..."Is he your brother?" Chris asked Kylie while he
handed her back the picture. Kylie hesitated, while being unsure of what Chris's reaction would be once she told him. With one deep breath, Kylie answered,"No, he's my son."
Chris took the picture back from Kylie's grasp and just looked at it. "There's that same cliche look" she thought to herself. "Um..I guess I should be ummm..leaving," she started saying while getting up from her stool. Continuing she said I think I've done my fair share of freaking people out for tonight" and with a nervous laugh, she reached over to retrieve Drew's photograph from Chris. She just had a feeling that like the many guys beore him, Chris would just feel wierd around a woman he was attracted to, but yet had a child. Chris looked up from the picture. Kylie was dreading the worst at that moment.
Jen hung up the phone. There was no answer. She was concerned about Amanda. Amanda had been having trouble with her boyfriend, and Jen was concerned.
Chrissa had been dancing with incredibly good-looking guy. His name was Nathan, and he had these gorgeous sea-green eyes. They had finally taken a break from dancing and sat down at a nearby table. Chrissa loved everything about him. Everything from his sandy-blonde tresses to his boyish grin to his well-in-shape body. Not only were his looks incredible, his personality was another "Nathan" element to rave about. As the more she got to know him, the more she loved about him. It made her sort've question whether or not he was too good to be true. "So what's your last name?" Chrissa asked Nathan. "Esseck" Nathan replied. "Nathan Esseck" Chrissa thought to herself. "I'm going to get us a couple of drinks" Nathan said while standing up. Chrissa smiled and nodded. As Nathan walked away, she couldn't help but wonder why Nathan's name sounded so familiar. She laughed thinking "Sounds just like Amanda's latest boyfriend's name." She looked at Nathan, who was standing by the bar, and thought "Nah, it can't be, can it?" She knew she never met Nathan before, but she figured what were the chances of her hooking up with the same guy her best friend Amanda was dating.
(Hmm...what ARE the chances? hehe)
"Cute kid" Chris said with a smile. Kylie was stunned to say the least, and with that she blurted "Cute what?" Chris laughed, then replied "I said, cute kid, looks just like his mom." Kylie was so shocked, then she stammered "Th..tha..thanks."
Joey had finished getting ready to head out to the club. But Sarah still was not finished changing. He wondered what was up, so he walked inside their bedroom. As soon as the door was open, it unleashed a tasty and crisp aroma of what seemed like passion fruit. He grinned thinking "What is Sarah up to now?" Just then he felt a hand placed on his shoulder.
Before they even knew it, Chris and Kylie had been engaged in a full on conversation about Drew - which was a result of Chris's casual question " So tell me more about your son ." Kylie just felt so much more connected to Chris. She never met a guy who was so understanding and accepting of her son, as well as being attracted to her. She knew Chris liked her, because he said it in a not-so-subtle way earlier on. Their lively conversation was full of smiles and laughter. And without even thinking, and just out of impulse, Kylie blurted out "Omg, Chris marry me!"
