Today was just a ...GOOD day. Everyone was in a good mood..we knew it was our last time to see tori until she comes back to the states. Valerie had managed to get the 5 of us on the guest list for the taping, so it was a very kick back day. We didn't need to camp out or anything. So when we get to Leno the guestlist isn't ready yet. So we go and eat across the street in the restraunt that Valerie had lunch with tori in, the last time she was on Leno...yeah we kinda hoped they decided to eat there again ;]. But tori didn't. We had a nice, lengthy lunch and we all had Margaritas and it was fun. On our way out of the restraunt valerie just offhandedly says "oh there's caton in the bar.." and we all kinda scoot back and look over and see Caton talking to a friend of his. When he looked up we rushed out and i smacked into a womans big boobs. Kinda embarassing..ah well..
So la la we get the guestlist and sit in the back office waiting for them to take the people over. Around 4 we walk over to the studio and get seated. We're about dead center, 2nd row in the stands. The people who had camped out got the seats on the floor..but this place was so small it didn't even matter. It was fun..they occupied us..Leno came out and said hi and he really seems geniunely nice. I got good vibes from him :]. The other guests were Don Rickles and Katie Holmes (from dawsons creek! yay!). So we watch the taping..really fun. The headlines, which david and i love, were really fun to actually see in person. So la la la..it's finally almost tori time. Oh yeah, i'd say 90% of the people were there for tori. You couldn't hear ANYTHING anytime they'd mention her name. It was kinda exciting. So anyhow, before they lifted the thing that showed her..i could see Caton's guitar reflected off the floor...so i kinda figured they were gonna play spark. It lifts we go nuts, but quickly get quiet. She looks really really pretty. Now the Maroon eyebrows are quite nasty and hopefully a one time thing, but other than that shes all glittery and pretty. Its over so quickly. She walked over and..well, im asuming you all saw the performance you know what happens. We watched them tape a couple of promos which was kinda fun...and she was gone. One thing, during her performance..at the end she kinda cracks up...these two guys sitting kinda near her kept trying for her attention and ended up making her giggle like that. It was cute.
So anywho its over and we're practically the last people out. Everyones hob nobbing up front and we notice that Joshua Jackson (from Dawson's Creek & Mighty Ducks) is over with katie. Dude i love him. I'm a huge Mighty Ducks (& dawsons creek, ofcourse) fan. So i'm totally excited. But we're up above so i just stand above and watch him. He looked REALLY cute. He was dressed really nice and his hair was bleached blonde and it really worked for him. I'm like "work it!"
Soooooooo..once we're out we decide to try and Meet tori. No one has EVER met her after Leno and we pretty much know its hopeless, but we gotta try, y'know? Theres about 20 people standing by one of the gates..we don't know if we're in the right spot or what..but we're all just waiting..just incase. After about ten minutes of hangin around We notice Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson standing across the driveway talking. I'm like "ahh!" and all my friends kept telling me to go talk to him. But i get really nervous and i really can't. About 3 people go up to him so i feel a little better about it..and Valerie literally pushes me the whole way over there. I'm kinda waiting when these two girls handed me their camera and asked me to take a picture. It was so strange to look at them through the camera. I hope it didn't blur for them cos i was shaking. That was when i noticed how cute he was lookin and that he had grown some facial hair. These girls seriously went up to him and said "hi can we take a picture" and ran off...well now he's lookin at me and i'm just like "hi...can you sign this.." and he's just like "sure" and i hand him my sharipie and Leno ticket (and he signs using my Tea with waitress cd as support). He asked me my name and i said "erin" [duh] and he asks if its with an E. [with my e's and my ease..ner] Anyhow, he's like "ah...a good irish woman" and i kinda giggle. After he writes just "to erin" i start to tell him that "i've admired your work for..quite a long time" [i'm stumbling around trying not to use the words 'mighty' and 'ducks']. And he smiles and says "since i was way down here" and he brings his hand to like his waist and im like "yup way down there" and he's like "but my head was way up here" and he brings his hand up to his shoulder. And i kinda laugh. Then he fumbles around my ticket and slowly writes a few words. I can tell he's like thinking about what to write. And valerie asks him "so you're a tori fan too" kinda jokingly and he looks at my cd and goes..."oh yeah, im waiting too" and he turns towards the lot and yells "tori! tori!" in a semi higher pitched voice, and we all laugh again.
And he finished up signing his name and said "there ya go" and im just like..thank you bye bye and he said bye..and i scurried back over to the tori line. And he kinda joined the rest of his group and they walked across the street out of sight....Okay he was SO DAMN NICE. I can't get over how nice he was. I think what he wrote on my ticket was "to erin, thanks for keeping up, Joshua Jackson"...but its kinda hard to read. Like i said im BLOWN away by his niceness. The second he made that comment on my name i became completley relaxed. I felt like i was just talking to a nice person. He kicked my butt. I kinda expected him to just sign while talking to someone else. Thank you val for forcing me :]. Anyhow im on cloud nine here...
and then about 10 minutes later i get to cloud 109 :] The CLS 6 Limo pulls up and Joel gets out. He tells us she'll talk, but no signing...our section has to scoot back because we're too close to the street..and we kinda do. I'm seriously kicking myself for not having a camera at this point. For tori AND joshua. Its in the car..i just didn't bring it cos i didn't see the need to...So she's walkin down the line and people are being kinda rude about signing but ya know..she's goin sorta fast but wow. She looked so pretty. Just like on Leno but she didnt have that pink thing. Shes in like all black and the little jewels on her arms are sparkling in the overcast sun. She talks to the person next to me and then turns and looks at me..and i'm kinda like "oh..my turn?" and she gets this cute grin and goes "oh! I've met you before how are you!" and she hugs me really tight. And i'm just like good and ask her how she is..and she says fine [what if she said bad or something? that'd be weird]. She was being so cute to me. I really wish i had a camera. Anyhow she kinda looks at me to see if we're done and i kinda fumble around and say "i just wanna say that i hope your trip to England goes really well" and she grins and says "thank you, i'm sure it'll be fun...but i'll be back and i'll have lots of stories to tell" and kinda says bye and moves on.. Too bad that was one of my favorite times with tori. She remembered me! It's just amazing the way her facial expression changes when she recognizes you. I was just completley blown away by that. I honestly believe she remembers me only from being up front at the show, and from seeing me at breakfast. Im pretty sure she didn't remember me from the meet n greet. It kicked ass. I got my first tori hug in a year and a half. And she hugged me. hehee. YAY!
Anyhow..davids kinda slinking to the back and shes just like "hi!" and reaches out and grabs his hand and shakes it. Kinda cute. hehe. Then Christina goes. And i had to remind her to ask a question :p. She asked her what will happen to the harpsicord songs..and tori went into this long thing about them not really being around cos she cant bring it on tour. She actually talked to her quite awhile. Then joel said "tori this is the end" and kinda smiled cos he saw it was valerie. And tori got all muppety and growled "valerie" and hugged her and they bonded and exchanged words about when she comes back and the backstage area [looks happy for her friend but turns a pale green. hehe]. And then shes gone.
Dude it just kicked butt. I had an absolutley wonderful little chat with Joshua AND tori. I seriously just expected to say hi and bye to tori...it was just..great. And now shes gone till the end of the summer. [sigh] i wish i had my camera. Ah well...i love tori
