ALWAYS AND FOREVER-PART ONE

Setting: Port Charles new york. It's Valentine's day and the year is 2000.  Brenda is at home remembering the last four years of her life. The first time she met Jax. Their first wedding. The birth of their first child, Jessica. The birth of the twins, Justin and Brieanna. Brenda starts to cry relizing she might have lost all of this because of one night in 1997 when she slept with Sonny in the Catacombs.

Bren:"How did this happen?" she asks herself.

Jax:"You slept with Sonny remember." he says coldly as he walks in the room.

Bren:"Jax it was three years ago."

Jax:"You think it matters how long ago ti was! Brenda this changes everything between us." he whipping away his tears.

Bren:"What does it change? I love you more than ever." she says crying harder.

Jax:"What does it change you ask. Well let's see, I can't trust you and how do I know you haven't slept with him since."

Bren:"Jax I swear I haven't. I love you more than life itself and I will earn your trust again. Please give me another chance."

Jax:"Brenda I love you too but I can't stay with you not after this." he says as he gets up to leave.

Bren:"Jax please don't do this, please don't leave me." she begs as he walks out the door.

The next morning Brenda is in the living room when Lois walks through the front door, which Brenda hears closing and she runs.

Bren:"Jax I'm so glad you came back."

Lois:" Bren it's me. What happened last night?" she asks.

Bren:"Jax left and I don't think he's coming back. Lois what am i going to do if he doesn't?" she asks as the tears start to follow.

Lois:"What happened? What made Jax leave?"

Bren:"Sonny came over and told Jax every little detail about what happened in the Catacombs."

Lois:"I thought Sonny promised not to tell Jax what happened?"

Bren:"He did. Sonny was drunk."

Lois:"Brenda where did Jax go?" she asks.

Bren:"I don't know, he just left. Lois can you watch the kids for another night or two?" she asks.

Lois:" Sure but why?"

Bren:"I'm going to find Jax and get him back." she says.

About three hours later Brenda is calling everywhere she thinks Jax might be. The front door opens and closes but Brenda doesn't hear it.

Jax:"Brenda are you home?" he calls out.

Bren:"Jax is that you?"

Jax:"Brenda where are the kids?" he asks.

Bren:"They are with Ned and Lois. Jax we need to talk."

Jax:"Not now, I'm going to get the kids and I'm taking them with me."

Bren:"Jax you can't take them."

Jax:"Oh yes I can, watch me."

Bren:"Jax please listen to what I have to sat."

Jax:"Okay you have five minutes and than I leave." he says.

Brenda and Jax walk into the living room and sit down.

Bren:"That night in the Catacombs meant nothing. I was going thruogh withdrawl from those pills I was taking. Jax I love you and I need you, I can't live without you. Please give me another chance." she waits for Jax's reply.

Jax:"Brenda I love you too but I don't know if I can trust you."

Bren:"Jax I will earn you trust. Please don't leave again. I will move into one of the guest rooms." she begs.

Jax:"Brenda you don't have to do that, I will stay in one of the guest rooms." he says.

Bren:"Jax I need you to know that nothing has happened between Sonny and I since than."

Jax:"I don't know if I can believe that. I'm going to pick up the kids." he walking out of the room.

Later that night Brenda is watching Justin and Brieanna sleep.Jax walks by the room and sees Brenda and walks over to her.

Jax:"Brenda what are you doing it's three in the morning?" he asks.

Bren:"I always watch them sleep I can't help it. Justin looks so much like you."

Jax:"Brenda you should go to bed." he says looking at Justin and Brieanna not noticing Brenda had fallen asleep.

Jax:"Brenda...." he looks at her and smiles, he picks her up and carries  her to the master bedroom where he lays her on the bed.Brenda snuggles close to a pillow just like she would if he was laying there.Jax walks out of the room and walks into his room when Jessica walks in.

Jess:"Daddy can I sleep in here?" she asks.

Jax:"What's wrong?"

Jess:"I can't sleep."

Jax:"Okay come in." he says as Jessica runs over to him and jumps into the bed. They fall asleep a little while later.

The next morning Brenda woke to the sound of crying as she did every mornig for the last three months. On the way to get the twins she looks in Jax's room and sees him asleep with Jessica in his arms. Brenda has to tare herslef away. Jax wakes up and waks down the stairs. When he gets to the entrace of the living room his heart skips a beat as he sees Brenda holding Brieanna and feedind her. Jax walks in the room and goes over to the playpen where justin is laying and picks him up and sits on the couch besiad Brenda. Brenanda hands a bottle to Jax.

Bren:"Why don't you feed him?"

Jax:"Okay. Brenda I'm sorry for the way I walked out on you but I had a good reason."

Bren:"Jax you have every right to hate me for what I did but you need to know how much I love you and what happend the was a mistake. If there was anyway I could take it back I would." she says looking away from him.

Jax:"Brenda I'm mad that you slept with him but what gets me really and truely mad is the fact you lied to me about for three years." he says.

Bren:"Jax I'm so sorry for what happend you have to know that."

Jax:"Brenda I don't know anything anymore."

The room goes silent and it stays that way for hours.
