Second Stage

(Just Beck and his guitar. First Beck looked at a guy up front 
and goes, "what do YOU wanna hear?" and he goes, 'Lazy Flies" and 
Beck was kinda reluctant, but agreed saying, 'you'll have to let me 
slide on it if I mess up...I might have to jump midship here...".  
Alotta chords and all. So after that (and it was beautiful and he played 
the whole song perfectly!)  he looks over at a girl up front, and 
asks her the same question. He lowered the mic and she yells "take me backstage!"  
Beck laughed his ass off!  He goes, "wow...I don't know THAT one!"  but then, 
he just starts picking this great melody and makes stuff up on the fly....

take me backstage,
oh won't you take me backstage
a whole lot of magic goin on backstage,
it seems to be all the rage
folks actin their age,
people sending e-mails 
and drinking coffee
and lots of beverages,
but going backstage is like turning the page
of a book that you'd like to throw away,
oh won't you take me backstage...

There was ALOT more to it, he went on for a few minutes and everyone
was laughing and everything.  Beck was laughing and kind of gazing 
into the distance while making up lyrics. Pure magic. In fact, he 
was smiling and laughing most of the night.)
