A Pleasant Shade of Gray

Fates Warning is once again stepping up to reclaim their title as the premier progressive metal band of the 90's. Here's the latest from Metal Blade ( 6/2/97 ):

FATES WARNING IS BACK!

A new album is out currently from Fates Warning entitled "A Pleasant Shade Of Gray". **Ray Alder will be online answering all of your questions. The AOL chat is at 7:00PM California time on Tuesday June 3rd (just before he leaves for the European tour). It's under Arts & Entertainment and I think the room will be called Fates Warning Chat.
So everybody get those questions ready....and tell a friend.

See Fates Warning live in July! Thank you, Metal Blade Records, Inc.

Here's a copy of our chat with Ray Alder from June 3,1997:

Best of Fates Warning Tablature book

This book is incredible. It contains all guitar parts ( solos, fills, and harmonies ) as well as all vocal parts. As a guitarist I have transcribed many of their songs but after reading the book I realized that their music is too challenging and complex for a mere mortal guitarist to transcribe. I highly recommend this book for any serious guitarist. Fates Warning has long been ignored by guitar magazines but this well deserved tribute proves that the band has been a major influence for many musicians for more than a decade.
The book transcribes the following songs:

At Fates Hands
Eleventh Hour
Face The Fear
Guardian
Monument
Nothing Left To Say
Outside Looking In
Point of View
Silent Cries
Through Different Eyes
