NEWS: The new fothcoming single is called 'Tender'. It's a song with a Christmas spririt, and the album (release: March 16) will be called '13'.

Let’s start with their second and best album "Modern life is rubbish". The boys sing about the English cultural heritage and what’s wrong about it. There is no English tea for Blur!! They are not a big hit, but there are already a lot of people who like this band very much.

And than we have the big breakthrue. The singles "Parklife", "Girls and Boys", "To the end" and "End of a century" are big hits in England. I think these are almost the only good songs on the Parklife album. But they are very famous now, but outside Great Britain people do not listen very often to this English music.

Blur and another band from England called Oasis start to say very bad things about eachother. Pressfucker Noel Gallagher tells a journalist that Blur singer Damon Albarn should get AIDS and so on. It ends with the release of a single on the same date. Blur’s Country House and Oasis’ Roll with it. And the winner is …….. BLUR!!. The new album "The Great Escape" is being slagged off by the press and a lot of other people. Why? I don’t know. I like the album with the excellently produced songs.

The last album is just called Blur. A new style: American alternative guitarmusic. The first single "Beetlebum" is the second nr. 1 hit in England for the band. The single "Song 2" makes everyone shout WEEEEEHOOOOOO. The band is working on a new album. This year Blur released an album called 'Bustin' and dronin' with remixes (Moby, William Orbit, etc.) and their BBC Session. Personally, I like the 'Movin' On remix' by William Orbit, which was also a b-side of the M.O.R. single.

In the year 1998 Blur performed live just once, and that was at the Glastonbury festival in England. They also played some new songs. Blur is a really good liveband. I've also got some live-music of them on tape of CD at my Tape Trading place
