Or is the Am7 correct or should it be a regular Am? He plays lots of strange chords but I think this song sounds best on acoustic guitar with just regular chords, no 7ths or weird stuff. So I tried to use what I thought sounded best. Try the others and see which chords you like best. INTRO: ------ G Em Bm E|--2-3-2----3---2-3-2---0---2-3-2---2-- B|--------3--3---------3-0---------3-3-- G|-----------0-----------0-----------4-- D|-----------0-----------2-----------4-- A|-----------x-----------2-----------2-- E|-----------3-----------0-------------- G Em Bm E---5-3-2----3---2-3-2---0---2-3-2---2--| B---------3--3---------3-0---------3-3--| G------------0-----------0-----------4--| D------------0-----------2-----------4--| A------------x-----------2-----------2--| E------------3-----------0--------------| Play that twice. I personally don't play the picking stuff coz I don't think it sounds good on guitar, I just strum the chords. [Ok, before we start the verse you should know this. Em probably should be Em7, I think that's more correct but I think a regular Em sounds better so I use that. And Am7 could also be a regular Am. Try them all and see which ones you like best] VERSE 1: -------- G Em Bm Oh no, I see, F Am7 G I spun a web, it's tangled up with me, Em Bm And I lost my head, F Am7 G The thought of all the stupid things I said, G Em Bm G Em Bm <---Play the chords like in the INTRO VERSE 2: -------- G Em Bm Oh no, what's this? F Am7 G A spider web, and I'm caught in the middle, Em Bm so I turned to run, F Am7 G The thought of all the stupid things I've done, CHORUS: [You can also use a regular Em instead of the Em7] ------- A Em7 And I never meant to cause you trouble, A Em7 And I never meant to do you wrong, A Em7 And I, well if I ever caused you trouble, A Em7 Oh, no I never meant to do you harm G Em Bm G Em Bm <---Play the chords like in the INTRO VERSE 3: -------- G Em Bm Oh no, I see, F Am7 G A spider web and it's me in the middle, Em Bm So I twist and turn, F Am7 G Here am I in love in a bubble, CHORUS: ------- A Em7 Singing, I never meant to cause you trouble, A Em7 I never meant to do you wrong, A Em7 And I, well if I ever caused you trouble, A Em7 Although I never meant to do you harm G Em* Bm G Em* Bm <---Like always, you can also use Em or Em7 G Em* Bm instead of Em*, use what you think sounds best.
