After the December 11 gig at the MEN Arena, the
James Information Mailing List and Banner Promotions threw another James Night
down at Cyberia (the third). One Fan Clapping was there with bells on and
several cameras and the photos below are the result. Personally, I really
enjoyed myself yet again because 1) this time I didn't have to help the DJ, 2)
it was a blast getting to meet loads of James fans, including loads of people
who've sent email to the site, or who are regular contributors to the Stutter
mailing list who I felt I already knew, and 3) when else could you spend an
ENTIRE night dancing to James? I think these fan get-togethers are a
special thing because rather than being a typical night out in a disco trying to
look good and impress members of the opposite (or same) sex, James Night is more
of a celebration where you know everyone in the room is going to be friendly,
and you know you share at least one thing in common with the person smacking
into you on the dance floor. All in all it makes for a fun, friendly,
drunken evening of mad dancing and a lot of swapping of addresses, phone numbers
and James rarities. I hope everyone else there enjoyed themselves as much
as I did, and next time, I hope to see everyone who missed us in December.
