Templeton Peck, AKA "Faceman" or "Face", was thus named because his "looks" helped the team greatly during their missions. Face used them, his quick wittedness, and his charisma to con people out of their possessions to get what the A-Team needed for their mission. Always cool under pressure, Face rarely came away empty-handed. He could get First Aid kits, cars, trucks, planes, food, etc.
His looks and refined tastes allowed Face to be the ladies' man of the group. By the end of virtually every episode, Face came away with the girl. He also cruised around in his Corvette.
Face was an orphan who was passed back and forth between orphanages as a child. It was once stated by B.A. that if not for Hannibal putting Face on the A-Team during his stint in the military, he would have ended up in jail.
