EATON GET OUT
A Look At Military Life in 60's and 70's
Written By: Robert Eaton, Sgt. US Army, 1967-1977
Information About My Book
I decided to write this book about my 10 years in the Army because I wanted to have a story that a large percentage of the army veterans could identify with. I read so many books about the Army and Viet-Nam experiences that dealt with the combat end of war, heroes, and villains. Although I do have a few words to say about combat along with some war stories, the majority of my book deals with day to day army life, especially the humorous events. Some people may find the humor in this story off beat or not humorous at all.  Well, that's army life. It may not seem humorous at the time but looking back there was a lot of humor. My wife, Melissa, laughs at my stories and has encouraged me to put this into print.
Everything I have written is true as best as I can remember. I may have a few dates, names, and places misplaced, but 30 years is a long time to try to remember events.
Much of what I have written has brought back a lot of memories, some of which I would like to have forgotten, but in order to write this story I had to relive the past. So here it is for all to read. I hope you enjoy my story.
I have linked some parts of my story to photos of the events I have scanned, so please click on the links to see some photos. There are no photos of war dead, from either side.
At the bottom of each page you will find a link to the next chapter along with a link to my e-mail.  Please e-mail me to comment about the book. I am not an author, and this is my first attempt at writing. My word processor checked the spelling and my wife checked my grammar, so bear with us.
I WILL WARN YOU THAT THIS BOOK CONTAINS GRAPHIC LANGUAGE.  I wrote it the way we talked in the army. If you are squeamish or don't like graphic language, I suggest you do not read.
All pages in this book along with the photos are copy protected and are the property of Robert O. Eaton. Permission to copy is only authorized by me, Robert Eaton.
