What can you play for her? Smoke On The Water? Hardly! Stairway To Heaven? BORING!! No, now you can play two great classic themes that EVERYBODY knows because QualityTabs is gonna teach them to you. These two themes are probably the best known and mest loved themes in the world and they're easy to play. If you can play Stairway or Nothing Else Matters, you can definitely play these two. (Of course I haven't transcribed the whole works, just the best known parts, so you can show off what a well rounded player you are;) So here they are: "Fur Elise" by Ludwig van Beethoven This is the ultimate classic song that everyone knows. I just figured it out and I didn't even need to listen to it to do it, it's easy once you've figured out the chords. It might not be note-for-note correct but it sounds VERY CORRECT when you're just playing it alone. The time signature is kind of strange, it seems like the first part is in 4/4 and then the rest in 3/4. But you don't have to worry about that, all the notes are steady and the same space between every note. CHORDS: ------- EADGBE Em (022000) B7 (x21202) G (x-10-9-7-8-7) <- like a barred C-chord D (x57775) Em B7 Em E|--7-6-7-6-7-2-5-3-0-------0-2-2-------0-2-3-----0- B|----------------------0-0-----------0---------0--- G|--------------------0-------------2---------0----- D|------------------2-------------1---------2------- A|------------------------------2------------------- E|-------------------------------------------------- Em B7 Em E--7-6-7-6-7-2-5-3-0-------0-2-2-------3-2-0-----2-3-5- B----------------------0-0-----------0---------0------- G--------------------0-------------2---------0--------- D------------------2-------------1---------2----------- A------------------------------2----------------------- E------------------------------------------------------ G D Em B7 E--7--------8-7-5-------7-5-3-----0-5-3-2-------2---2-2- B---------8-----------7---------0-------------0---0----- G-------7-----------7---------0-------------2----------- D-----9-----------7---------2-------------1------------- A--10-----------5-----------------------2--------------- E------------------------------------------------------- Em B7 Em E--7-6-7-6-7-2-5-3-0-------0-2-2-------3-2-0---| B----------------------0-0-----------0-----0---| G--------------------0-------------2-------0---| D------------------2-------------1---------2---| A------------------------------2---------------| E----------------------------------------------| "Moonlight Sonata" by Ludwig van Beethoven Beautiful intro and real easy too. The chords I give you may seem strange but I only type in the notes you use, it's not chords to strum, they just show you where to put your fingers. CHORDS: ------- EADGBE Dm (xx0231) Dm/C (x3x231) Bb (x1x331) Eb/G (3xx343) <- I use my thumb to play the bass note on this chord. I've just figured out the next part of the Moonlight sonata. But I've just transcribed the rhythm picking. I didn't transcribe the melody because it's impossible to play the rhythm and the melody in this song on one guitar and the picking pattern sounds really great even without the melody. If someone desperatly wants to learn more you can email me and I might transcribe some more if I'm in the mood, but it's a hell of a job to transcribe these classical songs. Anyway, here are the chords for the next part: CHORDS: ------- EADGBE Dm (xx0231) C#* (x4x253) <-this one is tricky. I use my ring finger on the Gm (3xx333) A string, my index finger on the G string, C* (x3x211) my pinky on the B string and my middle finger on C (x32010) the E string.
