This song is UNBELIEVABLY GREAT!! One thing I can't work out though. I got the lyrics from a Verve page and they were completely different from the song I have on tape that I recorded from the radio. They weren't different like you might accidentally write it wrong, they were different like there was some other version of the song. Maybe difference between single and LP versions? If anyone knows, please tell me. The Dsus4, Dsus2 and Esus4 chords, I haven't written them anywhere in the file. When you're playing the verses you sometimes throw in some Dsus2's and Dsus4's when you're playing D and some Esus4's when you're playing E. You can't really write where you do it, just when you think it sounds good to add a bit of flavor, do it! I think it sounds pretty good to play Cmaj7(x32000) instead of C in the chorus. This is not how they play it, I know, but try it, it sounds good. INTRO: ------ Eerr... I recorded this song from the radio and I didn't get the intro so I can't be sure how it goes. Most likely though it is G D A E like the verses. Tell me if you know. VERSE 1: -------- G D I wander lonely streets A E Behind where the old Thames does flow G D And in every face I meet A E Reminds me of what I've run for CHORUS: ------- Asus2 In every man, in every hand Em In every kiss, you understand C That living is for other men D I hope you two will understand VERSE 2: -------- G D I've got to tell you my tale A E Of how I loved and how I failed G D I hope you understand A E These feelings should not be in the man CHORUS: ------- Asus2 In every child, in every eye Em In every sky, above my head C I hope that I know D So come with me in bed Asus2 Because it's you and me, we're history Em There ain't nothing left to say C D When I will get you alone VERSE 3: [play like verses 1 & 2] -------- G D Maybe we could find the room A E Where we could see what we should do G D Maybe you know it's true A E Living with me is like keeping a fool SOLO: ----- Keyboards or violins or something play the solo over these chords: Asus2 Em C D [chorus chords] CHORUS: ------- Asus2 And one and one is two Em But three is company C When you're thinking about the things you do D Dsus4 And you're thinking about the things you do VERSE 4: -------- G D I wanna tell you my tale A E How I fell in love and jumped out on my bail CHORUS: ------- Asus2 In every sky, in every kiss Em There's one thing that you might have missed C Why am I going to D A place that now belongs to you Asus2 But you were weak and so am I Em Let's pick it up, let's even try C To live today, so why not smile D Asus2 Em Don't dream away your life coz it is mine (it is mine) C D Is that a crime (this life is mine) Asus2 This life is mine P.S. I know Bittersweet Symphony on guitar sounds absurd to most people but you can play the whole song with four chords. The chords are: E (022100), Bm7(x24232), D(xx0232) and A(x02220). Just play those over and over again: E Bm7 D A ********************************************************************** Questions, comments, corrections, requests, send to: qualitytabs@qualitytabs.tk ********************************************************************** Visit the QUALITY TABS INC.
