I'll try to tab every part that's important in the song but it may not be perfect. I can't really type lyrics with chords over them because this song is not that simple so what I'll do, I'll tab the song out in parts an then tell you the second in the song where it starts (like 01:23, 1 minute, 23 seconds). Then you can listen to the song on cd and figure out where which part goes. You probably won't need to because you've heard the song so you know what it's like, but I always try to make tabs so simple that anyone, no matter how stupid he/she is, can figure the song out from my tab. Anyway, then I'll just type the lyrics at the bottom of the file. Then you'll have it all. But enough with the bullshit, here's the song... INTRO: (RIFF1) ------ [if you don't think the intro souunds right it's because he has some kind of effect. I saw in one tab that someone said he had a dual pitch shifter, whatever that is! But I'm sure he plays it down on the first three frets because I've seen him play it in concert. (00:00) E|-------------------------------------------------- B|---------3--0--------0-----------1---------------- G|------0-----------0-----0-----0-----0--2b3r2--0--- D|---------------3-----------1---------------------- A|-------------------------------------------------- E|---3---------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------- B---------3--0--------0-----------1--------4-------- G------0-----------0-----0-----2-----2-/5-----5----- D---------------3-----------1----------------------- A--------------------------------------------------- E---3----------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------- B---------3--0--------0-----------1--3--3b4r3--1---- G------0-----------0-----0-----0-------------------- D---------------3-----------1----------------------- A--------------------------------------------------- E---3----------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------| B---------3--0--------0-----------1----------------| G------0-----------0-----0-----0-----0--2b3r2--0---| D---------------3-----------1----------------------| A--------------------------------------------------| E---3----------------------------------------------| VERSE: ------ When the verse starts, first there just bass playing this: (00:20) (RIFF2) G Cm G|-------------------------------------| D|-------------------------------------| A|------------------3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3----| E|--3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3--------------------| play that twice and then the guitar plays this: (00:30) (RIFF3) G Cm G E|------------------------------------------------------------| B|--------0-------------1-------------3------4-3-4-3-4-3-4-3--| G|------0----0--------0----0--------0----0--------------------| D|----0-------0-----0--------0----0--------0------------------| A|------------------------------------------------------------| E|--3-------------3-------------3-----------------------------| Then play this: (00:40) (RIFF4) G Cm E|---------------------3----| B|---3----3----4------4-----| G|---4----4----5-----5------| D|---5----5----5----5-------| A|--------------------------| E|--------------------------| Play RIFF4 twice and then play RIFF3 again. (02:46) After that comes this: (02:56) G Cm G E|------------------------------------------------------------------| B|--------0-------------1-------------3-----------------------------| G|------0---0---------0---0---------0---0----12-11-10-9-xx-8-xx-7---| D|----0-------0-----0-------0-----0-------0--x--x--x--x-xx-x-xx-x---| A|-------------------------------------------10-9--8--7-xx-6-xx-5---| E|--3-------------3-------------3-----------------------------------| Then at (03:05) you play the CHORUS-RIFF twice. After that at (03:23) you play the chorus riff a little differently, like this: (03:23) ~ = slight vibrato p = pull-off b = bend G5 C5 E|-------------------------------------------- B|-------------------------------------------- G|-------5p3~------5p3~--5-5-5p3-5p3-5b6-5-3~- D|--5-5-------5-5--------5-5------------------ A|--5-5-------5-5--------3-3------------------ E|--3-3-------3-3----------------------------- E5 E------------------------------------------------| B------------------------------------------------| G-------5p3~------5p3~----12-11-10-9-xx-8-xx-7---| D--2-2-------2-2----------x--x--x--x-xx-x-xx-x---| A--2-2-------2-2----------10-9--8--7-xx-6-xx-5---| E--0-0-------0-0---------------------------------| After that at (03:32) comes yet another variation on the chorus riff I'm not quite sure how it is. It's basically like the normal chorus riff but with some strange bend. Anyway, mail me if you know it. After that comes the bridge I guess. The bridge is just strummed chords. EADGBE The chords are Bb (6887xx) C (8-10-10-9-x-x) C# (9-11-11-10-x-x) The bridge starts at (03:41) and it goes like this: Bb C C# C Bb C C# (just strum those chords) Next at (03:57) comes this part yet again: E|---------------------------| B|---------------------------| G|----12-11-10-9-xx-8-xx-7---| D|----x--x--x--x-xx-x-xx-x---| A|----10-9--8--7-xx-6-xx-5---| E|---------------------------| Then, finally, at (03:59) comes this final solo: (The other guitar plays the CHORUS-RIFF while you play this ultra cool solo) (03:59) ~ = slight vibrato b = bend r = release h = hammer-on E|---------------------------------------------------------------- B|---------------------------------------------------------------- G|------------15~~------------15~~------------15--17-15-17b21r17-- D|---15-16-17--------15-16-17--------15-16-17--------------------- A|---------------------------------------------------------------- E|---------------------------------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------------------------------- B----------------------------------------------------------------- G--15h17-15--12----12----12----12----12----12----12----12--12-15-- D----------------------------------------------------------------- A----------------------------------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------------------------------- B----------------------------------------------------------------- G-----------15~~------------15~~------------15--17b21r17-15h17-15- D--15-16-17--------15-16-17--------15-16-17----------------------- A----------------------------------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------------- G---12----12----12----12----12----12----12----12-- Keep playing this D------------------------------------------------- latest part many A------------------------------------------------- times E------------------------------------------------- Then play the CHORUS-RIFF with slight variations and weird noise a few times and then the song is over. I'd really appreciate some comments about this tab since I've spent many hours transcribing this song and writing it down. OK, here are the lyrics, straight out of the CD liner notes so don't blame me if they're wrong.
