Web Design Tips

For someone starting out in Web designing, here are some tips and many helpful links that will get you on your way.

First you need to have a home for your page.  I recommend Geocities.  They allow you to have free web space and e mail.   Another good free e mail, which is great at keeping your identity a secret, is Hotmail.

Ok now you have a home for your site you need to know how to make one.  Well some people like such programs as MS publisher and Front Page,  I feel that those are the easy way and not quite "real".  It is good for beginners to get a feel for designing and be familiar with the lay out.  For the advanced and intermediates I recommend for them to check out a lot of different sites and when there is something that interests you in the site…. Go to file in Netscape and see source code.  This will allow you to view the HTML language that was used to create the site.

So now you have been researching sites and you kinda have some knowledge on HTML and how to you Java scripts for your own sites (by using the helpful links below).  You need to have someone see your site.  Yeah sure you can give the address to a bunch of friends and hope the word gets around….. Wrong.  So we have things like search engines to help us as well as banner exchanges.

Some more help can be if you want to know if your site is running correctly.  Are the graphics loading fast enough?  Is your site "well designed".  So there are some sites below under  "extras" that will help that.  Also if you want to know about counters and applets to spice up your site

I hope this has helped some lost people in the world of web designing and helped kick off some beautiful sites.  If this site has helped any or you have some critiques….Please, Please write I would love to hear from you on successful or failure stories.  Thanks
