece, where they arrange to sail to Kronos. *********************************** Early morning in Kronos Jax and Brenda are sitting on the patio, staring at the azure harbor and black sand beach of Kronos. "Its beautiful" Brenda sighs, happy again. "Yes, beautiful." Jax replies, staring at his bride, not the view. "Jax", Brenda playfully scolds. "What happened, Brenda? We need to talk about this." Jax tells her. "No we don't." Brenda informs him. "Hmm?" Jax asks. Brenda sighs. "Nothing happened Jax. Absolutely nothing." "Brenda, I love you. I don't want to know your every thought, but don't lie to me. I won't stand for lies between us." Jax tells her. Brenda leans over and strokes his cheek, "I'm not lying, Jax. Nothing happened. And nothing is ever going to happen. It is over between me and Sonny." She sits in his lap and leans her head against his shoulder. "I'm married to you, Jax. I want this marriage to work." She looks up at him. "My husband." she whispers. She kisses him passionately. Jax carries her inside where they make passionate, tender love. ***********************************
