2001

Here I am, with my Carnaval bud-ette, Chris!

Carnaval 2001 was held over two nights again this year, much like last year! Due to depression over the recent loss of my mom, I could only bring myself to go on Saturday night, and even then...if I tapped my foot, I was doing good.  There was no dancing with wild abandon for yours truly this year...so most of the pictures I snapped were taken from the bleachers.

My costume's theme was "2001:  A Space Oddity".
Although it was not as elaborate as I had imagined it could be, it was *something*.  The hat was a silver bicycle helmet adorned with a partying alien, prismatic stickers, and a 2001 table decoration incorporated as a plume.
