Sounds alarmingly like Alice In Chains though. About the chords, they are basically all power chords. You may notice that some of them have names like D2 and F2, but that's just to tell them apart from the D5 and F5 chords that are played an octave lower. And remember the song uses Drop-D tuning. If you STILL don't know what Drop-D tuning means, it means you tune your low E string down to D, so it sounds the same as your D string only an octave lower. If you want more Creed tabs, there are many sites that have them. One is called the Thunder In The Distance, I don't remember the address, but you can get to it from the links section of the Official Creed Homepage which is at www.creednet.com TAB SYMBOLS USED: ----------------- h = hammer-on p = pull-off / = slide up \ = slide down b = bend note r = release bend * = palm muted note INTRO: ------ First you play this: E|-------------------------0----------------------------0------- B|------------6--------------6-------------6--------------6----- G|------7p5----------7p5-------5-----7p5----------7p5-------5--- D|--0-------0-----0------0-------0-------0-----0------0-------0- A|-------------------------------------------------------------- D|-------------------------------------------------------------- E---------------------0---------------------------------| B--------6--------------6-------------6--6-6-6/8-8-8-8--| G--7p5----------7p5-------5-----7p5---5--5-5-5/7-7-7-7--| D------0-----0------0-------0-------0-------------------| A-------------------------------------------------------| D-------------------------------------------------------| The second time it's played like this: [in the verses it's also played like it is below, we'll call it Riff 1] RIFF 1: E|----------------------------0-------------------------------0------- B|------------6--6-6-6----------6-------------6--6-6-6----------6----- G|------7p5---5--5-5-5--7p5-------5-----7p5---5--5-5-5--7p5-------5--- D|--0-------0---------------0-------0-------0---------------0-------0- A|-------------------------------------------------------------------- D|-------------------------------------------------------------------- E------------------------0-----------------------------------| B--------6--6-6-6----------6-------------6--6-6-6/8-8-8-8----| G--7p5---5--5-5-5--7p5-------5-----7p5---5--5-5-5/7-7-7-7----| D------0---------------0-------0-------0---------------------| A------------------------------------------------------------| D------------------------------------------------------------| VERSE 1: [play RIFF 1 above] -------- Peace, is what they tell me Love, am I unholy Here's the tab for the pre-chorus. The first time you play it, sing 'Peace in my head' The second time you play it, sing 'Lord in my head' The third time you play it, sing 'Lies in my head' INTERLUDE: ---------- Play RIFF 1 twice, while the backing vocals sing 'aaaaaaaaaaaaah' In the next chorus, the guitar is clean. It also plays the chords a little differently. The chords that are different are: DADGBE F5 is now played as (3335xx) G5 is now played as (5557xx) Bb5 is now played as (8-8-8-10-x-x) A5 is now played as (7779xx) CHORUS: [clean guitar] ------- F5 C5 G5 The peace is dead in my soul D2 Bb5 I have blamed the reason for F2 A5 G5 My intentions poor F5 C5 Yes I'm the one who G5 D2 The only one who Bb5 F2 A5 [play FILL 1] Would carry on this far | You start the distortion again when you play FILL 1 CHORUS: [play like the first and second choruses] ------- The peace is dead in my soul I have blamed the reason for My intentions poor Yes I'm the one who The only one who Would carry on this far OUTRO: ------ Start by playing PART 2 of the bridge twice, then you just play the intro, but is has some echo so it sounds kinda strange. You can try playing it something like this: E|--------------------------0------------------| B|----------6-------6---------6-----6-------6--| G|----7p5-----7p5-----7p5-------5-----7p5------| D|-0------0-------0-------0-------0-------0----| A|---------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------| ...then just fade out! This will be the last tab I write for Quality Tabs since I'm shutting it down, so enjoy! ********************************************************************** Questions, comments, corrections, requests, send to: qualitytabs@qualitytabs.tk ********************************************************************** Visit the QUALITY TABS INC.
