BMX Racing
I've been a fan of BMX racing since something like 1990 or 1991. My brother
John
started racing with his friend Aaron.
They both had Kuwaharas then. I started
getting into it like how any normal younger brother copies their older brother.
I got a Kuwahara Laser Lite BMX bike from out local bike show for $170 and had it
up until August or September of 1997 when someone felt they needed it more than I did
and took it from out shed. Damn! I had a chrome Kuwahara Laser Lite, with the
Kuwahara Laser Bar (handlebars), Kuwahara Laser Post (seat post), even a Kuwahara
number plate, 3 piece GT crank, Redline ultra-light rims...EVERYTHING! And if
you're into BMX, you know how hard it is to find a Kuwahara these days. They
used to be #1, but then went out of business and now their great Japanese bikes are
a bitch to find! But anyway, at the same BMX store, my friend Dave gave me an estimate
(seeing as how you can't find em)
of $600!. So my insurance company paid to get a new one...
a SE PK Ripper-XL. Nice as hell! And the damn thing only weighs 22 lbs!
Too bad it's the dead of winter and I
can't ride the damn thing! But I did take it out for a test spin and boy does it
ride nice.
But I'll get onto some pictures.
Here's a picture (taken in 1992) of (clockwise from left)me, my brother John, Mike King
(raced for Redline), Aaron Miller, Matt Delegergardle, Zack Zoreo (?)(Raced
for Redline), and my brother Martin.

Here's another picture of my new bike:

Here's the BMX trophys I have so far:

But anyway, I hope to be back in shape and racing my summer!
