Buņuelos

3 cups flour
1 tablespoon shortening
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 medium sticks of cinnamon
Ground cinnamon
Granulated sugar

Put the cinnamon sticks to boil in 3 cups of water.

Mix the flour with the baking powder, and then the shortening until smooth.

Place the hot tea (sweetened to taste) into the mixture - enough to make the dough firm so as to stretch. Roll into balls of dough then roll out with a rolling pin until pliable.

In a frying pan with enough oil to cover the flat dough, fry both sides until golden brown. While hot, sprinkle ground cinnamon and sugar over the top.
