What you need to know is that he's tuned 2 notes (whole step) down. Tune all your strings 2 notes down and you'll be able to use this tab with the CD. Please don't start sending me messages saying that it's in the wrong tuning. Has anyone else noticed that the intro sounds alarmingly like Metallica's 'One'? Really similar!!! And big thanx to my mate Brian who told me the right tuning and basic tab for this song!! INTRO: [Remember, everything is tuned 2 notes down] ------ [Play this tab twice] E|-----------------------------------------------------------| B|-----------------------------------------------------------| G|-----------------------------------------------------------| D|----4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0---| A|--2------2------0------0-----------------------------------| E|------------------------------3------3------0------3-------| VERSE 1: [play palm-muted using only downstrokes] -------- D* G5 B5 I never thought I'd die alone G5 D* I laughed the loudest who'd have known? G5 B5 I trace the cord back to the wall G5 D* No wonder it was never plugged in at all G5 B5 I took my time, I hurried up G5 D* The choice was mine I didn't think enough G5 B5 I'm too depressed, to go on G5 [start tab here] You'll be sorry when I'm gone [Now play this tab twice:] E|----------------------------------------------------------| B|----------------------------------------------------------| G|------0------0------0------0------------------------------| D|----7------7------9------9------4-0----4-0----4-0----4-0--| A|--5------5------7------7------2------2--------------------| E|--------------------------------------------3------3------| OK, in the chorus things get a bit complicated. I put the basic powerchords over the lyrics. If you just have one guitar you can play them and it'll sound good. But I'm gonna try to explain how they really play it. They have two guitars. I've tabbed out the whole damn thing. This is how I hear it. I know I'll probably get a million corrections but this is what I think is right. And again, if you have one guitar you should just play the basic powerchords.
