This is a picture of me (albeit a drunken me) with Dominique Davalos, the Queen Delphine. You DO know who the Delphines are, don't you?
The Delphines are a trio from LA consisting of Dominique Davalos, Kathy Valentine, and.... well.... that's them. It was just announced that Gina Schock has left the band. Kathy and Dominique are now able to indulge their blues fantasies, something that Gina was not interested in. Gina will be devoting her time to K5, a new band that she fronts. A K5 webpage is a remote possiblity, watch for more details. The Del's are currently working with a drummer named Hillary, and according to all parties she's just amazing and extremely versatile. Dominique says "yea, she's way too good for us"... so I guess she's great! Gina was a lot of fun, but Kathy promises that the Del's are only moving forward into bigger and greater things, so pay attention!
Back in May I spent a long drunken weekend in Austin, TX. There I met up with Joseph and Sergio and we did all sorts of wicked things- the most wicked being that we took in three Del's shows in 3 days. SINFUL! Take a look at the memoirs Joseph and I co-wrote, and you'll get only a very censored look at what occurred during our Delphonic love in... read a thousand beers and a thousand cigarettes!!

Check out the new CD by Spike called "Blue Eyed Soul". You foreign types might know Spike from his old band, the London Quireboys. His new cd is all soul, and even features a Delphines classic, Thrill of it. Kathy and Dominique both play on the CD, and if I'm not mistaken, Denny Freeman does to. It's worth the price.
