Though recorded before Abbey Road, Let It Be was such a mess it was released almost a year later! The Beatles during this time, were frustrated with each other and between trying to do an album, make a movie, and get along there was little unifying the band. They also gave a (in)famous concert on top of their building--their last public performance together.
The producer was Phil Spector, who displeased Paul in the way he arranged some of his music. Anyway, Let It Be is still one of the best albums with songs like The Long And Winding Road, Let It Be, Get Back, and Across The Universe.
