You're one of the few people who looked at the fractals. The program I used is on my Download Page: fractint (or "frain"). It runs under DOS, but I just learned that Red Hat 5.1 comes with a version of this sofware, so I'll be lo king for the GNU/UNIX source for myself. When I find it I'll probably post it. Be patient with fractint.

I'm now suspicious of short guestbook entries that say "nice page; visit me." This page, like the last one, holds, hroom, "adult content." I'm not removing the link, however, because it doesn't look like a commercial page, but a personal homepage for an exhibitionist. From now on I think I'll be deleting these "nice site [even though it isn't porn]; please visit my [unrelated porn] site" messages so they don't fill up my guestbook and to encourage realsignatures.

I have removed the page link here because it points to porn. The Web has plenty of other places for porn so it does not need to be in my guestbook. In fact, I do not appreciate the use of my guestbook to trick people into visiting a porn site that b ings as many popups to the desktop as a Montana night brings stars to the sky. Please keep the porn in its appropriate places and you'll make fewer enemies, offend fewer people, and decrease the likelihood that a majority will vote you off the Web comple ely.

It did not. All I saw was a black page with no writing on it (I liked that actually), but I consulted your page source to see if that is what you had intended and it was not. I saw something there that annoyed me (surprise):

As a UNIX user I do not have ActiveX. I stopped reading at that point because I decided that a page specific to MS-Winblows is not a page meant for me. It was probably a nice try, though.

Dear... um what was your name? I'm browsing the neighbourhood, trying to decide where to live and I just wanted to let you know what I thought of your site. I dont usually bother to write to people to tell them since their sites show such a lack of interest, effort and talent that I fail to see the point in using mine on them, however I really liked your site.

Wow, a new paragraph. I thought your writing was very amusing (reminded me of the programmer who I share an office with) even if you are anti-frames. (hey I'm in graphic design I cant help loving them) I also noticed that every time I returned to your index from another page on your site that your counter clocked up another notch (as such). The first time I "hit" your site it was 640 and the last time I was there (just before viewing your submissions page) it was at 648, and I didn't visit everything. Maybe thats why it's so high? One person comes on, get lost and confused checking out all your pages and racks up 50 hits. Just a theory.
