The Legend of the Raven
God and Goddess created all kinds of birds to live in the lush
and
beautiful heavens with them. The Raven was one of these birds.
All the
birds were rather joyful in the heavens, except the Raven. The
Raven
wanted to explore the world below and understand the feelings of
the
people; but the god and goddess wished all the birds to stay in
the
heavens. So on a dark and stormy night, the Raven knew it could
sneak
out without being seen due to its sleek black appearance and that
is
just what it did. It cut through the sky with grace and flew all
around
throughout the dark night. It did not return in time however and
was discovered.
The god and goddess were of such kind nature that they
did
not punish the Raven but rather empowered it. They gave the Raven
the ability to see people's pain and people's love. And this is why the Raven
comes to a high loft to sit and watch people and the same reason
it
comes to the graves; it doesn't represent an evil or bad omen but
rather
The Raven is a representation of the power of love and the courage
it
takes to believe in it unconditionally..
