Boulder, CO-last show of the DDI tour

i really don't think i could explain the feeling in the air that day. Once again we were freezing and tired..but we didn't care. We were there and we spent the whole day pressed up against the baracades. Me in the same spot. Everyone was so nice and so emotional. Steve didn't give us the speech..he spared us..everyone began to tear up..the crew took pictures of us..it was really...sad..serene...i really couldnt explain it. Well she arrived again when it was dark and freezing..and i was first...she walked up to me and just grabbed me and hugged me. I was taken aback and when she let me go and looked at me i was just like..."hi!"...people behind me began to talk, and she looked me in the eye like "i'm sory, hold on" and talked to the people behind me. She put her hand on my arm that entire time which made me feel all special. When they were done she turned back to me and gave me this look like "okay, now its your turn dear." For some reason i had bought Blue Sky soda earlier that day. I was obsessed with Blue Skies at the time. I handed it to her and began to tell her how much i loved it and how wonderful i thought it was and she was nodding and agreeing with me very enthusiastially and then i said something like "the song is just wonderful.." and she got a smirk on her face and said "oh! i thought you were talking about the soda" and we both just cracked up. It was really funny. Then we took a picture and i asked her to play Fire on the Side. She gave me a weird look and said "well ..um.." i was just like "i know you played part of it not too long ago.." and she said "well i throw in 12 bars of it when i can and...i'll see what i can do about it.." and smiled and moved on. It was really nice. At the last minute i managed 13th row seats with a friend of mine..and on began the most emotionally draining show ive EVER seen. It was tears throughout the entire show.

Tear in you Hand
Daniel
Hey Jupiter

Tears all the way through. First the emotional songs..an emotional story about her fans and appreciating us before marianne..her crying through precious things...Tear in you Hand "waving goodbye" through tears (she literally waved at us)..Daniel she played randomly so Caton could calm down and smoke and then she did Hey Jupiter on the Piano and cried through that. SO emotional. We tumbled out of the seats out to the baricades. When she finally came out i was about 3rd in line to talk to her..and i was still emotional and my friends were crying..and when she got to me i did something i SWORE i would never do. She hugged me..and while i was in the circle of her arms i said "thank you for a wonderful show.." and i broke down and sobbed. She squeezed me reallly tight, looked into my eyes..and turned away. her eyes said everything to me. They said goodbye...they said..see you later..they...they're making me cry as i think about it right now. We kinda milled around till she was on the bus..and walked slightly up the street to say goodbye to friends..and the bus drove by. A small female figure and a tall male figure stood in the windows waving at us. And ...it was time to go home.
